Finally arriving at your chosen destination reached as one steps into a famous “Centerville Penny Candy Store”, pulling out cash to purchase unique, unforgettable items; from beautiful local art to a piece of salt water taffy for a later on treat, an original established in 1856.

Good to be with you on this Twenty-Eighth Day of July, 2018!  It’s a quiet Saturday morning before the storm, for in only an hour or so Craigville Beach and all the other destinations scattered about this ‘neck of the woods’ will be filled to capacity.  People from all over, especially city dwellers, escaping the rather warm temperatures we all have been feeling in this current month of July.

Of course tonight the dreaded ‘Blood Moon’, full, will be rising in the East, with all kinds of theories floating about as to the meaning of ‘it’ all. Is the world about to end? Will Russian invade? Will Whoopie Goldberg every shut the hell up?

Perhaps the best, and really only thing to do, is live in the present MOMENT and let the rest take care of itself. Free will is over rated. Life happens while you are making your ‘plans’. God is in charge. So get used to it. Life is so much easier when one let’s go completely.

So, if you have not booked your “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” yet to make it to perhaps the best vacation spot on ‘the big, blue, spinning, ball’ way out in ’space’, what are you waiting for? Perhaps August? That’s when those in the know spend at least a month here on these hallowed shores. The water temperature is 75 degrees, the days are temperate, the nights comfortable and most of the kids have gone back to school…

However, to get the full effect of Cape Cod and the aforementioned Island’s iconic charm, magic, grace and beauty, one must leave the ’smart phone’ at home. Sorry.  Let it ring. No one will be there to answer. For by ditching the dreaded devices, you and yours might actually have a real, LIVE conversation while dining on New England’s finest lobster.  Sitting in the moment, feeling the love you have for your family, in awe taking in that breathtaking sunset. Sleeping to the rhythm and rhyme of ocean waves, stripping the negative energy that you have been carrying around for years. Waking refreshed the next morning to witness a sun rise that changes your life, sharing that moment with the majestic Osprey flying high over head, diving down into the Sound below, talons grasping breakfast for her new born chicks.  Soaring away to her private home among the many nests offering these mighty birds a 360 degrees view of their world;

On this early Wednesday morning in quaint, historic Centerville, many a village are preparing for the big day.  Like the towns of Falmouth, Sandwich, Hyannis, Provinctown, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket; all gearing up for the fireworks displays later on tonight. The weather cooperating this year so all will feel and hear, SEA and taste what summer is all about on this little sand bar that ‘time’ forgot.

Independence is a funny word, it’s very definition meaning different things to so many different people. The World has always looked to America for inspiration regarding this sentiment, a core element to freedom itself. Although powerful forces are hard at work to redefine what that word will mean to you and yours in the future, for right NOW, in this present reality we all share at this moment, all that we really have and all that is REAL;

it’s nice to know people still think about just how important the word really is. Remembering not to take it for granted…
