Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the overcast, warming, CALM, blooming island of Nantucket! Good to be with you and yours on this Twenty-Eighth Day of March, 2018; a very quiet Wednesday morning indeed on these sacred shores soon to be teeming with all sorts of people from all sorts of lands. One aspect of this charmed sand rock formation created be retreating glaciers from the Last Great Ice Age over 11,500 years ago is the fact that from one season to the next, it’s sometimes hard to recognize the path you have taken so many times before.

Everything looks brand new, reborn. That is what this season of Spring represents to this cowboy. A fresh start, a new beginning, a rediscovery of who you really ARE and what your purpose really is on this beautiful Earth. Is it to make fiat money and invest all of your heart, mind, body and soul to that one quest? To serve the bloody man made (thus can be man un-made), matrix which has served to make you into a zombie like slave? A slave to not only their system of mindless consumption, but a slave to their way of perceiving this blessing called LIFE in the first place? Virtual reality machines designed to deceive and destroy what is left of the good all around you. To be in constant contact, via touch, sight, hearing with what has become your best friend, AI! Literally breathing life into the Beast via ’the smart phone’, spying on your every move and sending it back to ‘headquarters’!

After shoveling out from the third Nor’easter in less than two weeks, with another on the way?, it’s nice to SEA the sun shining so brightly on this Saturday morning, The Seventeenth Day of March, 2018.  Many a toast to yet be had, of course millions upon millions celebrating the day St. Patrick drove the snakes from Ireland, or at least that’s the information this humble reporter was told at some bar on 5th Avenue in New York many, many moons ago…

Alcohol is a funny thing, with most American adults addicted to some degree or another. Big drinking holidays such as this one always bring out the ‘best’ in people, don’t they? Having been known to enjoy a pint or two, no judgement here! Just remember, the word “alcohol” is derived from the Arabic term “Al-Kuhl”, which translates into “…body eating spirit”. Nice. That explains a lot… This actually serves as the origin for the English word “ghoul”; according to Middle Eastern folklore, a ghoul is an evil demon designed to eat human bodies.

Alcohol consumption is something that is not only widely accepted in our society, but in many cases and social settings actually implied and expected. It sometimes seems in our society that the only way to have fun is to include alcohol in the equation. When one ingests too much of this poison, subsequently ‘blacking out’, or not recalling the previous night’s ‘fun’, there is more going on than meets the EYE…

This happens when the good soul (the one we were sent here with), leaves because the living conditions were too polluted and too traumatic to tolerate.
