Provincetown; “discovered” circa 1602

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:22 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, very warm, humid island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Friday–the 31st day of July, 2015–another hot high noon–coming to you LIVE from the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s); ever hoping you and yours are safe and sound, keeping cool as it is…

It is a “Better Know Your District” (credit Stephen Colbert “The Late Show”), double header today, Sea Cape Cod bringing you this 7th installment of a 25 part series of ‘Better know your Cape Town or Island’! A pure rip off from the old “Colbert Report” where one of the funniest people on planet Earth poked fun at our politicians as well as himself on a daily basis.

Provincetown is the most popular destination for tourists visiting this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age, indeed, it’s history is rich and deep, beginning with Bartholomew Gosnold making landfall from the west on May 15th, 1602. The captain assuming it an island he named it “Shoal Hope”, but later that day, after catching “a great store of Cod Fish”, renamed it “Cape Cod”, the outermost tip of land on this long strip of sand.  Only after many moon rises did that name become synonymous with the entire region.  In 1620, the Pilgrims aboard the Mayflower sighted Cape Cod while en route to Virginia, but after two days of failed attempts to sail south against strong winter seas, they returned safely to the harbor, known today as Provincetown Harbor, and set anchor.  The “Mayflower Compact” created a self-governing community, though those same Pilgrims chose to settle across Cape Cod Bay in Plymouth.  Cape Cod enjoyed an early reputation for its valuable fishing grounds, and for its harbor.  A naturally deep, protected basin that was considered the best along the coast.  In 1654, the Governor of ‘the Plymouth County’, purchased this land from the Chief of the Nausetts, the indigenous tribe closely related to the Wampanoag, sharing the same Algonquin dialect of “Massachusett”.  The selling price being two brass kettles, six coats, 12 knives, 12 axes, and a ‘box’.

Following the American Revolution, Provincetown grew as a fishing and whaling center and by the 1890’s the town was booming, developing a resident population of writers and artists, as well as creating a summer destination for people now from all over the world.  In 1898 Charles Webster Hawthorne opened the Cape Cod School of Art; a growing connection between Greenwich Village (New York City), and this wild and untamed nautical community grew stronger, many intellectuals, writers and artists considering this place home.

Today, Provincetown is well known for the infinite beaches (Cape Cod National Seashore), the harbor, Commercial Street, always bubbling and bustling with many, many unique and quite non-corporate shops that titillate the soul, plus many other attractions.  It is also well known for its status as a vacation destination for the LGBT community.

The water surrounding this unique geographical area has the effect of moderating temperatures year round–the USDA ‘plant zone hardiness’ a 7A–as well as delaying the onset of seasons, thus Spring comes a little later and Winter comes a little later…

The Pilgrim Monument–designed by Willard T. Sears after the Torre del Mangia in Italy; built 1907-1910–was erected to commemorate that first landfall of the Pilgrims from Great Britain in 1620; escaping religious persecution by a tyrannical King, as well as the signing of that remarkable Mayflower Compact at the Provincetown Harbor.  Standing 252 feet in height, it is the tallest all-granite structure in the United States, and one cannot miss it when approaching Provincetown.  One can climb to the top and the view from that tower is one you will remember…

Some notable residents of Provincetown over the years are many, including Arctic explorer Donald B. MacMillan, Pulitzer Prize winning author Norman Mailer and Michael Cunningham. Pulitzer prize winner, author and poet Mary Oliver, playwrights Tennessee Williams and David Drake among many others, such as former United States Poet Laureate Stanely Kunitz. Film maker John Waters and Al Jaffee of Mad Magazine round out this very long list of distinguished and defined artists of their day living in this very unique and always alive town on the very tip of a sand bar, lest we forget, created by the retreat of glaciers some 11,500 years ago, ever reminding US that this life on planet earth is forever changing, adapting and moving forward.

Life bows to no man.

Nature always with the final word…

Have a nice week end!

Hyannis Port; est. 1664

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 10:26 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the once again sunny, less humid, breezy, still warm island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this muggy Thursday morning–the thirtieth day of July, 2015–hopefully having you take in the view above from this far away land via a fine sailing vessel, Hyannis Port’s favorite mode of transportation; or it was many many moons ago…

That right, it’s time for the sixth installment of ‘Better Know Your District’ (credit Stephen Colbert of “The Late Show”), I mean “Better know your Cape town or Island”!  What fun! Today we will take a look at Hyannis Port, a neighborhood of Hyannis, but worth a chapter none the less.  By the end of the 19th century, Hyannis Port was dotted with handsome second homes and was already the swankiest of summer resorts for wealthy families from throughout the northeast.  Many came from the Pittsburgh area, where steel had made millionaires.  Looking out on any given day in this ‘time’ period, one would witness much in the way of sail, such as the famous “Catboat”; whose broad, flat design were once the sailboat of choice for both recreational boaters and fisherman alike.  History is unsure when catboats first appeared, but by the mid-19th century, they were ubiquitous on the waters and shores of Cape Cod and elsewhere.  Their stability and versatility made them a favorite among fisherman, scallopers, and the clam diggers.  They were used as racing boats, and some of the fastest cats were built by Henry Lumbert of Hyannis Port.  Many were built by the Crosby family from Osterville as well.  Their popularity peaked in the late 19th century, but before fading, they were everywhere, even in Currier and Ives prints and in the pages of Cape Cod author Joseph Lincoln’s books.  By the mid-20th century, they were not visible on the landscape, but their classic looks have endured and they continued to have many admirers in the sailing community.  One memorable catboat was the Lillian. A huge and handsome vessel that was built in Hyannis in 1888 but spent most of its long life on Nantucket.

Of course, what makes Hyannis Port so popular and mystic, is, of course, the Kennedy Family. The Kennedy family began renting the former “Malcolm Cottage” at the end of Marchant Street in 1925 and then bought the place in 1928.  Joseph P. Kennedy, the patriarch of the family, and former U.S. Ambassador to the U.K., was married to Rose Kennedy and together they had many children– Joseph Jr., the oldest son who was killed in action during World War II c. 1944, Kathleen, Rosemary, Jean, Patricia, John, Robert, Eunice and of course, Edward (Teddy), the youngest.  Said Rose Kennedy one day in 1952 during her son John’s campaign for the U.S. Senate, at Barnstable Town Hall, “…Our family would rather be in Hyannis Port in the summer than any place else in the world.”

Sums it all up, does it not?

Have a wonderful Thursday everybody!

“Plastics; enough said…”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 2:04 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, very warm, humid island of Nantucket! Good to be with you on this hot Wednesday–high noon-the 29th day of July, 2015.  Sea Cape Cod would like to say just a few words, well, one really, “…plastics, enough said”. (credit the classic 1965 film, “The Graduate”, starring Dustin Hoffman and Anne Bancroft).

Living life on planet earth involves risk.  Some taking more than others by drinking, smoking, riding big waves or base jumping, all decisions made by the individual; hence the reward or consequence.

“But what of the risks that are hidden from US by corporations only concerned with the bottom line?  Corporations that force us to contaminate ourselves and our children with dangerous chemicals day in and day out?  Corporations that make US all participate in “The Human Experiment”… (credit quotes to said documentary; Sean Penn narrating after all).

FACT: Since 1975 Breast Cancer rates have gone up more than 30% in women and men… WHY?

Why are healthy women who take good care of themselves getting sick? Why are they getting cancer at such alarming rates?

FACT: 7.3 million American couples have trouble conceiving or carrying to term.  A 49% increase since 1988, with the biggest increase being among women 25 years old or younger, again, begging the question WHY?

FACT: In 1999, 1 in 500 kids had autism.  As 2012, that number is now 1 in 88.  Why?

FACT: Over the past 45 years, alarming increases have occurred in the following childhood diseases–childhood brain cancer: up 38%, asthma: up 80%, leukemia in children: up 74%, early onset puberty: up 55%, ADHD: up 53%, genital deformities in baby boys: up 122%.  WHY?

“All of these diseases have been on the rise since the dawn of the modern chemical revolution.  Over the last 400 years, thousands of chemicals have been introduced into our society.  80,000 chemicals are currently on the market in the United States, they’re in everything from curtains, to upholstery, to furniture; the makeup or the shaving cream you used this morning… Electronics, cleaners, the very materials used to build your home.  42 billion pounds of chemicals enter American commerce everyday, or the equivalent of  623,000 tanker trucks full!”

“Over the past half century, chemical use has gone up over 2000%.  Chemicals surround us, they are inside of us.  Most of these chemicals are not tested for their safety because the chemical industry in America does not have to prove a chemical is safe before they put it on the market.  Like an American defendant in a courtroom, the chemical is innocent until proven guilty.”

“…the biggest concern I have is our astounding ignorance about the effects of most of the chemicals that are in commerce.  We don’t even know what’s in our furniture, our body washes, shampoos, makeup, lotions…” (Dr. Megan Schwarzman, physician and research scientist, University of California School of Public Health).

We are doing something profound to our physiology, especially when you take the magnitude of the millions upon millions of people around the world that are going to be directly affected by these chemicals.  The Environmental “protection” Agency, or EPA, is in ‘charge’ of ‘regulating’ the chemical industry, quite laughable really if one were to comprehend the power of the chemical lobby in Washington D.C., indeed, this ‘fearless’ regulating arm is charged with enforcing an unenforceable toothless 1976 “Toxic Substance Control Act”, passed into ‘law’ in that same year.  64,000 chemicals already in existence and then and in use, thus deemed as ’safe’ because they were, as stated, ‘in existence and in use already’, therefore, grandfathered and untouchable, as many public health and environmental groups have discovered.  Because of this outdated and insane law, the EPA really has no teeth to speak of, not being able to get past the original hurdle of the grandfathering of these chemicals, like asbestos, let alone the mighty power of the American Chemical Association, who spends millions every year lobbying ‘law’ makers in D.C…

This trade association of a 720 billion dollar a year industry represents the big players, such as Dow, DuPont, Koch Industries, ExxonMobil, Shell, BASF, and over a hundred others, with it’s lobbying arm in Washington D.C. spending over 65 plus million annually to LIE to a U.S. Congress that is clearly not ‘for the people’ in the slightest, rather for corporate interests 100 percent of the time. Yet another striking example of profit over people. Tragically, those same in the dark Americans getting sicker by the day!

Health advocates are struggling against a formidable opponent indeed.  With the “four dog defense” always working for the chemical industry and many others in full throttle.  Telling the public, number one, “…my dog doesn’t bite”: translation? a corporation stating it’s products are not harmful.  Mostly by discrediting studies that prove otherwise.  But when the evidence that it is harmful becomes to powerful, via public outcry, corporations evoke the second dog, stating, “…my dog bites, but he didn’t bite you.” At this time industry concedes it’s products are harmful, but no worries, the products that are harmful are not used by the vast majority of the citizenry, thus should cause no great concern.  “My dog bit you, but he didn’t hurt you.” In this third defense used by corporate law firms, industry says it has exposed chemicals to public, but they have not hurt you, thus placing the burden of proof once again on the American victim. Fourth dog defense, “…my dog bit you and hurt you, but it was not our fault.”  In this classic cowardly move, industry admits fault, but states that ‘they’ did not make you smoke those Camels, and that it, the corporation, cannot be held responsible, and with an army of high priced corporate law firms as the real defense, well, you would have better luck in Russia my friend.

Patricia Hunt, a scientist at Washington State University was doing research on mice in the 1990’s and discovered that the females were aborting their young at alarming rates.  Upon further study, she concluded that Bispenol a, or BPA, was somehow getting into the system of the mice.  Was coming from the plastic bottles the mice drank from?  BPA is one of the highest volume chemicals produced in the world today, with it’s beginnings back in the 50’s, the chemical originally used as a miscarriage preveter.  Eventually plastics research scientists discovered the magical properties of BPA on plastic products, as it’s coating is extremely clear, allowing one to look right through it, plus the fact it was shatter proof.  Soon, just about everything was being made with the chemical...everything.

In the1990’s, mothers around the country were up in arms about possible problems with baby bottles–plastic–but thanks to industry scum like CEO of the ACC, “Mr. Dooly”, the poison is still on the market today.  BIG TIME!  Even though many other nations around the globe have banned this toxic chemical from being exposed to their general public.

“It is troubling to see so many issues that you’d think we should learn from go mostly ignored by our elected leaders.  You go through classic examples of real mistakes–asbestos, tobacco, lead, bottled chloride–where we allowed these industries to get away with murder.”

Dr. David Rosner,  Center for the History & Ethics of Public Health, Columbia University

“When you look at the organized campaigns these industries are putting out there, they are basically just using the old Tobacco Industry playbook”.

Introduction of doubt began in the 1950’s and has not stopped since. One can see that at work everyday in the United States, employing the weapons proven to work time and time again; such as  deception and distraction employed by PR firms like Hill and Knowlton with great success.  Depending on one’s viewpoint of course…

This began the great conspiracy of industry hell bent on profit over the health and well being of it’s own customer base.  Seeing them as marks on a ledger rather than living breathing human beings.  This all designed to keep the American public confused~forever in the dark. For the horrible tobacco industry, it was “like the genome that spread death throughout the world.”

“I thought you said your dog didn’t bite?”

“That’s not my dog”

(credit the late, great Peter Sellers, from the classic 1975 film, “The Return of the Pink Panther”).

Have a nice day!

Chowda!

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:52 pm

Greetings and the salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the once again sunny, humid, breezy, beautiful island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours once again on this 28th day of July, 2015.  A Tuesday–high noon–and as you ponder the image above, one may correctly infer there will be no shortage of clam chowder on the little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age.  “Chowda” ( the Cape accent, along with the Boston accent, forgoing the use of the letter ‘r’…), was not readily available back then, indeed, a few years back this harbor was a frozen tundra, an age where the entire region was nothing more than a ‘permanent’ blanket of snow and ice…

How ‘times’ have changed, eh? Many of those who live in the United States of America are unfortunately under the spell of Rupert, ‘arrrgghh matey!’, Murdoch’s FOX ‘news’. Indeed, brainwashed daily as to the shaping of their lives–via the shameful puppet politicians towing the line for their plutocratic overlords–to the poisonous products they consume day in and day out, along with every member of their family…, (more on tomorrow’s ‘blog’ here at Sea Cape Cod! Don’t miss it, as it will be narrated by Sean Penn, well, not really, as he is busy this week, but there will be some interesting points concerning our “friends” at the American Chemical Council; stay tuned!), both equally dangerous and possibly both lethal.

But, on a day like today, who cares?  So come on down and pay us a visit!  Take a refreshing swim or dip into the 74 degree Nantucket Sound!  Take a bike ride, ride a horse, or simply take a nap under big billowy clouds above, reading a good novel and unplugging one’s bloody ’smart’ phone for a half a second or so, hopefully enjoying said nap in one of Paul Ryan’s (R–WI), famous “hammocks” that the poor around this grand nation are forbidden from using, as they get enough of that kind of special treatment in the form of all those ‘generous’ food stamps and other goodies the government provides ($240 per month to feed a family of three, and only if they make just under the poverty line wage of $7.25 an hour!); luxury in them hammocks they be lyin’ around on.  But, if you could spare just a little, they would certainly appreciate the gesture, kind, kind sir… For if you were to spend just one day in their shoes, felt their pain, anxiety and stress level, you would come to comprehend that they need a vacation much, much more than you do sir!

“A vacation from my problems, you bet I will!”

“Cotuit”; “purchased” 1648 A.D.

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 10:40 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cloudy, muggy, warm island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this 27th day of July, 2015; a good Monday morning to you and yours!  It is time for yet another installment in the 25 part series, ‘Better Know Your District!”, (credit “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert), I mean, ‘better know your Cape town or Island’! Today’s fifth installment is one of the seven towns of Barnstable, “Cotuit”; ‘where the ocean meets the wood’…

This town in between Hyannis to the East and Falmouth to the West, on the south side of the town of Barnstable–a heavily wooded area with 12 miles of coast line–is home to the Cape Cod Baseball League’s “Cotuit Kettler’s”; a strong baseball team within this fantastic AAA baseball league that sees plenty of it’s team members go on to the major leagues, just one of the many great past times here on Cape Cod. All games ’round the horn all free and occurring all the time!  Just an idea for those nights with the kids and you have become numb to the concept of any more miniature golf… The five square mile town is actually surrounded by water, thus located on a peninsula, and is primarily a residential municipality whose population–like Osterville and Nantucket–balloons in summer months, featuring four popular beaches “Ropes”, “Riley’s”, “Loop”, and “Oregon”.

Not heavy on commercialism, the village general store is the only place of real business, that and “the Kettle Hoe”; the only bar/restaurant in this quaint, out of the way village that was once part of a major land purchase back in 1648 by Plymouth’s Myles Standish. Myles “negotiated” a deal with the Wampanoag’s headman of the Cotachesett– allegedly located on or near the island known today as “Oyster Harbors”, or Grand Island–Paupmunnuck. A ‘deal’ that included: “one brass kettle, seven spans of wideness round about and one broad hoe” in exchange for twenty square miles of land in what is now the south western section of Barnstable.  Property values that would take more than this reporter’s current pay grade to calculate in today’s ‘bull’ market and all!

The name “Cotuit’ was actually derived from those wise Wampanoag peoples, translating into “A place of council”. The oldest standing house in Cotuit was built by Josiah Sampson in 1793, with much of the architecture in the town of that Federal-style New England motif.  It is rumored that the late, great Teddy Kennedy–the “Last Lion of the Senate”–and sorely missed Massachusetts Democratic Senator for what seemed an eternity, once enjoyed a few ‘pints’ at the now gone “Harbor View Hotel” and subsequent tavern, as the town settled in for what some consider to be one of the sleepiest places on this little sand bar created 11.500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age. But, make no mistake about it, the town of Cotuit is full of life and passion, with the “Cotuit Center for the Arts” alive and well every summer, as well as the famous  July 4th parade.  Along with the many other Arts festivals going on all summer, a vibrant library and much, much more, one can get not only a whole lot of rest, but also take in the finer things of life!  Perhaps just walking the many quiet country roads in any season, truly bringing one back to the days of ‘yore, when this country of OURS was just a twinkling in some rebels eye…

Have a great week ahead folks!

“EIS”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 2:14 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cloudy, cool, soon to be quite rainy island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this twenty-sixth day of July, 2015, a Sunday afternoon around 1:30 or so.  Sort of a lazy, quiet almost chilly one out on the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s)… Perhaps a good day to reflect on just how beautiful this world really still is…

Having been weened off the corporate owned media airwaves for the most part, this reporter, again fortunately, stumbled upon a must SEA documentary entitled, “Chasing Ice”, the best film to date on this coming cataclysm, man made, code named, “Global Warming”…  It is the story of James Balog and crew, of Colorado, who spent the better part of a decade studying GLOBAL WARMING, specifically the retreating ICE in Greenland, Iceland, Montana and Alaska.  He set up cameras all around massive glaciers in these extremely remote locals, naming the project “EIS”, or ‘extreme ice survey’, in the hopes of documenting the rapid retreat of these, again, massive, ancient and quiet literally alive (and dying), natural wonders that act as the Earth’s air conditioner and great balance beam between extreme temperature swings, thus giving LIFE on this planet meaning beyond just the word.

If you are aware of any person out there that is still ignorant about the fact that this coming cataclysm (completely due to the folly of man; make no mistake about it!), please ‘rent’ this video!  For as man continues his evil, greedy ways of profit, plunder, and power, the earth’s ice is melting at alarming speeds.  This phenomenon of GLOBAL WARMING is wiping out species after species on our home planet–one of the biggest tragedies of mankind’s insanity–while the world’s elite are preparing dooms day.  Indeed, this “new world order” must know something?  Are the end of days upon US? Is that why there is no concern over what kind of world we are leaving our own flesh and blood?

Do you have a soul sir?

“Not gonna worry bout those poor people in the streets, not gonna do it!  Let ‘em burn!” (credit: take your pick of any number of the blind, Nazi like Ayn Rand faithful in the puppet GOP brigade in Washington D.C.). One has to question, what’s up with tunnel after tunnel, underground shelter after shelter being built from coast to coast?  Why the giant one under Denver International Airport?  Is it another one of the many secret bomb shelters that has been revealed now for all of American ‘citizenry’ to see?  All queries leading one one central issue: ‘what is the shadow government not telling it’s citizenry?’  Why is the ‘atomic clock’ set at five of midnight?  What the heck is an ‘atomic clock’ anyhow?  And where the hell is Waldo anyway?

To witness these mighty glaciers–that took eons to create–crumble into nothing breaks one’s heart. If you have one to break that is.  Indeed, to see them tumble into the ocean like a rag doll, icebergs the size of Manhattan, towering ice thrice the height of the new “Freedom Tower”, yes, to experience it electronically over a monitor takes breathe away. Imagine being there to witness it personally, knowing that piece of planet earth is gone forever…  For it will not be long before all of that ice melts and is in your living room, quite literally, coming in so many forms.  Water having three of course.    “Extreme Ice Survey” indeed!

The storms will only get stronger, the seas will only get higher, the droughts will only get deeper, the wild fires will only get hotter, and–this just in from our Cape FOX “news” affiliate–”…Leon is getting larger!” (credit the classic film, “Airplane”, circa 1980; starring many, many greats, none so much as the late, great Lloyd Bridges, who also famously said, “…looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue”.

Have a “Holier than thou”–just kidding–Sunday folks!

Top of the Mornin’!

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:33 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, gorgeous, perfect island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this amazing Cape morning here at the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s)–this 25th day of July, 2015–just returning from one of the many outdoor activities awaiting one if one were to venture to these historic shores, bringing one back in ‘time’ to a day when our so called leaders actually cared about principals over personalities and the almighty dollar:  biking.

One becomes one with the one, if you will…

I assume reporting the ‘news’ these days must be up there with the professions of dentistry and/or dog catching.  All three seem very, very depressing.  Take the coverage of my pal Donald, “please don’t quote me on that toots”, Trump;  the circus act never bringing much in the way of Joy, often lacking in moral, intellectual or spiritual substance, let alone humor.  Yes, the fantastical and magical mystery tour coverage coming from “down at the border’ recently.  Apparently, it was a dangerous and desperate place for ‘the Donald’ to fly his personal Boeing 767 into, much like going into Deng Yang ‘back in the day’ I should think…

Indeed, top marks for bravery.  Personally flying that bird into territory that must have evoked wicked PTSD flashbacks…  No?   Were there F-16 escorts?  If not, there darn well should have been!  Donald Trump is a national treasure and I pray to all of the “God’s” out there, that he run, especially as a third party candidate.  For there will be a SEA of BLUE come November 2016.  Please God, we are in need of some Love down here on the mean streets of this equally mean spirited, ‘free market’ gone wild country of ours.  A truly cold, greedy, rigged monetary-market system that may just  bankrupt “the whole ‘dang country.”

A little help: PLEASE?

Anyway, the point of this inane blog lies in this question: just how many reporters do you need to get all of that information in a staged news conference somewhere on some random and desolate border town in Texas?, I think?  A news conference to discuss what exactly?  A fair question considering the fact that not even the U.S. Border Patrol bothered showing up for, you know, the people who invited him in the first place to presumably endorse the man and take Trump for a spin around deserted places where a fence should have been erected?  50?  100?  And just how good an actor does one have to be to look at least somewhat interested in this mind numbing ‘news’ conference?  I’d give an Oscar to NBC News’ intrepid reporter Casey Hunt, who–no matter the subject or despicable politician being discussed or interviewed–always looks positively radiant, happy and fulfilled.  It is uncanny and just, well, in a word, amazing…

Enjoy your Saturday everybody.

Divine Order

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 9:56 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, very comfortable, gentle, zephyr filled island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Friday morning–the 24th day of July, 2015–looking at another glorious one out on the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s), expecting 72 degrees Fahrenheit, golden sun shine, calm seas, a light northwesterly breeze keeping everybody nice and cool… Especially all the folks on the rotaries; please yield for bikes and pedestrians passing on through just like you Nantucket Rolls Royce drivers, watch out!

“Hey, like all yous, I am very surprised I am on top of all these frigging polls out there, eh, oh!  But what are yous’ gonna do eh?  The people have spoken, and they like what they see, I am in a double digit lead right now with 24 percent of the ‘vote’, I am on top of the world Savannah, top of the world!  They know a good thing when they see it, am I right or am I right?  This is what the American people are all about and it is what I am deep down inside…  What, do I have to spell it out for yous’?  What I am all about is simple:  I am all about MONEY! ‘Course the American people don’t really know how the system works, but what they don’t know won’t hurt ‘em none! I am I right or am I right?  I mean, it’s money ‘dat makes this rock spin round and round, around the sun I think, and ‘dat’s what I intend to do when I am president of these here United States of America!  ‘Dat’s right, I am gonna send these insiders packing, for they know not the power of the Donald’s rage, the wrath of the Donald ‘dat is, when it comes to those brown skinned people who keep trying to break in to my country club, what’s that?  They work there and most of them do so illegally?  To save the Donald money?  That is very good thinking, what’s your name?  You are going places my friend, tell Frank the so called “Campaign Manager” he’s fired! I need a guy like you running this circus, you and me together, fouget about it…”

“…But, I will tell the American people this, the likes of a Scott Walker (corporate owned GOP candidate for 2016 U.S. President/head puppet for the Koch Brothers and their plans for world domination), or a Jeb Bush (blood line/legacy candidate, or a member of the “establishment” aristocracy of the “New World Order”, the “It’s his turn” candidate), or any number of other wanna be executives like myself can just go ‘f’ themselves!  Twice!!  For there will never be another man like me–Donald Trump–and that makes sense. ‘Cause it is not only written in the stars above, it is Divine Order. Clearly I am what this country needs right now, a real live poster boy for everything that is wrong with this nation.  That way, if yous elects me to ‘dat highest of offices–oh God, please let this happen, fingers crossed!!–you won’t have to point the finger no more at the fact WE (the plutocrats, or the world’s .001 percent if you will), have stolen your precious democracy forever–by way of our “fractional banking system”, and many other “government” policies that favor those at the very, very top of the food chain–not to mention the equally disturbing FACT that you will be enslaved forever by the many, many “important” corporations that are deemed “too big to fail”, as their ‘products’ and services will be the only product you will ever need.  Yous’ all will continue to witness and eat the nauseating corporate welfare–e.g. Monsanto Corporation’s corn and soy GMO “Roundup Ready poisonous horse$hit–paid out in the billions every year, with no money left over for the starving “American people”.”

“YOUS’!”

“Please add that to the fact this monstrous Globalization–or what it truly is, a vicious Corporatocracy–will be coming to a neighborhood near yous soon!  Enslaving, I mean, binding, I mean bonding you folks even tighter to the tether of the corporate will. A will that controls all of the money, hence, all of the labor, and with unions falling by the wayside–powerful voices falling by the wayside, no longer able to negotiate fair wages and benefits–you better get used to this economic slavery getting even worse. For if we are paying our “associates” at the Saigon Walmart more than their “traditional” minimum wage of 17 cents an hour, why should we pay somebody living in Iowa any more than ‘dat?  Is that the American way?  To take advantage of management here in this country while some poor Vietnam fellow employee gets the shaft of knowing you are making a whopping 7.25 and hour?  I don’t think so my friend, why would you do something like ‘dat to a poor immigrant whom yous’ have never met?  Where are your manners?  You have to use your brains people?  Do I have to do your thinking for you too?  Peace out America and have a great week end ahead, remembering that you can now just sit back and relax.  The election is not for another 17 or so months, plenty of time to catch up on all those not yet viewed episodes of “the Apprentice” sometimes on NBC, sometimes not, depends on your zip code if you know what I mean.”

(exerts taken from a recent PBS interview with Sir Donald Trump at the Pierre, New York).

Have a great week end everybody!

No “Paine”, no gain.

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 10:14 am

Greetings and salutation from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the golden sunshine laden, breezy, refreshingly beautiful island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this perfect summer day, coming at you LIVE from the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s)–Wednesday, the 22nd day of July, 2015–and if you were lucky enough to pick this as your week to visit this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the “Last Great Ice Age”, well then, you are enjoying your breakfast of champions in the comfort of some of the best weather yet this season!  With that quintessential Cape summer sun stretching far and wide into the week end, so why not come on down and visit US? We will, as always, leave that LIGHT on for ya!

This country is in big trouble, what with the banks owning it and all, keeping the masses in a form of economic slavery via the that wacky old monetary market system. A system, lest we forget, that marks it’s “progress” in the most corrupting and cruel terms of all–profit.

Profit over people.

This world domination by a shadow U.S. government (i.e., ‘the New World Order’, ‘the Corporatocracy’, leading to it’s crippling misnomer ‘globalization’ is common knowledge to those in the Know. But for the millions of Americans, and billions of world citizens who are in the dark about this fact, let me fill you in on a little secret–it’s here.

This nation was founded on the belief that we should not be taxed by a tyrannical, corrupt monarchy 3000 miles away across a mighty ocean. No sir! It’s colonists have the right to have their own currency, along with Divine rights to Life, Love and that “Pursuit of Happiness” Thomas Jefferson spoke so brilliantly about when he penned the “Declaration of Independence”, July 4th 1776; eventually gaining said independence seven years later from Great Britain and then electing a “president”, along with a “congress” and a “judiciary” to bring some common sense and reason to the land.  A land that one day might experience peace and harmony not only with all nations, but moreover with the physical environment therein…

“The mind, once enlightened cannot become dark again.”

-Thomas Paine- ‘The American Crisis’

This great man–who was most assuredly one of this country’s ‘Founding Fathers’–also said, “…I love the man who can smile at trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection.  ‘Tis the business of little minds to shrink; but he whose heart is firm, and whose conscience approves his conduct, will pursue his principals unto death.”

For who can argue with (in this day and ago of “globalization”) the notion of, and I again quote Thomas Paine, “…independence is my happiness, the world is my country and my religion is to do good.” ?  For how can we truly be free when only a few at the top of this ponzi scheme, this house of cards are making out like the bandits they truly are?  Paine also said over two hundred and twenty years or so ago, “…A body of men holding themselves accountable to nobody ought not be trusted by anybody.  We have the power to begin the world over again.  If there be must be trouble, let it be in my day, that my child may have peace.”

Is this not the struggle we have seen on the streets of Ferguson, Missouri?  Or in the case of Eric Garner in New York City?  Or in any food pantry in the ‘good ‘ole US of A’?

“I put it to you Greg, is this not an indictment of the entire monetary market system itself?  Well, you can do what you want with us, but we are not going to just sit here and let you bad mouth (plus bankrupt it, and the environment, for your bloody profits!), the United States of America, gentlemen!” (poetic license taken via the words of “Otter” from the classic 1978 cult classic film “Animal House”; starring the late, great John Belushi, written by the late, great Harold Ramis).

All ideas are emergent, not blindly “established” via the countless and powerful “institutions” now “too big to fail”.  Lo, so too is our relationship to this Cosmos and Earth being one of a symbiotic nature.  We are children of this universe, not masters of it.

Have a great day everybody!

Spun 2.0

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:42 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, very warm and humid island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Monday morning–the 20th day of July, 2015–a bit on the sticky side for those who are mildly affected by a rise in the humidity levels.  This reporter is fortunate–just returning from a ten mile bike, then jumping into Nantucket Sound, and riding some more–humidity is a meteorological condition wherein one sweats more of that poison of one’s system, a journey highly recommended at least once a year.  Especially for my friends on the front lines of the corporate owned television airwaves, good people who must get awfully tired of not saying what is truly on their minds…

Barnstable County Fair opens tonight here on Cape, an honest to goodness country fair that brings all the fixen’s! If you are anything like this reporter, country fairs are right up your ally.  Sure, deep fried “Starbursts” are probably not good for you ‘at the end of the day’, but who cares right?  If the GMO’s don’t  get you, the fat, sugar and salt will!  So why not just throw in the towel one day out of the year and have at it!  Eat as if this is your last day on earth.  For after all, in reality, that is all we really have anyway.  This present moment.  You, the reader, and I, the “writer”.  So, you still have time to book that ticket to Hyannis! Jet Blue even flies here now from New York, so come on down and pay US a visit on this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by that Last Great Ice Age, creating an amazing landscape that would take many lifetimes to explore.

“Those who wander are not always lost”

Of course, “contempt prior to investigation” (anything that involves reason and logic), is this 21st Century GOP’s modus operandi.  Indeed, those aforementioned virtues far too ‘complex’ and foreign for those obstinate children of this current U.S. Congress to comprehend.   As the world embraces the recent historic nuclear (weapons), agreement between the U.S. and Iran–with the blessings of the U.N.–it would seem the path to a sustainable peace in the turbulent Middle East may be in sight.  At least one without a nuclear proliferation, resulting in who knows what in the mid-to-long term future of not only the region, but the planet, yes, it would seem to the naked eyed observer we are most assuredly on said path.  But, alas, they, you and that wide eyed lad would be wrong.

Republicans in the U.S. Congress (mainly in the House of Representatives), have made it clear they will not play ball with our outstanding 44th U.S. President, Mr. Barack Obama. Work with him on anything of value, so why would this diplomatic solution to averting a possible World War III be any different?  An agreement that far outweighs anything the clowns on the right have proposed, unless you consider covert CIA operatives going in to a sovereign nation again; “our” ever itchy, industrial complex trigger finger at the ready, the GOP’s real plan when all is boiled down to it’s radioactive core…  Indeed, defense contractors like Northrop Grumman and Halliburton salivating at the mouth every time FOX ‘news’ utters the word on set: IRAN!

The spin that FOX has spun over the years boggles the mind.  However, never forget we all have the power to turn that nonsense off!   Deep six hate radio too; ‘men’ like Rush Limbaugh and the rest!  Instead of all that noise, fear, hate, terror, and constant conflict–a real ego fest–consider putting on a deep meditation with “Deepak Chopra”.  Sea Cape Cod highly recommends all of the “21 day challenges” with Oprah. These meditations bring one a great sense of peace and serenity sorely lacking in this 24/7 world.  They also act as a simplifying agent: getting down to what is truly real, i.e. YOU! Just say a simple prayer for this world while you are at it, ask for a miracle. The miracle of this human race actually waking up and taking it’s collective power back from those who are destroying OUR only home via this evil, incessant and insane GREED!

Have a good week ahead folks!

“Rally for Reason?” Think McFly, think! Hello?

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:06 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cloudy, windy, soon to be quite rainy island of Nantucket! ‘Tis quite good to be with you on this Saturday morn–the 18th day of July, 2015–a rather gray day out on the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s)–as advertised and seen above–looking straight ahead at the old “South Hyannis Light”, commissioned many, many moons ago. This being the week end, and I being a reporter who is, quite literally, one of the laziest on planet earth, you can go ahead and look up when that was for yourself!

But please do not look up the word reason in the “dictionary”, for you will most certainly not find it in that ancient “book” that has become quite useless in this day and age of “observation” and “experimentation”, none so glaring as the corporate takeover, a hostile takeover at that, of this great country we all love so.

Reason and Logic have made an exit from the scene, stage left, and thus, left a gaping hole in it’s collective wake. Built in this insanity of ever growing profit over people is a wide and ominous GRAND CANYON that separates the “good” (haves), from the “bad” (the have nots/the undesirables), all executed under the blanket and unquestionable “Will of God”, or some such nonsense.  Ever using religion to trump said reason, wielding that trusty and ever mighty weapon of choice: FEAR.

We must ‘repent’ for our ’sins’ before the man made ‘end of times’!  By gosh, by golly!  Accomplished of course, by keeping ever keeping the poor down and out, concentrated, marginalized, ostracized, stigmatize, criminalized, starving, hungry, and above all, HOPELESS!  All while not lifting a finger to help the sick, who are dying in record numbers now…  The great ‘leaders’ of the religious monarchies of the world speak of “life after death”, but forget about “life before death”.  What kind of God would give me pain?  A man made God that’s who, now shut up and eat your gruel! We witness the powerful sway of the Roman built Christ as the opiate indeed for the masses, along with some pharmaceutic-ally made stuff as well, creating the control used for centuries by those in the new Rome, handing down ‘punishments’ like so much candy.   Doing nothing for the common good, for the common majority, as they systematically destroy this species (and many, many, many others), only HOME! (memorandum: for their own bloody profit!)

“…yeah, did you get that memo?“  (credit the classic film, “Office Space”, circa 1999)

Science shows us that we need not ‘think’ this way any longer.  Only a tiny mantra of data that does not exist can convince someone of anything; if it is said in the right way, at the right time and in the right place.  The masses will follow, even unto death, predictably time and time again, within the confines of these pointless, brutal and horrifying demonstrations of human insanity. These infinite wars against our “enemies” rage on unabated, in fact mostly cheered on by a deluded and misinformed public, thereby allowing the powerful war machine to manipulate this to their advantage monetarily and morally, creating another monarchy at ‘the end of the day’…

After all, is that not what this is all about?  What did you think we were doing here?  Did you think this was all fun and games?

We, as a collective, intelligent, compassionate (for the most part), loving and social species, WANT to survive, lo, thrive.  We crave peace, joy and that LOVE. Every cell in our bodies screams this FACT from on high, proving that we are much more powerful than WE ‘think’ we are, or rather what we have been conditioned to ‘think’…

This is the most exciting time to be living as a human being on planet earth.  Do not listen to the “man behind the curtain”!  No mas! no longer! For the “Love of God”!  This man (Google any lobbying firm in Washington D.C. working for said ‘man’), be utilizing smoke and mirrors, loud thunder and lightening!  All illusions designed not to enlighten, rather instill FEAR! Fear and love cannot coexist.  For one is the truth and the only ‘thing’ that is real in this world, the other is nothing.  Lo, turn away from the madness and embrace sweet reason. Knowing full well that what you have been told as an individual in your own life’s history is at best a partial historical fact, at worst, a bold faced LIE.

Go out and smell the roses!

“Ease his pain”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 2:48 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, once again beautiful, seasonable island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this 17th day of July, 2015, now finally on that on-ramp to the week end–Friday! Wherever this ‘message in a bottle’ may be reaching you, I pray you are safe and happy, hopefully booking a flight soon to this wonderful little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age! As this human race slowly moves from the ‘age’ of Aries, into the ‘age’ of Aquarius–already witnessing radical shifts sweeping the globe–may your transition be a smooth one, remembering the truth is out there, usually right under one’s nose.

“Exposure therapy Bob, it’s a guaranteed cure!”

No one is being exposed more these days than this gallant ‘not your grand father’s GOP’, who must now come up with some reason based, logical ’selling points’ to them “American people” (an impossible task, based on the FACT the shadow government–big banks, multinational corporations, prominent secret societies, you know, the “New World Order” are the non-elected and thus answerable to no one, keeping in mind that these few ‘men behind the curtain’ are truly calling the shots presently; those pulling the strings…). Indeed, they must be right quick, because old Donald, “you’re fired!”, Trump (GOP candidate to become the 45th President of the United States of America), is stealing what little feeble thunder these boys are coming up with as of late…

Heck, even NBC News (if one streams the corporate platform), has dedicated an entire ‘block’ to the creator of many good things on this planet, such as the epic television entertainment of “The Apprentice”! Mr. Donald Trump, by the way, have you heard, is worth over 10 billion dollars!

“Hey, I’m talkin’ to you toots, it could be more, but that’s a lot of money is it not?  What are you looking at?”

Indeed, if one wishes to waste more of his/her life watching the illusion of television, you are in luck.  For this fabulous package is chalk full of Trump interviews, speeches, and various intellectually stimulating segments that delve into the very fabric of our known universe, concepts like “time and space”. Just like TV, they too are an illusion.

Which is perfect for the busy journalist who does not have time to sift through the normal 5000 plus TV channels that force one to not only watch every minute of the ‘coverage’, but moreover, listen to the dreadful Madison Avenue hypnotic onslaught of commercials that never, ever, ever end.  Endless sales pitches, designed to sell things to easily manipulated Americans (99 percent of which is made in China), that, for the most part, they do not need. Or want.  They are cajoled into that want thought through a very impressive arsenal of powerful psychological tools, all brought to you Monsanto, DuPont and Exxon-Mobil!

Most Ads one suffers through daily, however, revolve around the American addiction to relieve the pain they feel, none so much than the moment they are adsorbing all of that horse$hit!  An unpleasant experience that leaves one in need of a shower five minutes after settling in for the night, “relaxing” in one’s favorite “Stress-less” chair in one’s peaceful living room.

What can you do?  Someday, sanity will make a comeback in this great nation.  There are just too many good people out there!

Have a great week end!

Osterville, Massachusetts 02655

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 3:02 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the absolutely spectacularly beautiful, breezy island of Nantucket! On this glorious Thursday afternoon–the 16th day of July, 2015–I bid you and yours a fair and fine adieu.  Only wish you were here.  For words cannot really describe the feeling of flying around on a two wheeler (like a five year old), on a day such as this one.  I highly recommend visiting US here on this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by that Last Great Ice Age, for if memories are the best part of a vacation, you know, the love you bring home, well then, I cannot think of a better place on this planet than Cape Cod and Islands of Nantucket and Martha’s Vineyard!  We will, as always leave a LIGHT on for you.

In this ongoing saga, “Better Know Your District!” (credit: CBS’ “Late Show” host Stephen Colbert), I mean Cape Cod town or island, I believe we are up to number four, the town of “Osterville”, one of seven towns within the town of Barnstable, Massachusetts, USA, is next up on the docket, so to speak.  This town was originally known as Cotacheset, based on the Native American name for the area.  Over time, it became a center for “oystering” (harvesting wild oysters), thereby changing the name to “Oysterville”, until someone left out a consonant on a map and thus, shortening the name to what it is known today– “Osterville”.

As confusing as that is, how confused would the original settlers of this area be if they stumbled ‘out of time’ and found themselves in this 21st  Century America?  A town truly unrecognizable!  For this once quiet sea side village of mostly working people–living off the land and sea to a great degree, with a few wealthy mansions dotting the landscape here and there, (sea captains, bankers from Boston)–has been transformed over the past century, spilling over into this current one, as the downtown area, especially the business district, resembling Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills or what many have come to know it as a “mini-Palm Beach”.

Indeed, take a walk down quiet Main Street and one will notice the Royal Bank of Scotland, along with a handful of other prominent Wall Street investment banks.  Couple that with plenty of commercial banking presence, and perhaps five to seven high end real estate firms and your friend from the 19th, or even the early part of the 20th Century would not recognize the place.  High end women’s fashion, the quaint/excellent high quality of the ever popular “Fancy’s Market”, and all of the fine restaurants such as “Five Bays Bistro” and “Crisp”, one can’t really go wrong as one strolls up to “Kelly-Armstrong Park” (oldest and largest privately owned park on Cape Cod–open to the public), to take in all of the beauty Mother Nature has to offer.  With many trails guiding one through the well groomed gardens all done by “Grumpy Old Men” (the real name of the volunteers who make it so beautiful winter, spring, summer, or fall!).  Crosby’s Boat Yard is famous for it’s “Wianno Senior” and “Crosby Cat Boat”, the former a favorite of nearby Hyannis Port resident John F. Kennedy.

A steel drawbridge connects the village to Little Island & Grand Island (better known as “Oyster Harbors”), a gated community featuring many luxury homes and a private country club.  The neighborhood of Wianno abuts East Bay section of Osterville.  There are two private country clubs in Osterville: The Wianno and the Oyster Harbors Club.  Both clubs have private 18 hole golf courses, private tennis facilities and a private beach.  Wianno has sailing lessons for the kids.  The late, great actress Lee Remick lived here for many years, passing her last years in the peace and solitude “Oyster Harbors” provided her…

Like Nantucket, during July and August, Osterville’s population balloons due to summer residents who live in greater Boston during most of the year, maintaining this second home in Osterville, which is famous for it’s many, many sea side mansions.

But one can also take a humble walk over to “Joshua’s Pond” leading to “Mike’s Pond”, taking in all of that nature, serenity and peace of these ancient forests that surround many of the deep glacier made Kettle Ponds scattered about this true sand bar created by those retreating glaciers roughly 11-12 thousand years ago.  It is sometimes nice to think that these little ponds might hold some of that ancient water that once was in another form:  ice. Perhaps leaving a little drop of hope in an otherwise mad, mad world…

Have a wonderful day folks!

Clear Channel

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 11:54 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the warm, muggy, soon to be thunderous island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this very humid, heavy Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s)–the 15th day of July, 2015–a lazy Wednesday morning to be sure, around 10:55 a.m.. Most of the visitors from all ’round this little blue rock we all call ‘home’ for this present moment are well aware that it is a little sticky out there and that we will be receiving some more of that ‘normal’ wild weather a little later on in the form of thunder, lightening and heavy rain.  Although, right now it is sunny…

The sun is always shining 35,000 feet above one’s head.  Eternal Hope.  U.S. President Barack Obama will be speaking today in Washington D.C., mostly regarding an historic deal between the U.S. and Iran–pure in it’s intention and focus--a deal to curb and hopefully eliminate the latter’s nuclear weapon ambitions.  There is little doubt the extremely hard work put in by U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry has paid off.  This deal is coupled with this fine president’s leadership in the monumental task of ridding the world–once and for all–of any and all nuclear weapons; including the materials needed to make one.  Preventing rogue nations  from getting their hands on any “loose nukes” in the future. This agreement between Iran and the rest of that world is not only historic, it also represents a deep hope that reason and logic will finally triumph, peace becoming the watchword of the day.

Diplomacy is not just for breakfast anymore.  Talking out ‘your problems’ is infinitely more effective than bombing them away.  Of course, don’t tell that to the military industrial complex!  Greedy and rather insane men of the gun, always standing to gain from a good skirmish in the Middle East.  Just ask Dick Cheney, he’ll tell ya!

The American citizenry has been dumbed down–U.S. media’s soul being bought and all–over the course of the past twenty or so years, brainwashed by the 500 or so channels on their collective TV’s, ’smart phones’ or any number of electronic collars. Now mouthpieces for multinational corporations and the Oligarchs who own them.  Thus, said American public (most of them), not in a position to make a clear, intelligent, informed choice when this race for the 2016 U.S. President really heats up.  For the “services” they receive from their ‘cable providers’ are not really the “Clear Channel” of truth and grace, love and forgiveness, no sir!  Most of these stations are designed to “inform” the target, I mean, listener, with as little KNOWLEDGE as possible, ‘providing’ little in the way of quality information.  All while peddling enough pharmaceutical poison to kill and Elephant.

So when you tune into FOX “news” tonight (God forbid, I pray), keep this in mind.  There is a lovable old scallywag in Australia convincing you to vote against your own best interests.  Rupert, “arrgghh matey!”, Murdoch, is that ancient news man who has made a fortune in telling whoppers to that world–via News Corporation–for decades and decades and decades; shaping American political opinions from Iowa to New Hampshire, California to Michigan, with those manipulated opinions eventually turning into votes and thus, power in the United States of America.

We miss you CBS News’ Walter Cronkite!

Have a great day everybody!

“This aggression won’t stand, man…”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:22 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the showery (hit or miss), comfortable, peaceful island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this Tuesday morning at the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s)–this fourteenth day of July, 2015–a Tuesday to be sure, and looking out of my office window, it seems the bike ride might have to be postponed for a few more moments; the rains that dangerously drenched the Midwest recently have leaked into this pristine hamlet, one filled to capacity with people from every corner of this great big, blue spinning rock called EARTH.

In the independent film “The House I Live In“–a fascinating documentary about about the ‘war on drugs’ in this country, dating back to it’s inception with the Nixon administration, but even going further back than that–one is left in awe and blind wonder regarding the wisdom utilized in this so called free and fair country over the course of the past oh, say, fifty plus years.  It shows with facts and figures just how insidious this “war” has become. How it has turned on itself, becoming a real life monster that has affected millions of Americans, mostly African-American and mostly males and mostly under the age of 30.

In the immortal words of “The Dude” (Jeff Bridges) in the classic 1998 “cult film”,  “The Big Lebowski”– “…this aggression won’t stand man.” The ‘Dude’ referencing then U.S. President George H.W. Bush (who was referring of course to Iraqi aggression in that U.S. coveted oil rich region, upsetting this ‘new world order’, or band of richer than God plutocrats who have literally taken over the world), going all the way up the ranks, visiting ‘the chief of police’ in the city of Malibu, who, it turned out, was quite ‘the reactionary’…  No where is this clearer than in this 21st century mutant called “The war on drugs”, really a misnomer, for it is most clearly a war on the poor.

When people have no hope, moreover, no economic prospects–other than an illegal drug industry on the street of ‘take your pick’ ghetto in ‘take your pick’ U.S. city–Gabor Mate, an addiction specialist/MD, made the point, “…the real question is not why the addiction, but rather why the pain?”

Because of “mandatory minimum” prison sentences handed down to low level drug offenders nationwide, almost all non-violent ‘offenders’, over 2.1 million Americans now call prison their home, far outpacing every other nation on the planet.  The U.S. has 5 percent of the world’s population, with 25% of the world’s prisoners.   Therefore, as in any ‘good’ capitalistic society, for profit prisons, and all that comes with it, have become all the rage on Wall Street, creating that ‘profit’ for the sacred ’shareholders’; invisible souls who have replaced the Apostles, just as the CEO’s have replaced Jesus.

There are more African-Americans under correctional control (prisons, jails, probation, parole), in 2015 than there were enslaved in 1850, ten years before the onset on the Civil War.  Begging the question, ‘what is really going on here?’…

The seeds of this monstrous “war on drugs” can be traced back to the mid-1950’s, mostly in response to the ‘dangerous narcotics’ being used by 5% of the U.S. population.  A fact the “powers that be”, the “authorities”, deemed as “counter-cultural” at that time and place.  At least that is the story on it’s face.  Drug use was increasing during this decade by all races, but by the 1960’s, drug use grew exponentially, and for black communities, increasing poverty pushed the use and sale of drugs onto the street, making them an even bigger target for law enforcement.  By the late 1960’s, most urban cities had a mass market for drugs.  By the 1980’s, it was a drive up window at McDonald’s.  Thus, the argument of fighting a counter-cultural problem could no longer hold water, the ‘war’ had morphed into an all out war against a whole community..

Professor Ogletree of Harvard University stated in the film, “…there’s a structural problem in the U.S. we keep ignoring.  We have 2.1 million people in prisons and jails, a million of them are African-American.  Most male, non-violent offenders.  This is a pattern that has overtaken the African-American community, because you get a whole generation of kids who have the assumption they are destined to be in the criminal justice system. What you see over and over again in urban America are kids living in a crowded house, who are hungry when they go to school, who lack attention (not to mention love), because they’ve heard gun shots or other things where they live.  A ten year old girl faces drug dealers right outside of her front door as she makes her way to school; no economic opportunity.  The school is warehousing her, and she doesn’t see any prospects.  How is she supposed to get out?”

‘I wonder how a matter of public health didn’t just inspire early drug laws, but became the full blown target of war?’

This ‘war’ began, as stated earlier, by then U.S. President Richard Nixon, and let’s be honest, it was really intended to ‘get his poles up’ in 1968…  Nixon was progressively minded though in this matter initially, for two thirds of that drug war chest was solely dedicated to treatment rather than law enforcement, laughable today.  With the forward thinking (at times) Nixon being quoted in the early 70’s as saying, “…you don’t turn to drugs unless you can’t find satisfaction in any other way in your own life.”

Unfortunately for Nixon and countless addicts, with the 1972 election looming, politics once again trumped reason and humane treatment.  Nixon’s folly opting instead for brutality in the form of more law enforcement, rather than tackling the source of the overall problem with proven drug treatment programs and a change in our overall biased and ignorant viewpoints in general.  A harbinger of things to come to be sure.  For that tough talk on crime proved a recipe for electoral success, with state after state following suit, adopting tougher and tougher drug laws; mostly in the sentencing structure and implementation of more and more prisons being built, thus forcing someone to be put inside one of them!  This all happened via New York’s famous “Rockefeller Drug Laws”–an example of harsh penalties–soon adopted by other U.S. states in short order.  Indeed, the 100:1 crack cocaine to powder cocaine being the most glaring injustice of them all…

Raul Hilberg spoke at length about this topic in his book, “the Destruction of European Jewry’, (the Nazi annihilation of over 6 million Jews, mostly done in secretive concentration camps during World War II, Germany, ~1938-45). For if one were to look closely enough at what happened to the Jews in Germany during WWII at the hands of the Nazis, one could draw parallels with what is going on today with African-American males in the United States, as well as poor white males. Many now with no job prospects, hope or help, hooked on the next evil crack, meth.  He spoke at length about this millennia old ‘destruction’ of a group of peoples as a step-by-step process, with much of which happening of it’s own accord, it’s own momentum. And the destruction does not necessarily have to be as graphically raw as the carnage in Dachau or Auschwitz.  But can be just as effective ‘at the end of the day’…

In this ‘Chain of Destruction’, Hilberg describes the first link as being one of “Identification”.  A group of people who are “the cause” of all our woes and suffering, portraying them as ‘bad’ or ‘evil’. Exactly what the Nazis did in the late 1930’s to it’s own Jewish citizenry.  “Ostracism” being the second link in the chain, wherein a society learns how to hate and moreover, FEAR these people-the dreaded “other”.  Therefore, it behooves employers to begin taking their jobs away, making it harder for them to survive. People lose their place to live, forcing them into ghettos (designed that way on purpose), keeping a “lid” on ‘the situation’ as it were.  The third link in this ugly chain of hate and death is “Confiscation”; designed to take away people’s property, their rights and their civil liberties, thus taking away the people themselves.  The fourth link is “Concentration”, wherein the powers that be (at the moment), concentrate “them” into prisons, jails, institutions, camps (F.E.M.A. camps?), etcetera. This is done for many reasons, but the result is they can’t vote any more, they can’t procreate any more, and they basically don’t exist to US any more.  This step effectively takes away all of their remaining rights, leaving them as little more than animals that are ready for the slaughter.  Which is the next link in this chain of horror, as number five is “Annihilation”.  This might be indirect, such as withholding food, water or medical care, or preventing further births.  Or, it might be deliberate, where people are systematically killed as was the case in Germany in the late 1930’s and early 1940’s.

Is the “War on Drugs” a failure?  Most law enforcement agencies who are rolling in this new found gold mine would say, “hell no!”.  We are locking up more people, so we are making more money.  So is the taser gun industry, private prison construction industry, private phone companies, all kinds of new technology companies ready to help out the ‘good guys’ (and most are), heck fire, anybody affiliated with this new and upcoming self generating ‘war on drugs’ industry can make a “killing”.  Moreover, the deeper purpose of this ‘War’ is now as clear as a bright blue Nantucket summer day.

“WE created the ghetto for a reason.”

Have a nice day everybody!

Nantucket; AHOY!

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:01 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, breezy, perfect island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Monday morning–the 13th day of July, 2015–another stunning one out on the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s). So why not book your flight now and avoid the rush?  Take the whole month of August off and come on down and visit US! We will, as always, leave that LIGHT on for “ya”!

This is the third installment of ‘better know a district’, I mean, better know a Cape town or Island.  Today is the first of two, Nantucket Island, situated 22 miles off of Crosby’s Yacht Club in Osterville here on the Mainland.  Created 11,500 years ago in the final throws of the “Last Great Ice Age”, by retreating glaciers, Nantucket benefited from their thawing, hence the island’s terrific water supply, drawn from deep aquifers sitting below the island as ground water filters down through the sand and clay. That clay preventing sea water from invading the “lens”.  Another benefit naturally is the fact that the island is near the Atlantic Ocean’s Gulf Stream; therefore in winters it is warmer.  That water also acts as a natural air conditioner, for the “little old gray lady of the sea” (named that because of the frequent fogs and fact that most homes boast that white and gray classic clapboard look), is always at least 10 degrees cooler in the summer time than Boston or even mainland Cape Cod.

In the summer season, i.e NOW, the population swells from 10,000 souls in the lonely winter, to over 60,000, and that is not counting people who just go over on the Steamship Authority’s fast ferry “Iyanough” for the day or week end, pushing the edges with well over 100,000 on a hot July 4th day.

The island was ’settled’ in 1659, but discovered by Norsemen in the 11th Century.  When the English arrived, there were over 3000 Wampanoag Indians on what those indigenous peoples called “Nantucket”, or ‘far away land’.  Thomas Mayhew ’sold’ the rights to this far away land to nine men for the tidy sum of thirty pounds and two beaver hats.  Indeed, T. Coffin, Macy, Hussey, Swayne, Bernard, P. Coffin, Greenleaf, another Swayne and Pike all got a pretty good deal they would probably concur.

R.H. Macy is from Nantucket–the founder of Macy’s department store–and is also quite famous for it’s whaling activities over the years, especially during it’s peak in the mid-1700’s to the late 1830’s. The island boasting being at the ‘time’ the “whaling capital of the world”.  But in 1846, disaster stuck the island, with “the Great Fire” burning the town to the ground, leaving hundreds homeless and impoverished.  Whale oil, abundant wood on docks and the many warehouses were to blame for the blaze (taking much of the original architecture with it, with only 800 buildings now in existence on the island dating from the onset of the Civil War in 1861 forward.  The first public building to be rebuilt was the Antheneum (library), in 1847.

Tourism can be dated back to 1800 but picked up in 1881 with the building of the Nantucket railroad, those cars derailing at the onset of World War I (not the reason), but one can still enjoy a burger and brew at one of Nantucket’s most iconic restaurants, “the Club Car” (as seen on the TV show “Wings”, an early 1990’s U.S. sitcom based on Nantucket Airport), literally being one of the old rail cars itself.

In 2000–the dawn of the new millennium–that very first sunrise in the United States was seen on Nantucket island. I assume by someone now very famous indeed, perhaps the reincarnation of author Herman Melville, who stepped onto this far away land in 1840 and was inspired by some tall tales told by Owens and Nickerson.  A first mate of a whaling boat and his pal speaking of a great ‘White Whale’ ramming their vessel.  Creating of course the famous novel “Moby Dick”.

There exists three lighthouses on this most sacred and fabled island–Great Point Light in “Sconset”, Brandt Point in the town of Nantucket and Sankaty Lighthouse mid-island.  These lighthouses were invaluable for sailors to make their way through those dark and foggy nights, bringing them safely back to the bosom of Nantucket’s inner harbor and their eagerly awaiting family members…  With 700 plus ship wrecks counted, one can come to appreciate just how important that light was to seafarers from the days of ‘yore.

Have a great week ahead folks!

‘Captive Audience’

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 10:24 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the rainy, cool, soon to be clearing island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on a soggy Friday here at the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s)–this 10th day of July, 2015–although this wet weather will be pushing to our East within the next few hours, with a beautiful week end expected for all the wonderful people visiting from Beijing to Brussels, San Francisco to Saigon.  I hope y’all have a “wicked” good time!  This is a once in a life time kind of place…

Catch the Magic!

As it appears out of my decks’ eye looking out at said fellow human beings in the mist, sometimes it seems most miss what is real; momentous experiences evolving right in front of their eyes.  Give them your full attention! Not to the illusions horribly emanating constantly on a 3X5 inch screen that literally hold it’s “owners” captive seemingly every waking hour of their long, long day…

Would it not be refreshing to actually unplug that ’smart’ phone?  A device that 9 out of 10 doctors believe has truly become smarter than you, and has commanded your complete and undivided attention, affection, obsession and dare I say love.  For in that unconscious captivity underlies a real life hostage situation if you think about it for a moment.

Throw off the chains and if only for that moment look around at the Cardinal, the Great Blue Heron, the Snowy Egret, the Peregrine Falcon, the Red Tail Hawk, the Golden Eagle, the Osprey, the Golden Finch, the Baltimore Oriole, the Piping Plover, the Terns, right and left, the many, many Gulls species; heck even the secretive and mysterious Red Fox, the independent Coyote, the humble and graceful white tail dear beckon and hold some lesson there… Even the majestic Great Humpback, the Harbor seal, the graceful dolphin, courageous porpoise, and all the fish in the big, blue, mighty sea bring one back to “…whence we all came.” JFK

Just a thought before all of that vanishes from the face of the EARTH: if we don’t wake up soon…

Brought to you by multinational corporations everywhere!

Have a great week end folks and be safe out there “…amongst the English!” (credit the Harrison Ford in the classic 1985 film, “Witness”, also starring Kelly McGillis).

“Here comes the sun!”

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 11:39 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the partly cloudy, warm, wonderful island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Thursday morning–the 9th day of July, 2015–another grand summer day out on the waters of Hyannis and Hyannis Port on this beautiful summer day, a day with a fair amount of cloud cover with the possibility of thunder a little later on…  The summer season is in full swing now, the 4th of July being the kickoff to this most important season for the “little” people who live here year round.  The “locals” if you will, men and women who serve your meals, make your bed, clean your cabins (or mansions), and do just about everything else for you under the sun, save wipe you behind, although that is an option…

Yes, the local folk who take you on fishing tours to catch “Stripers” or Blue Fish, or captaining you to ‘far away islands’ with ‘ner an incident, evoking fond memories of the classic film circa 1991, “What About Bob?” (starring Bill Murray, Richard Dreyfus and Julie Hagerty), recalling “Bob’s” tee-shirt screaming with loud, obnoxious colors and the words, “Don’t hassle me, I’m a LOCAL!” Summing up the sentiment and moral of this simple statement of gratitude for the good ‘local love’ that makes up this great community of PEOPLE on little old Cape Cod.  People who eek out a living via the good tourists who flock here from every point on the compass.

Thank you for showing up!

PEOPLE are the reason for government in the first place, no?  For far too long, only a few of those people have benefited from policies issued by this current U.S. government.  This cronyism occurring in all three branches of the government; the Legislative, Judicial and most importantly, the Executive. For it is here, in this now most powerful branch of this 239 year old experiment of democracy called ‘the United States of America’, that those policies have gone off track, consequently failing the VAST majority of her people.  Since 1978, this pattern of corporate welfare has emerged and the rise of “globalization”, or economic slavery, has proceeded unabated, like a German tank rolling over Poland in the late 1930’s.  At no other time on Earth has income inequality been so stark a contrast. Not in the last twelve millennia has such a GRAND CANYON gap existed between those at the very top, living on Park Avenue, and those living on the other side of Park Avenue, north across the moat, I mean river, in New York City.  Dubbed by some as “The Greatest City in the World”.

For some.

Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has been speaking about this issue of income inequality for over forty years now, the same amount of time this trend has become such.  This intelligent, compassionate, honest and forth write man from the great independent state of Vermont–”How America once was”–is running for president and by God I pray he wins.  The country can no longer afford to go along the status quo line of ‘that’s the way it is’, for we all know that is horse hockey!  Look up the real history of this nation (civil rights, women’s rights, gay rights, social security, medicare, Affordable Care Act, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Minimum Wage, Union Rights, Regulations with teeth, Banking reform laws…), and you will catch the drift.

“Catch the mystery, catch the myth” (credit the Rock & Roll band Rush).

WAKE UP and smell the roses. We are a great people and we have fought the good fight before.  And won, big time!

The doomed folly of the 2010 SCOTUS “Citizens United v. FEC” decision–recognizing corporations as ‘real people’ with rights and all–may have wounded this young democracy with that little letter ‘d’, but not mortally.  Too many people will fight tooth and nail to keep one or two out of touch oligarchs from buying that now ultra powerful sometimes puppet like Executive branch of the United States government.

Independent Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders has nothing to hide.  He is fresh because of that fact and is exactly what this country need right NOW!  The beauty of Bernie also revolves around another fact–he has no angle!  What other politician can really say that!  Come on all you pundits out there, explain that away! He is the truth and will correct the mistakes of the past 35 plus years.  All is not lost.  We just need a course correction; a move towards reason and a Resource Based Economy, as opposed to a free for all ‘free market’ nightmare.  One based in technological advancements.  Chalk full of new and improved forward thinking that helps ALL of mankind, not just the “chosen few”.  Global policies that will save this planet before it’s too late.  The days of ‘the bottom line’ must end if the planet is to survive.

For this greedy notion of ‘globalization’ is, in fact, a two edged sword.  To go along with all the social austerity ‘trending’ globally, e.g., Greece, is the shameful, outrageous, criminal exploitation of the poorest of the poor; atrocities wrought upon these ‘emerging nations’, or rather the poor impoverished, raped/pillaged/leveraged/impossibly indebted to the hilt nations. Helpless countires under the heel of powerful monied organizations such as the World Bank or the International Monetary Fund.

Yes indeed, for all that criminality (please Google Texaco Oil, now Chevron, noting the illegal dumping of 18 times more oil than the Exxon Valdez spill in Alaska, 1989), such as dumping unwanted crude into pristine rain forests of Ecuador–dumped on purpose to save money–thus, destroying that nation forever… Net result being that horrible human move making that much more of “it” for ‘their investors’.  The bloody, sacred investors, or “shareholders”.  The bulk of of whom own most of said stock and thus have everything to gain, the whole point Watson!   However, at some juncture, you know, “at the end of the day”, there will be a reckoning.

It is written.

Have a great day folks!  Hopefully steering clear of the lead painted wooden nickels thrown about by FOX ‘news’!  Ever remembering that the shiny–yet ironically always dark and grim!–broadcasts are worth nothing. Save for the uncomfortable and sometimes deadly side effects.  The loss of the human mind and/or soul is such a terrible waste.

Wouldn’t you agree Hobson?

“We can be heroes” (just for one day?)

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 11:14 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, breezy, comfortable island of Nantucket! Great as always to be with you, coming to you LIVE from the pleasant Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s), this 7th day of July, 2015, another stunning one here on this little sand bar created by the Last Great Ice Age some 11,500 years ago.  A period in ‘time’ when man lived without Knowledge of anything much, save the fact he may be eaten soon by a Saber Tooted Tiger!

All these millennia later, one may ponder how far we have come?  The opportunity for most in poverty to get out is limited at best, appallingly and depressingly impossible at worst.  For if you combine the crumbling school systems in America in this early part of the 21st Century (starved for funding because of the failed “no child left behind” bill signed into law by then U.S. President George W. Bush), the horrible “food Products” we feed these ‘little people’ (chalk full of salt, fat and sugar, plus all the added ‘benefits’ of genetically modified organisms or GMO’s“poisoning with a distinct and rather tasty pecan pesticide base!”–and the fact these children live in less than loving environments (neighborhoods rife with guns, violence, some problem police, gangs and quite frankly a feeling that the sky may be falling at any moment, yes, if one were to take all of those factors into the equation, one may be able to see just how tough it is for the working poor (especially the young ones, who did nothing to deserve this brand of policy doled out by men who could care less about the plight of 99 percent of the human race), to survive, let alone thrive and succeed in this life.

Eventually, this will all catch up to this new concept of a “New World Order”; whatever that is supposed to mean.

For a civilization, like a chain link fence, is only as strong as it’s weakest link.  And by having the income gap, the epic Grand Canyon Gap, between those at the very top and half the U.S. population, well then Houston, you’ve got a problem!

As in what is transpiring in Greece today–the Money asking for more austerity from those who can least afford it, indeed attesting to wring blood from a stone–so too will this happen on these shores of the United States of America if we continue down this path of ‘profit over people’. It is already happening as multinational corporations who actually draft and push legislation these days in Washington D.C., continue to force ‘law makers’ on Capitol Hill–men they own because of the doomed SCOTUS 2010 decision, the folly of “Citizens United”–to cut the safety net for millions, leaving poor mothers to go to food pantries at the end of the month to feed their children.  The $240 a month only goes so far for a family of three.  You try it Congressman Ryan of Wisconsin!

We just love tough guys like you!

Have a great day everybody and if you really want to be what rock star David Bowie said in that classic tune,  give of yourself. It is the only sure way to get out of that crazy head of yours!  Ain’t that right (fill in the blank) GOP candidate for the President of the United States come 2016?

Of course that concept would go against everything old Paul Ryan (WI-R), knows and loves about his hero Ayn Rand! The poster child of this new, blood thirsty, greedy, and dare I say rather insane ‘not your grand father’s’ GOP.  A hateful, Nazi-like philosophy of ‘leading’ a nation if I ever did see one!

Cast Off!

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 11:28 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, warm, calm island of Nantucket! It is very good to be with you on this Monday morning–the sixth day of July, 2015–a sticky one out on the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront(s), as the mass exodus from the Cape leaves a quite calm over the waters that haunt this hamlet. Lo, the fireworks were ‘a blazing on Saturday night–the 4th of July–with Main Street’s parade getting in on the fun, complete with the “Ancient Mariners” from the great state of Connecticut lending a hand with the big drums in the march down this quite little seaside village that was here to mark that historic occasion of the declaration of independence so many, many moons ago; the big sound intended to commemorate OUR Independence from any and all tyrannical rule; wherever that devil may be popping his head out these days…

The heat continues out West, with many out of control fires blazing in the tortured soil, punished daily by the relentless sun.

What happens when California runs dry?

When they don’t have any more WATER!

That’s something the “news” media these days does not want one to ‘think’ about, no sir!  We would much rather you watch the shiny objects and listen to the hypnotic music in our soul less backdrop called ‘the TV’ (or a ’smart device’ or some kind or another!). Perpetual brainwashing, as one continues to shop, feeding the monetary-market system that only rewards those at the top (Walmart or it’s equivalent only please!).  All while paying no attention to the ‘men behind the curtain’, plutocrats who are truly pulling all of the strings.  The coming cataclysm that is GLOBAL WARMING is not news in this rather dumb-ed down American civilization we all seem to be living in.  Sadly it has become a punchline just like the GOP.

“Vee will tell you what to think, what to buy, what to say, how to dress, where to shop, where to vacation, who to love, and most of all who to believe!  You ‘vill believe us!  For ‘at the end of the day’, who is going to save you from all the ‘terror’ out there?  Save you from all of those men in black suits, living in caves?  Do not distress yourself with the goings on of the emerging “New World Order”.  Pay no attention to what the World Bank and International Monetary Fund does, what countries it destroys economically and environmentally!  The creation of this massively powerful global corporatcracy,–inherent slavery therein–depends on your ignorance, sloth and easy manipulation to go along with your lack of fire in the belly!  Thank you ‘little people’, I mean ‘the American people’!  Thank you for making us richer than our wildest dreams, indeed, for accepting our big LIE as Truth! All while continuing to forgo your Constitutional Rights, gladly relinquishing those God given rights to think, act, live and moreover be yourselves!  Thank you buying in to all of the negativity spawned from the dirty Madison Avenue Wizards, primed with plenty of fuel via the doomed 2010 SCOTUS’ “Citizens United” decision that gave our monster (the corporation) the right to ’speak’ and behave like a real, live, breathing human being (without any of the liability!).  A case, thankfully again, you know nothing about.  Thank you for being so gullible America, thank you!”

–a quote from ‘the Bilderberg Group’ (poetic license applied!).

Have a great week ahead folks! Hopefully casting off the GMO filled, multinational, corporately owned and operated, Joseph Goebbell’s like propaganda ‘news’ pitches… blaring at you 24/7…
