A cardboard box

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the milky sun skied, cool and always inviting island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this Saturday morning, coming to you LIVE from the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s)–this Twenty-Sixth Day of September, 2015–another good day to be alive on a little sand bar that glaciers built during “The Last Great Ice Age” 11,500 years ago…

Pope Francis is all over the airwaves of this great and proud nation of very good people.  And why not?  The man who many believe is the closest human to our perception of God, has taken the East Coast by Storm.  Philadelphia today and early tomorrow when he jets back to Rome, yesterday New York City’s Madison Square Garden, where he gave a Mass that WILL be remembered.  And, of course, his Papal visit to Washington earlier this week, where he made his mark on the souls of some these elected representatives of “THE PEOPLE”.  Indeed, so much so that the Speaker of the United States House of Representatives resigned suddenly, notably right after meeting the Pope.  Coincidence?  You be the judge Greg!  It matters not what this simple reporter ‘thinks’, what is clear however is the FACT that his message of Love, Peace, Compassion, Mercy, Kindness, and above all FORGIVENESS (especially for oneself, one’s real self, as well as one’s “enemies”–resonated with one man in particular.  Republican Senator hailing from the great state of Ohio, John Boehner. A good man who was admirably emotional during the Pontiff’s speech to a Joint Session of Congress only days ago, continuing to be moved many times after that, and upon his announcemnt to the press core, he revealed a beaming smile, noting visible relief all over his face.  It was as if he was reborn and could breathe again.  God Bless you John!  May you have a wonderful rest of that LIFE.

For that is what it is all about, LIFE, and the preservation of it. I hope they got the memo.

And took it to heart.

SEA you next time; same bat time, same bat channel!
