“20th Century Go to Sleep”
Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the rain driven, balmy, windy and sometimes dark island of Nantucket! ‘Tis very good to be with you and yours on another day good for ducks here at the Historic Hyannis Harbor, the Fifth Day of February, 2016. On an early Friday morning this humble reporter hopes you and yours are safe and sound wherever this little ‘message in a bottle’ may be reaching that shore you find yourself living on presently…
Things are speeding up folks and it is showing no signs of let up. Like the rain outside, all seems lost at times. But like the famous R.E.M. rock sound stated circa 1988, “…if you feel like giving up, and you feel all alone, days are nights…. If think you’ve had too much of this life...hang on.”
‘Everybody hurts. Everybody cries. Everybody hurts. Sometimes….’
To the ways of old–yes to all of that horrible greed, to all that hate, to all that endless lust for power, to the enslavement of the individual in countless ways in this ‘modern 21st century, to the build up of the individual and collective ego, to all of the man made addictions, to the ’selfie’ fame, and fame in general, to the quest for glory, to the slave based concept of a criminal fractional reserve/monetary-market system, to go hand in hand with the equally criminal Federal Reserve Bank, to the illusion technology that only serves for surveillance, a dangerous cyberspace never leading to true love or redwoods… To the horrible destruction of all of our animals, plants, air, water and blessed soil, lo, to all the inhumanities done by man to man in the century that proceeded this current one, i.e. the 20th, and all the others before it–“go to sleep”.
