Midnight Run

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 7:19 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the dark, starry skied, chilly island of Nantucket! Great to be with you once again on a Monday morning–the 30th day of November, 2015–coming to you LIVE from the historic Hyannis Waterfront at this half past five a.m. hour.  The sun has yet to rise, and the ‘Grey Lady’ you SEA above deck will be on her way to that fabled island of Nantucket, some 27 nautical miles south/southeast of this hub, in an hour, giving one plenty of ‘time’ to read this carefully composed propaganda material.

Perhaps old Sea Cape Cod is not that.  But if that is what you wish for, you are in LUCK! For at your grasp, even at this early hour, are hundreds of bad media choices, lo, thousands.  Perhaps tens of thousands of said propaganda to be absorbed on so many bought and sold corporate stages.  So many, it would be hard to grasp the amount of dis-information being peddled on a daily basis.  All created to keep the masses in the dark about what the Illuminati, via the Bilderberg Group, the Trilateral Commission and Council on Foreign Relations, are really up to.

Make no mistake about it folks, something stinks in Denmark and it is not what you might think it is.

If all of the American people were to suddenly WAKE UP and take a good hard look at all the hor$e$hit swirling about the toilet bowel–manifested in an UN-holy marriage between the media and corporate interests-24/7 nonsense pushed down that citizenry’s throat via the bright and shiny, distracting entertainment holding no value, well, one might just look at the reason behind the first American Revolutionary War.  The King of England’s rule that the then American colonists MUST pay back ALL debts to the Central Bank of England, in other words, stay economic slaves to the status quo.  Hence the Revolution.

For unbeknownst to Sarah Palin, and those dumb enough to follow her–or those who pull her stings to make her mouth move and her hands sway wildly back and forth, no, they already know, they created this concept and policy, or their ‘forefathers’, ghosts of the ‘men behind the curtain’ today did–yes, unknown to those in this country who will inexplicably continue to vote against their OWN best interests (that vote being in favor of the Corporatocracy’s best interests), is the FACT that terrorism has been created by those in REAL POWER, in the darkness of shadow.

To sway vast majorities of people to believe WE need to invade countries illegally.  Killing millions of civilians in the process, so as to create military bases, dominate the OIL production in the region and keep that area in constant flux.  All while setting the stage for the monstrous military industrial complex to keep on making BANK. For after all, it is the banks who own the WORLD; destroying it for FUTURE GENERATIONS!

“...Hope it’s a wonderful coffee shop Jack!”

~credit the film, circa 1988, “Midnight Run”, starring Robert De Niro and Charles Grodin

Wars that take away every day America citizen civil liberties, guaranteed under the sacred and some might say Divinely Inspired UNITED STATES CONSTITUTION!  All in the name of ‘protecting’ it’s citizenry and to make loads of cash for defense contractors and ultimately give the Executive complete and total control over the population.  Putting a micro chip in every ‘citizen’, where all ‘money’, credit, information, everything is stored, just like George Orwell predicted in his book, “1984″. Thus being able to track all movements of all citizens, and if someone speaks up and complains, they’ll just turn off the chip.  For one must know where one’s slave is, I mean, employee.  Oh, and that FACT that all this made up war is meant to continue forever.

So there’s that.

It seems to this reporter that all is NOT lost.  That somehow, somewhere, there is a wealthy group that does not want to SEA a few greedy bastards destroy what took Mother Nature millions of years to create, i.e. the Wilderness.  Or as singer, song writer Gorden Lightfoot of Canada once said in a song, “…the dark green forest, too silent to be real.”

WE shall SEA!

Have a great week folks!  Hopefully keeping in mind that TV is the illusion.  You are the real thing, and much, much, much more POWERFUL than you can possibly imagine!  And GOOD LUCK to all of the leaders, especially U.S. President Barack Obama, convening in Paris for a two week summit on GLOBAL WARMING.  This is the coming cataclysm that WILL dwarf ALL war.  One would be wise to listen to reason, logic and TRUTH.

Will there be swans? 2.0

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 6:42 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the dusky, still quite warm, sun faded island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Friday evening, the 27th day of November, 2015, and I apologize for ‘not getting back to you’, for I have been engrossed all day on such a stunner, either on line shopping or frolicking around the Cape Cod Mall, “Black Friday”, y’all, spending loads of cash so as to make sure them stock holders are happy, “at the end of the effing day!’…

Not really, this humble reporter spending it like yesterday, on the Ocean.  Walking along the many beaches, forests and marshes, with no one for miles around, spending ‘time’ alone, being as far away from ‘the things of man’ (credit the film, circa 1990, “Joe versus The Volcano”, starring Meg Ryan, Tom Hanks and the late, great Lloyd Bridges; a must SEA as it were, perhaps getting one into that corporate ‘flexible frame’ for the upcoming holiday!), as I possibly could. I must say, it was a reflection I have never seen  before.

Although, hold on, don’t fear, it’s almost ‘time’ to put on the old ROKU streaming device!  One new technology Sea Cape Cod highly recommends for anyone who wishes to ‘take their TV back’, grabbing it from your corporate overlords who push their ‘thinking’ and philosophy 24/7, void of humanity but heavy on sorrow and strife, war and pain, “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”?

The directives of this fabulous “New World Order”, brought to you by ‘the Bilderberg Group, The Trilateral Commission, and of course our friends at The Council on Foreign Relations, the granddaddy of this ruling elite. Highly secretive groups; dark and mysterious as those ruling “men behind curtain”. The same grand architects of this GRAND CANYON gap between the haves and the ever growing have nots. Men who run the corporate ‘news” shows filled with many subliminal messages delivered via some sassy, bright and shiny, not too informative mouthpieces (many exceptions of course; MSNBC, I’m looking at you!), spewing the ‘message’ from ‘on high’ to the masses in either a direct or indirect, implied or frank, implicit or explicit fashion that confuses more than it informs; most of that information complete and unadulterated hor$e$hit…

Speaking of that excrement, have you had the opportunity to catch some of that fine television coverage bringing the comic stylings of one Donald Trump, still the leading Republican candidates for the highest office in the land, The President of the United States?

Ask yourself this, is this still really a question?  If all of the so called ‘think tanks’ on the right side of the aisle were smart, they would figure out a way to boost real credible candidates like Jeb! or John Kasich before this genie can’t be put back in the bottle.  Come on!  30% of the ‘vote’ via the ‘polls’ means nothing at this moment, fleeing as it is, and the establishment KNOWS this.  So what is the hold up?  You have bigger fish to fry.

And that is not going to be easy, not with all the anti-immigration policy y’all have, now will it? You know, ‘at the end of day.’

Have a great rest of the week end and if you can’t get to nature, at least take a few moments to view it on that 5×7 device that keeps many with their head down, instead of where it should be,

Thanks, ‘from the docks’…

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, breezy, balmy, beautiful island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this perfect Thanksgiving morning here at the Hyannis Harbor, the 26th day of November, 2015.  Safe to say that the image you SEA above deck is a mirror of what this reporter is observing at this ten o’clock hour, a perfect sailing day if there ever was one, and I imagine that the spirit of both Teddy Kennedy and Walter Cronkite are embracing that concept at this every moment…

There is little doubt that WE all share a common human connection with the little recognized emotion of Gratitude.  Even if it is not clear in one’s own ’set and setting’. Gratitude opens up channels in our hearts, minds and souls, connecting US to the reality that WE are all ONE.  Thus, you are never really alone.  WE are all part of One Infinite Consciousness that transcends ALL ‘barriers’ such as hate, intolerance and war.  Eventually, the human race will wake up to the FACT that living a life of love, peace, joy, ecstasy, and harmony is infinitely better that what we have today.

Cheers! to all hard working American people who could use a break in this day and age of greed run a muck… Perhaps one day actually being represented by people who give a damn about what this holiday is really all about.

Followed up by one of even more significance.

Have a Happy Thanksgiving everybody!

“Dances with Wolves”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 11:03 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, cool, quite delightful island of Nantucket!  ‘Tis very good to be with you on this eve of Thanksgiving, Wednesday, November 25th, 2015, a jaw dropping day out there on the road to pleasant, i.e., the historic Hyannis Waterfront, a place one must visit to truly appreciate, as this is, after all, where the whole concept of Thanksgiving began.  The Wampanoag Indians breaking bread with Puritan Englishman who found a way to work together as opposed to slaughtering one another…

There is enough for everyone of God’s children.

I was just listening to some John Denver, taking a break from the fascinating news ‘clips’ from the ‘old ROKU’ streaming device.  Sea Cape Cod highly recommends taking in some YouTube videos of the man and his amazing music, concert after concert.  A man who died way, way, way too young, 54.  His plane crashing into Monterey Bay outside of San Francisco.  He was flying a test plane and there was something amiss with the fuel tanks, thus ending what was a brilliant musical presence on this planet.  John was beloved by millions and will be missed for all of his hard work in the fields of the humanitarian, television, movie and environmental career that he shined the most brightly.  His work in, on and OF the environment was unparalleled in the entertainment industry and was a big contributor to the Wildlife Conservation Society.  To wit he also provided one of the best “Wildlife Concerts” in history as far as this reporter is concerned.  SEA if you can locate the name of the song these lyrics below belong to.  Perhaps reflecting upon said words this Thanksgiving holiday.  For this day of thanks is not, nor has it ever been, a day that marks the beginning of MORE consumption.  It should usher in the spirit of the season; namely that of…

“…And you say that the battle is over, finally the war is all done.”

“Go tell it to those with wind in their nose, who run from the sound of a gun.”

“And write it on the sides of the great whaling ships, or on ice flows where conscience is tossed…”

“With a wild in their eyes it is they who must die;

WE who must measure the loss.”

“And you say that the battle is over, finally the world is at Peace”

“You mean no one is dying and mother’s don’t weep?”

“Or it’s not in the papers at least?”

“There are those who would deal in the darkness of life…”

“There are those who would tear down the sun…”

“And most men are ruthless,

but some will still weep when the gifts we are given are gone…”

“For the blame cannot rest on the heads of the few…,

It’s become such a part of the race.”

“It’s eternally  tragic, that that which is magic, be killed at the end of the glorious chase.”

“From the young seals to the great whales”

“From the waters to the wood”.

“They will fall just like weeds in the wind…”

“With perfume and fur coats and trophies on walls,

what a hell of a race to call men…”

“And you say that the battle is over, finally the war is all done?”

“Go tell it to those with the wind in their nose who run from the sound of a gun…”

“And write it on the sides of the great whaling ships,

or ice flows where conscience is tossed.”

“With a Wild in their eyes, it is they that must die.”

“WE, who must measure the LOSS!”

“With a wild in their eyes, it is they who must die, and we that will measure the COST.”

~John Denver

A great, safe and happy Thanksgiving to ALL; even those who do not SEA, yet?

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, brisk, breezy and always beautiful island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you and yours on this most glorious day here at the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s), Monday, the Twenty-Third Day of November, 2015.  The rains have finally vacated the region and the month of November is finally beginning to feel like it should, although, we have yet to get a real hard frost, and that should tell ya somethin’…

This just in from NBC, a little known interview done, of course, over the phone, with Republican presidential hopeful Donald Trump (leading in national polls with 32%);  Casey Hunt scoring the exclusive.  A candidate for the highest office in the land, deciding to double down on his Islamophobic comments regarding the U.S. Muslim population.  A position of ’surveillance’ being top priority.  New, devious waves possessing deep  fear of more terror continues to haunt Europe.  The Capital of Belgium, Brussels, being on literal lock down again today–day three–thus a feeling of not being able to do your normal daily actives being more literal than virtual. For the real threat that what happened in Paris is being, according to intelligence officials, planned for that city as well, is a frightening and daunting prospect.  Demanding more than just stupid sound bites written by political consultants for politicians to deliver to a very dumb ed down American citizenry, through no fault of their own mind you, as the daily corporate crap is finely tuned to keep the masses in the dark. Expatriate Americans being ordered to ’shelter in place’, whatever that is supposed to mean, and travel has been deemed dangerous for anyone who wishes to bow to fear.  Indeed, with all of this in the background, it seems old Donald, “get him the hell out of here!”, Trump  had this to say to our fearless reporter…

“Yeah, ah Casey, like I said before, we need more surveillance of ‘dees here Muslims.  And you know what, waterboarding is back!  I mean it’s peanuts compared to what these guys do, am I right?  So what my plan is, well, first off, it’s all about ‘the management’, we have to get that down right? OK, now the next step is making sure that we get the microchips ready and put ‘em in the GMO’s, like “Wonder Bread”, and ‘den we can get a better handle on this devious group.  I mean ‘deez women are posing as U.S. citizens?  Come on Casey, are you fooled with that bit?  And forget about letting any of them Syrian refugees in, they are on there own!  They can eat sand as far as I am concerned.  Just because 90 percent are women and children has nothing to do with it, nor the fact that they are vetted more than any U.S. Congressman, but I digress.  I can SEA right through ‘of dat sophisticated infiltration of our beloved country, one that I plan on making great again, you know, with all of my insane policies!  Again, I digress.  Getting back to those damn Muslims, especially those in the U.S., I have this to say…  So what they have been here all there lives, have kids, careers, lives, houses, and even a boat in some cases?  I don’t  care!  Like the 11 million undocumented immigrants about to get kicked out of this country, to put it politely and humanely, I am going to, like the protester from the odder day, get them the hell out of here!  And as far as I am concerned, they are all guilty until proven otherwise.  So let’s get more cameras up!  Lets’ build that mindless wall all along the U.S./Mexico border, and let’s make damn sure we give as much money as possible to our newest and best est buddies, the NSA!  “When” I am elected President, I am going to turn this country into something along the lines of what they got there in North Korea.  Yeah, I am going to know what everybody is thinking, saying and what they’re doing.  Complete control.  George Orwell has got nothing on me Casey, let me tell you that OK?  I am 1984!  Anyway it has been really great talking with you and I have always admired MSNBC, way over FOX!  But keep that under you hat won’t you?  God, between you and me, I hate this political crap.  Just as much as Barry Crimmins hated comedy, no, that’s what the great comedian once said on stage, in fact I think it was in 1984, can you believe that?  That’s why George Stephanopoulos over at ABC NEWS, yeah, that’s why he and I have this here arrangement where I just go ahead and call it in.  Usually, I am not in a suit and tie, that I can assure you of, and that is why women adore me!  Oh, well, maybe not Megan Kelly over at FOX, but that’s her loss, am I right?  Anyway, if I could quote a line from one of my favorite movies of all time, “…chicks dig me, because rarely wear underwear, and when I do,  it’s usually something pretty unusual…” (credit Bill Murray in the classic 1981 film, “Stripes”), that in and of itself pretty much sums me up, so I figure that if I can get half of the woman to vote for me, and they know they want to, I will win this here election, even though I will be running against, ah, a woman.  Oh, what am I talking about, they just haven’t talked ‘to the man of the house’ yet!  As that is my new “Robo” call thing I got going on, anyways, this is all going to work out, ’cause no one is going to support Jeb! At least I hope not, and the only one that might give me a hard time is that Ted Cruz fella, who I can’t figure out yet.  I am not sure if I like him or hate him.  Probably that latter.  I hate anyone who get’s in my ego’s way.  That I can tell you Casey!  Listen good luck over at NBC and tell all the good folks who work over ‘der to have a great Thanksgiving!  Peace out, Donald!.”

Have a great week, gobble gobble…

Peace be with you

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cloudy, misty, quite balmy island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this Sunday morning ‘down at the docks’ of Hyannis Harbor, as the sun rise was witnessed by this reporter only moments ago.  A distinct and irresistible ‘Light in the Distance’; rising slowly despite the soft rain drops falling on the glass of a moon roof.  This is of course, the Twenty-Second Day of November, 2015, and Thanksgiving is right around the corner, followed up by all the other holidays and celebrations such as Christmas and Passover, wherein hopefully, like the sun through a rain filled and threatening sky, ultimately brings a bit of peace to the World, ushering in a New Dawn consisting only of that most elusive, yet most gratifying gifts of all…

Have a Wonderful Sunday folks!

Great Scott!

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:34 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, gorgeous, pleasantly cool and quite calm island of Nantucket! Great to be with you from down at the docks’ here at the Hyannis Harbor, as you can most clearly SEA ‘above deck’.  Welcome to the Cape! on this Saturday morning, the 21st day of November, 2015.   A shining sun beaming down from on high, and spirits are up in this little historic hamlet made famous for all sorts of reasons, none so much as the spirit of our 35th President of the United States, John F. Kennedy, who made his mark on this world with a LIGHT that, dare I say, was brighter than the one shining down on “The Great Point” as we ’speak’…

His ideas and vision of a world without war was unparalleled in modern time, for he knew and heeded his predecessor’s words of wisdom, U.S. President Dwight D. Eisenhower, who famously said in 1960, “…but above all, we should be warned of the growing military industrial complex,,,”, for in the end, that is what this is really all about, you know, when you boil it all down for fun.  War is a big business and a big money maker.

Just ask any real historian, they’ll tell “ya!” (credit the comedic stylings of one half governor of the great state of Alaska and once a proud VP nominee, give it up for the hilarious Sarah Palin, who WE all miss a great deal, I’m sure…)

What are you gonna do?  Promoting peace does not sell Ad space on the old “TV machine” (credit Rachel Maddow, “TRMS”, only on MSNBC!), and of course, runs counter clock wise to what is really going on in the world today, you know, with the shadowy groups that remain ‘at bay’ or ‘at the Ritz’ rather, ‘the man (men) behind the curtain’, whom you and everyone you know, should pay no attention to, lo, pay attention instead to all of them loud noises, the crap we throw at you daily via your ’smart phones’, cable, radio and satellite!  Yep, you betcha!  Endless distractions, OCD like electronic leashes, and the current monetary-market system, via the fractional reserve banking system.  A system (unsustainable), that is slowly destroying planet EARTH.  All of the aforementioned subtle mind control designed to keep you in the dark. Yeah, so pay attention to those guys over on “FOX “news”.  For ‘at the end the day, you, your children, family, pets, everyone you LOVE, and planet will be so, so, so much better off!

“Yeah did you get that memo?”, oh, and by the way, we lost some people last week so we have to play some catch up…, so I’m gonna go ahead and ask you to come in on Saturday, and it’s not a half day, or anything like that… (the boss from the classic 1999 film, “Office Space”, speaking with the ‘wayward’ corporate ‘employee’; written, wincing real pain in face and body, seemingly with every word spoken in that lovely patronizing, degrading tone, going on to add..), oh yeah, I almost forgot (spinning around with his corporate coffee cup well in hand), I’m gonna go ahead and ask you to come in on Sunday too, yeah…, (then turning around he waves his hand at said employee stating), “OK, thanks a bunch Peter!” (leaving our hero full of self-pity, loathing, deep sadness, helplessness, with a touch of despair…).

If only a few corporations, whom this reporter once worked for, you know, some of the biggest cons out there, like the insurance industry, whoa Nelly! Smelly business that.  Especially whole concept of the American for profit model versus the European way, i.e., health care for ALL. “At the end of the day”, a saying I just love to mock, sorry, it would save this country a boat load of CASH, yes, if only few of these multinational corporations WOKE UP, the rest would follow, for ‘at the end of that DAY’, when the resources are gone, there won’t be an “the economy” to worry about, and them too big to fail banks, well, you get the picture.  Imagine companies actually caring more about people than this rabid ’share holder responsibility nonsense?  If WE realized that we are all ONE in the ‘grand scheme of things’, companies might become Enlightened and lead the way into this 21st Century.

And more people would enjoy this thing called LIFE!

The whole point of this silly dream, or illusion if you please…

Have a great day folks, hopefully stepping out to smell them roses!

Fancy Land

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 10:45 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy, misty, windy and quite mysterious island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this day most made ducks, for they do like a good splash now and again, and they always seem to have a smile on their bill.  This is of course Friday, a soggy day down here at ‘the docks’ of the Hyannis Harbor, not but a stone’s throw to the sunny Main Street seen ‘above deck’; a town that is still in Fall mode, as Thanksgiving is but a week away from this 20th day of November, 2015.

The fun goes on!

New York is under high alert, as is Washington D.C., for the terror threat that proved itself in the death and destruction presented recently is only seemingly intensifying.  The call for more war in the way of sending OUR brave men and women into a quagmire does not seem wise, ‘at this juncture’, and President Obama is doing an outstanding job of balancing those two extremes: recreating the Iraq War or intelligent intervention.  Especially when one factors in the fact WE, the WORLD, are dealing with people “possessing a moral backbone equal that of a chocolate eclair”. (credit to the great satirist, comedian, film maker extraordinaire, Mr. Woody Allen!)

This is red meat for the hijacked U.S. political ‘reality TV show’ disguised as ‘the 2016 U.S. Presidential election process’, brought to you by Monsanto, ExxonMobil and Koch Industries.  Our old pal Chris Christie, the fiery Republican Governor from the great state of New Jersey stated recently this of President Obama’s tactics in the Middle East, indeed, stating that he was, and I think I am quoting him correctly…

“…yeah, ‘dat Obama is living in Fancy Land!  ‘Cause the reality is that we need to, ah, send in more troops?  Or, I know, I used to do this when me and my buddies played “war” in the back woods near my house, yeah, we just keep bombing the hell out of them and then send, say 50,000 troops into Syria and I think that would ultimately, ah, solve the problem?  ‘Cause you know these terrorists are only in that one area and if we get all there, maybe in a sneak attack or something like that, yeah, we can go ahead win this ‘war on terror’, once and for all, you know, ‘Mission Accomplished’! But then again, if we ‘win’ the ‘war’, ah, will we be able to justify a 600 billion dollar military budget that dwarfs all other countries military budgets combined?  And if we kill all the bad guys, then, what about all those military industrial jobs?  If there is no war, there is no need for all of these bloody weapons is there? (Christie then ‘wakes up’, whacks his head with his hand, muttering…, then yelling twice to all of the stunned reporters, cameramen and producers working the press conference…), What about the economy stupid!  You know?   You should think, think McFly, think!  Is this thing on knucklehead?  Go back to journalism school a$$hole!  I am so sick and tired of you f’ing reporters asking your specific questions regarding what I, Chris Christie, would actually do if I were the United States President and I was in the position of facing this very real terror threat!  I mean what are the chances of that really happening? (laughter in the background), I mean how do we really intelligently fight a group of radicals playing by a different set of moral laws then the rest of US?  Hmmmm, I just don’t really know, if I were honest about the whole mess.  I have no effing clue what I would do, in fact, and don’t quote me on this one, but I think Obama is doing a great job!  A hell of a lot better than the clowns in charge of this country during those dark years a little after the beginning of this 21st Century.  Am I right or am I right?  I’m right, right?”

Have a nice week end everybody, especially all of those intrepid reporters on NBC; such as Casey Hunt, Rachel Maddow, Steve Kornacki, Chris Hayes, Lawrence O’Donnell, Alex Wagner, Ari Melber, Joe Scarborough and all the rest who do a darn good job of bringing clarity to an ever more foggy world…

Thank you.

Rose on Ocean Street

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 11:09 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the milky sun laden, windy, almost balmy island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Thursday, the 19th day of November, 2015, another magical start to the day down at ‘the docks’ on Pleasant Street, for the sun rise was one to behold here in this little hamlet of Hyannis, the hub of one of the greatest places on planet Earth.  And I highly recommend visiting her soon, for with the seas a risin’ who knows how long this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by ‘the Last Great Ice Age’ will be here, you know for those future generations to come…

But Global Warming is just a hoax, right?

And so it goes, everything back to “Level Red”, or ‘highest alert’, indeed, it’s “Back to the Future” if you will, back to good old 2001, when the world shivered in cold, raw fear, as the fog of war and terror rose in the ever gloomy skies that followed…, years of war, blood and sheds of tear.

“You be the judge Greg!”

Should we get mired down in another ‘ground war’ with an invisible enemy?  Or should we put OUR collective consciousness to work in changing hearts and minds from the inside out?

It is a tough call for any First Responder or Military Intelligence official to make.  The sad part of the whole mess is the question of why?  Why all the bloodshed?  Taking apart ISIL involves exposing it for what it is:

The polar opposite of LOVE.

“At the end of the day”, I am sure WE can ALL agree that the CANDLES that lit up the world after that massacre in Paris six days ago will conquer this cancer by exposing it to the greatest weapon of all…

Have a wonderful Thursday folks and if you want to cheer yourself up, check out and oldie but a goody, Paul Simon’s “You can call me Al” (brought to you by YouTube & VEVO), complete with the great Chevy Chase playing the trumpet.  It may just put a smile on your face.

A rose is just a rose…

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 11:34 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, beautiful, tranquil island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this fantastic November 17th day, a Tuesday to be sure, I think.  We are coming to you LIVE once again from the historic and must SEA Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s), and this humble reporter must report ‘where the heck is everybody?’  Don’t the wonderful people who visit these sacred shores in the summer know that all times of year–Winter, Spring, Summer or Fall–anytime, or any single day, know this is the place to be?  To be. To unplug and simply take in a good, long salty air breath, reflecting on a little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the “Last Great Ice Age” .

There is no place better.

Take the upcoming Christmas strolls for example, notably the one taking place on that fabled island of Nantucket in a few weeks time.  Hopping aboard the Steamship Authority or HyLine fleet of competent ferries, transporting one to another place in ‘time’, making one feel as if one is back in the days of ‘yore, when old Paul Revere left Boston for the boys in Lexington to warn those brave lads that “the English are coming”.

“Or was it them Americans?  Either way, he was ‘a lightin’ them lamps while galloping on his pony full throttle through them darkened Massachusetts countrysides, ringing them bells and all kinds of other stuff…” Or at least that is the way our friend former VP nominee Sarah Palin recalls it…

This is solemn day that follows the LIGHTS written all over this beautiful World during the past few crescent moon lit nights.  Vigils marking the fact that LIGHT always triumphs over darkness.  Darkness that scarred Paris on what should have been just another joyful evening in the City of Light.  On this day we here at Sea Cape Cod humbly offer yet another rose from a quaint country house on Ocean Street here in Hyannis. Thank you Gale!  It’s not so much the Rose that counts, but the essence within it.  Thanks to all who tend to that essence that guides and nurtures all souls.

  • Have a wonderful day folks!  May Paris and the rest of the world find that Rose’s Essence; for we all know that same Rose can bloom once again in a desolate, dirty, dangerous desert if it is allowed to…

A November Rose

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the once again delightfully sunny, cool, pleasant island of Nantucket! Very good to be with you on this Monday morning down here at the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s)–the 16th day of November, 2015–coming to you LIVE from the ‘dock’ as it were, as we watch the “Iyanough” fast ferry, via ‘the Steamship Authority’ steam it’s way to that fabled island 27 miles nautically south/southeast of this hub of the Cape.  A famous island once known for hunting whales, but now just tourists and wealthy real estate prospects, as 02554 is now considered the richest zip code in the United States of America…

Go figure?

Things do have a way of changing and even though it may look grim at the present moment in France (Sea Cape Cod sends it’s best Rose to you from the Kennedy Memorial below deck!), a better day is always on the horizon.

The horror that Paris faced down this past Friday is still in the minds of many around the world.  Many fearing that ‘it’, a random terrorist attack, could happen to them or their loved ones at any minute is a not only valid question and/or concern, but also is quite understandable in this ever faster paced planet we all inhabit, and it is precisely that fear stirring the great stew of emotion ushering in boots on the ground, ever and more and more mission creep, fueling an even more urgent need for even more security, and, like in the United States, a disappearing act of many if not most of OUR Civil Rights in this so called ‘free society’…

For in an age of encrypted messaging and a rising hatred of the ‘way things are’ presently in the human civilization we have built not so much for all, but moreover for the few, i.e. that growing GRAND CANYON gap between the haves and the growing number of have nots, we must be vigilant that it could and most likely will happen again.  And this fact cements that equally daunting fact that it will be a monumental task for intelligence agencies worldwide to stop this kind of vicious ‘acting out’.   The sad part of all this hatred and violence is that most of the victims have nothing to do with international policy creation–monetary, humanitarian, military or otherwise–hence the tragedy is amplified.  The softness of the targets, the social media slickness of these killers, the disenfranchised and under-educated youth that are lured in by the promise of ‘brotherhood’ and ‘glory’, all combine with the aforementioned points to fuel this evil terror group known as ISIL and hence where “it” wields it’s greatest power.

And that is where the real fight must begin, with hearts and minds of our young people; not bullets and brawn, but with love and kindness.

In another passage taken from Rhonda Byrne’s book, “The Power”, comes by way of an old proverb stated by an ancient Chinese philosopher.  Perhaps lending some credibility to this argument of inclusion rather than exclusion…

“When all the people in the world love one another, then the strong will not overpower the weak., the many will not oppress the few, the wealthy will not mock the poor, the honored will not disdain the humble, and the cunning will not deceive the simple.”

(circa 470-391 BC)

Have a great Monday and rest of the week folks!  Be safe, but have fun!

France WE stand with thee!”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 2:44 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sun and cloud, cool and calmer island of Nantucket! Good to be with you and yours on this Sunday, early afternoon at the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s), this 15th day of November, 2015.

Of course, the whole of the World knows by now most of the grizzly facts surrounding the horrible, senseless insanity by the terror group known as ISIL; multiple attacks all over that City of Lights, now dimmed by the haunting image of an Eiffel Tower darked as in the days of WWII.  The city shocked and rocked indeed by a cowardly, heinous act that killed over 129 people, injuring over 400–not to mention all those injured emotionally–in the busy streets of Paris the past Friday night.

There is little need to give any more press (or attention), to just a vicious and mindless example of what the worst of the human condition is capable of.  France now seeing more of that EVIL than ever.  And perhaps there should be more coverage of the recent Candle Light Vigil(s) going on about town where the victims fell– one thankfully shown on ABC recently–juxtaposed to all of that of the carnage on the streets…

It is all so easy, predictable and cliche to get the masses (via the corporate airwaves of nonsense and shiny objects), all revved up, red faced and hot headed; ‘fired up’ with all that false jingoism once again and ’send in more of them troops‘ (brought to you by what former US President Dwight D. Eisenhower warned US of, i.e, the “Military Industrial Complex”!  Making money the old fashioned way for centuries now, mostly by blowing stuff up!  Yep, that’s right folks, wars for profit and a course, ‘keeping America safe!), to ’solve the 1500 year old feud between ancient Sunni and Shiite religious/political problems we have no business solving in the first place; hello, McFly, is this thing on?’ Yeah, we could do that.  Or, perhaps there should be a coalition of many countries around the globe as this has become a world issue, but none so much as the nations that this ISIL threatens right within their own back yard.  Oh, and the fact the WORLD, like GLOBAL WARMING must ALL come to the same conclusion soon.  Come together as a species or perish.

Water, food and the severe drought in the region was the main culprit for the original civil war in Syria over 4 years ago.  Scarcity is a blunt term.  in other words, the epic battle between those who have and those who have not. When people cannot eat, moreover feed their own flesh and blood, what does one think will happen?

Mass Hysteria!

There is a solution.

“Love is real

Real is Love;

Love is feeling, feeling love…

Love is wanting…

wanting to be loved.

Love is touch

Touch is love.

Love is reaching, reaching love.

Love is asking; to be loved…

Love is you…, you and me;

Love is knowing we can be.

Love is free

Free is love.

Love is needing to be LOVED.”

“One fine day”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 10:04 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the Golden sun laden, cool, breezy, lo, darn near perfect island of Nantucket! It is great to be with you on this Fourteenth Day of November, 2015, another Saturday morning here at the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s); enjoying the same image one may SEA ‘above deck’ presently.  Indeed, this ‘picture’ is the very one this ‘humble’ reporter is admiring outside of his window at this very moment in ‘time’…

Hope you and yours are having a better week end than our friends in France, Paris in particular.  The vicious killing group known as ISIL is wreaking havoc once again in that fabled, historic, romantic city of LIGHTS.

127 people have already lost their lives in these most recent attacks over the course of the past few days, with a merciless, cowardice on display for all the world to witness, digest and come up with a way to combat ‘it’.

The ‘it’ being hate, violence and blind intolerance to all who oppose their rise to ‘religious’ power, a religion based upon no real ideology.  Certainly not one that has anything to do with the Koran or the Muslim Faith as a whole.  ISIL is a cancer that has spread to disenfranchised countries all over the globe, e.g. Syria, Libya, Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan and many other locales, and whatever the culprit is, i.e. brutal dictators like Syria’s head snake Assad, the threat, unlike the lie that led up to the folly of the Iraq war beginning in 2003, must be addressed by all nation’s leaders as well as her peoples.

Young, under-educated and unloved people are drawn to that which offers some kind of ‘brotherhood’, even if that means killing innocent women, men and children who don’t fit in with a 4th Century ’sharia’ law that is so far out of whack it would take a group of Wall Street derivative wiz kids to figure it all out and what it is their so called ‘demands’ really translate to ‘at the end of the day’…

May good Lord be with OUR friends in France today and tomorrow, and may this upcoming debate by the GOP here in the US political bonanza offer up some real solutions facing not only this country, but the now ‘global corporate village’ WE all live in now;  Fresh solutions, juxtaposed to those canned by Del Monte Fruit Company.

Just remember this, it is still “One Fine Day” (credit: a rare feel good film, circa 1996; starring Michelle Pfeiffer and George Clooney), out there in this big, blue, beautiful world–strive to be happy!

Have a grand weekend everybody and may the Force be with YOU!

Dare to dream of love…

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:05 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the absolutely gorgeously sunny, cool and calm island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this 9th day of November, 2015, a Monday I believe, and here’s hoping all is well wherever this message in a bottle may be reaching your preferred mode of communication these a days…

In a book entitled, “The Power”, written by Rhonda Byrne (also penned “The Secret”), lo, in said work of genius is a small statement that, perhaps, may wake up the this WORLD to what is longing for most…LOVE.

“…your thoughts are both the words you hear in your head and the words you speak out loud.  When you say to somebody, “What a beautiful day”, you had the thought first and then spoke the words.  Your thoughts also become your actions.  When you get out of bed in the morning, you had the thought of getting out of bed before you took action.  You can’t take any action with thinking thought first.  It’s your thoughts that determine whether your words and actions will be positive or negative.  But how do you know whether your thoughts are positive or negative?  Your thoughts are positive when they are thoughts are what you want and love!  And negative thoughts are thoughts of what you don’t want and don’t love.  It is that simple and that easy.  Whatever you want in your life, you want it because you love it.  Take a moment to think about it.  You don’t want things you don’t love, do you?  Every person only wants what they love; nobody wants what they don’t love.  When you think or talk about the things you want and love, such as, “I love those shoes, they’re beautiful,” your thoughts are positive, and those positive thoughts will come back to you as the things you love–beautiful shoes. When you think or talk about the things you don’t want and don’t love, such as “Look at the price of those shoes, that’s highway robbery,” your thoughts are negative, and those negative thoughts will come back to you as the things you don’t love–things that are too expensive for you.  Most people think and talk about what they don’t love more than they think and talk about what they love.  They give out more negativity than love, and in doing so they are inadvertently depriving themselves of all the good things in life.  It’s impossible to have a great life without love.  People who have great lives think and talk about what they love more than what they don’t love!  And people who are struggling think and talk about what they don’t love more than what they do love!”

“One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life.  That word is love.”

~Sophocles (496-406 BC)  Greek playwright

Have a great day!

“…hey kids”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:44 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the still warm, partly cloudy, quite remarkable island of Nantucket! It is always good to SEA you on a Saturday morning, cartoon time when this humble reporter was just a lad.   And on a November 7th day, with temps in the high sixties, one must take notice of the ‘genius’ of Wild E. Coyote and all of the ‘fun’ “ACME Corporation” has given to US ALL!

So have a great rest of your week end, and remember, that, “at the end of day”, LOVE rules the day…

In the immortal words of Sir Elton John, “…hey kids!”. Look it up if you don’t believe me…

To have give all

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:10 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the rainy, foggy and quite mild island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this soggy Friday morning, this Sixth Day of November, 2015, and here’s hoping all is well wherever this simple ‘message in a bottle’ my be reaching you and yours…

Perusing the ‘internet news’ on the old ROKU streaming device of late, this reporter stumbled once again upon a wonderful ’segment’ (or ‘clip!’), of a politician from the great state of New Jersey, namely 2016 presidential candidate Governor Chris Christie, a Republican, who may have shown US who he really is, a good guy after-all, and, moreover, possessing the required Leadership skills he may still offer this great land in need of such qualities ‘at this juncture’…

His ‘viral video’ shown on the great “TRMS” (weeknights at nine p.m. “sharp”; eastern, only on MSNBC!), this week, displayed his compassion for those afflicted with the dis-”EASE” of a very real disease plaguing this country, namely, ADDICTION.  And, more to the point, the epidemic of prescription drugs flooding the land.  Plus all of the other opiates, such as heroin, destroying so many young, innocent lives…

Addiction takes many forms.  Most “aware’ of the ‘demonized’ ones, i.e. alcoholism and drug dependency, but there are many others, just ask FOX ‘news’, they’ll tell ya! So when he called for a real drug addiction intervention/solution on a big scale, treating ‘it’ as the disease it really is, one must come to the same conclusion that this man may be what the GOP has been looking for all along.  For there is no doubt it took inner fortitude to make those comments on air at a public campaign stop, perhaps having the right stuff and what so many are striving to find in this 21st Century US political landscape–real leadership and the Courage to do the right thing.

His words, thankfully, were not missed on Sea Cape Cod, and will be duly noted.  Perhaps as well by this current 2016 GOP field and the donors therein…

In a book entitled, “The Other Voice”, one may find some clarity and answers to all of this current noise echoing across the canyons from sea to shining SEA!  A Monetary induced, capitalistically charged and overall self serving US political process filled to the brim with mostly talk past you nonsense WE all must, with great vigilance, endure at least every four years.  Well, at least those who have not been already politically disenfranchised from said process because of their race or social status in this great society… The process was, of course, intended as such.  However, one thing the Founding Father’s did not intend, was for so much of that ’special sauce’ in a democracy created with that little letter ‘d’ coming in the form of a rather odd assertion that “corporations being people too”, e.g. the pure folly of SCOTUS’ 2010 “Citizens United v. FEC”! Your betcha folks!  Corporations having all the benefits of being a real live human beings.

…without the liability of course

“…you have chosen, for now, a world of illusion.  And you have chosen it for the purpose of imagining what it might be like to be apart from God–which you cannot be.  The lessons of the Holy Spirit are the lessons which shall bring you back to the awareness That you are not apart from God, Or apart from anything that it is, And that you cannot be so.  And that awareness shall be your freedom and your joy.”

“Truly that is the opposite of the way the world thinks, And to find the truth of what you are, You must learn to give, And know that it is in giving that you shall truly receive.  Because the only gift you can give is to yourself.”

Good Luck Governor Christie, and thank you echoing the truism…

“But for the GRACE of God, go I”…

Have a great weekend everybody!

Message in a bottle 2.0

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:11 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the Golden Sun Laden, breezy, seasonable island of Nantucket! ‘Tis very, very good to be with you and yours on this most beautiful Wednesday, a remarkable Fall day here at the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s)–the 4th Day of November, 2015.  This humble reporter only ‘wishes you were here’! For one cannot, if one truly LOVES this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago the ‘the Last Great Ice Age’, yes, one cannot help but send out this simple ‘message in a bottle’ to get out and enjoy this beautiful world while it is still intact…  A  message of Hope and good tidings for all, especially for you, dear reader…

A reminder to come back soon and pay US a visit once again.  The Magic of this hamlet defies what this world has become; mostly a place where Love is in high demand, but harder yet to find.  When strolling about on a day such as this, taking a few ‘images’ along the way, the Gratitude for this thing WE all call ‘Life’ takes on a much deeper meaning, and a much, much more powerful reverence.

The ‘Reindeer Games’ continue on unabated during this tumultuous 2016 U.S. Presidential process.  A fired up GOP calling a foul when it came to the most recent debate, wherein the moderators–the good folks at CNBC (according to most of the cry babies on stage)–offered up more ‘gotcha’ questions than those holding substance, honesty, and VISIONARY determinants; ironically the very same qualities so glaringly missing in action within the behavior evidenced with so many bought and sold US politicians in this early part of the 21st Century.

That is the big problem with this wonderful country of OURS at ‘this juncture’. The lack of VISION, Grace and LOVE for one’s fellow man…

Have a wonderful day and hope to SEA you back here soon; same bat time, same bat channel!
