A Red Nose Reindeer…
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy, mild, showery, savory island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on yet another Christmas Day, The Twenty-Fifth Day of December, 2017. It is a wet one here at Craigville Beach as ‘Santa’s Sleigh’ gets ready to head out to the western most point on this famous peninsula and have some of that holiday cheer everybody keeps talking about.
Even though many consider this day sacred, the day Jesus was born, many more take it as just another day off from ‘a day at work’, perhaps enjoying the lights and music, presents, food and drink. Whatever your ‘angle’ of this day may be, please keep those who are without in your hearts and minds. Perhaps taking the Joy one may glean from giving into New Year, making a real resolution to be kinder, gentler, and above all, more loving. After all, that’s what it’s all about…
The classic Christmas special, circa 1964, via creator Robert Lewis May, that has tested ‘time’ and won, “Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer”, spoke to this theme. Even the “Abominable Snowman” comes around at the end. Using his special skill of ‘height’ to place a shining star at the top of all the Christmas trees in Christmas Town way up at the North Pole. Rudolph not only has a shiny nose to guide Santa through the fog, but the heart to lead ALL to what really matters;
LOVE.
Today, tomorrow and beyond…
Have a wonderful Christmas good people of the World! Wherever you may be receiving this simple ‘message in a bottle’, reminded that a good feeling does not reflect dogma, and a child’s smile does not have borders or fences…
God Bless US everyone!
PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
