‘Occupy KITTY?’
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, windy island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Friday afternoon, the fourth day of November, 2011, a beautiful one on Cape, with a windy sun and cool temperatures, blowing the leaves off the many trees that adorn this magnificent treasure created by the Last Great Ice Age over 11,500 years ago. As you can see today, we here at seacapecod.net are having some technical difficulties, as it seems the Maine Coon kitties have overtaken the blog post and the entire operation,‘Occupy’ Cape Cod as it were, and as a symbol of our commitment to this peaceful cause for social JUSTICE and EQUALITY for ALL–as it is so clearly spelled out in our Constitution–we offer this peaceful new born ‘Cape Cod Kitty’…. ‘Meow…please don’t pepper spray me!’ Yes, the Constitution, a document designed by far wiser men than the ones currently in congress to make sure that one group of ‘people’, i.e. corporations that CORRUPT the system of our democracy, democracy with that little letter ‘d’, do not run this great ship, of over 308 million people, into the rocks, as we toss about in a sea of despair, disillusionment and discouragement, ‘feeling’ as though WE don’t have the right to stand up and scream, “I’m mad as hell and I am not going to take it anymore!’ (credit the classic film “Network”), a statement that would be fantastic if, for once, it was blurted out by an employee, preferably an anchor, over at one of Rupert Murdoch’s fun fact spin offs such as FOX NEWS, where, one day, an enlightened soul WOKE UP suddenly and realized he had been wasting his life, and selling his soul, for a louse who makes money off of other people’s suffering. Hallelujah Brother! Ah, we can dream can we not? Speaking of the Occupy Movement, I was amazed at the “Occupy Denver” footage, my old home town, that I watched on “The Rachel Maddow Show”, only on MSNBC, airing every weeknight at 9 and midnight, EDT, whose guest was none other than the great film maker and activist extraordinaire, Mr. Michael Moore. Mr. Moore was at the HUGE event in lower down town, ‘Lodo’, Denver and spoke to Rachel at ‘The Tattered Cover‘ book store, famous in Denver. He spoke to the TRUTH as to the FACT that this thing is way ‘too big to fail’, and will continue until things do improve, for WE ARE THE MAJORITY and we still LIVE in a democracy, thus, the big banks, who WE bailed out, are doomed to eventual destruction, a destruction of their OWN making I might add. For by being extremely greedy and cruel to ‘the little people’, the credibility that these ‘bankers’ once had is LONG GONE, and thus, there will be few to no tears when they do fall, just like the Roman Empire did so many moons ago, for like it, the current rigged system of ‘government’ we have right now is being led into the LIGHT of the TRUTH and will be exposed for EXACTLY what it is, how it operates, what it has gotten away with and finally what is the best solution for it’s dismantling, for no one in their right mind, save ‘the Brother’s Koch’, and some of their pals in and around Washington, not to mention parts of Texas, would want this current sham of a government ‘of, by and for the PEOPLE’ to last very much longer, especially with all of the needless suffering going on today. One need only open one’s eyes to truly see what has been going on in the past thirty, some would say fifty plus years, revealing all of the smoke and mirrors, loud noises and fearful epitaphs emanating from ‘the man behind the curtain’ (monopolized, global corporate titans), exposing ‘it’ for the grand illusion that, again, it IS! I have said my peace! Have a weekend and please Google, should you desire, OXFAM or savethechildren.org, two fine organizations that are helping to stave off the massive famine crisis going on in Eastern Africa, as millions of women and children are dying of hunger and thirst on the Somalian/Ethiopian Border as well as the Kenyan/Somalian borders… Your help is greatly needed and appreciated!
