Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the dark, cool showered, sheltered, sober island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this drizzly mixed up Tuesday morning, The Seventeenth Day of March, 2020, broadcasting LIVE from Ocean Street here in Hyannis, well before dawn’s arrival.

AHOY!

The U.S. President Donald J. Trump ‘did a good job’, tearing a rotator cuff patting himself on his own back at the same time, yesterday at a White House press conference, as the Dow Jones dropped nearly 3000 points, 13%, worst drop since 1987; speaking with more urgency and seriousness, bringing more Americans on board to the FACT of just how dangerous this virus truly is. Giving himself a ‘10′ out of 10 regarding his and his admiration’s efforts in taming this vicious Tiger was a bit of a stretch, however at the same time, he suggested that no more than 10 people gather together due to COVID-19’s extreme contagious nature.

Seeming to indicate he may just now be getting it.

Perhaps rising above his need to be praised for any action regardless of it’s importance to the rest of US.

Some U.S. governors however. around the country, are scratching their collective heads, when the president also  hinted that ’they were on their own’, ‘try getting those ventilators, respirators, medical safety equipment by yourselves’. Making the whole fiasco just that much more bizarre, as Americans walk around in a deep fog of fear, confusion and trepidation.

With U.S. hospitals shaking with terror at the tsunami headed their way…

When you SEA bars, restaurants, clubs, gyms, movie theaters, schools, colleges, the world of sports, you name it, going dark on this St. Patrick’s Day, it should send chills down your spine and yet may also serve to wake some of the snoozing citizenry of this great Republic. For when everyday life is turned on it’s head, that song of sorrow will come in the form of a somber trumpet playing “Revelry” just before the sun rises, prompting tough troops to get up and get at it.

WE are all the same boat;

everyone doing their part to be a part of the solution;

not a part of the problem.

The legend of St. Patrick driving the snakes from Ireland could be used as a metaphor to define this crisis. We must all act like this Englishman, ironically, taking these suggestions, offered by the experts, seriously;

and acting on them accordingly.

May you have a ‘10′ today, in heart, mind, body and spirit.  This great state of Massachusetts’ motto is “The Spirit of America”. Hopefully, in some small, yet powerful way, that sentiment will sit like the morning dew on every deep green four leaf clover you SEA,

setting each and every one of you;

FREE!

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day!

PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
