Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, brisk and blue skied island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Friday morning, the thirtieth day of May, 2014, another spectacular one out there on the Hyannis Port waterfront, albeit a bit on the nippy side of summer, but hey, what the heck, at least the weather seems in tune with the ‘time’ of year it is positioned within for the moment…

It is time for the American public to get real with big oil and gas–an industry that has hijacked this nation’s environmental health for their own profit and ideological models–and expose them to the light of day. Fracking is a term seacapecod.net has used from time to time and I am sure you have suffered through enough commercials screaming to you over your flat screen TV as of late, assuring you of the USA! USA! USA! jingoistic hor$e$hit the ExxonMobil’s and Koch Industries of the world want you to digest–namely, that the hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of ‘natural gas’ wells that have sprung up in the past decade are perfectly safe, ‘nothing to SEA here folks’, yes sir, these wells here don’t leak or nothin’, they are just a good source of ‘American jobs’ (death rates in oil and gas industry way up) and because that methane, I mean natural gas is so prevalent, we don’t have to worry ’bout them foreigners no more, yep, we can just drill, baby drill right in say, heck, the Grand Canyon and bring down customers rates and all.  What?, there might be a problem with them tanks leaking up to 17 percent in the L.A. basin? 11 in the Uinta basin, 700 square miles up in the Utah eastern mountains, and in Denver, Colorado, the so called Denver basin, readings are well above four percent?  That can’t be right.  This means that the EPA is lying to US. Imagine that?  The industry sworn to protect the environment is actually in bed with the oil and gas industry, the industry it is supposedly ‘regulating’.  What a joke.  According to any record you look at, the EPA agrees with the industry’s assessment that methane leaks from the fracking well heads is less than one and a half percent, at the highest.  Again, a number the EPA gets FROM the oil and gas industry.

This is an oily and dirty tangled web that the average American does not have time to really look at, let alone fight.  Rest assured though, in ten years time, they will be outraged whole lot more than they are right now.  For you SEA, the aforementioned groups, along with Chevron, Shell, bp and the rest of the usual suspects are all in on the gag.  Namely, to pull the wool over the public’s eyes in this United States of America, lying to them as to the dangers inherent with natural gas extraction.  A two year study was released by NOAA recently, or the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, out of Boulder, Colorado, concluding that on the low end, 3.6 percent of methane leaks (well above the threshold of 3 percent for natural gas’ argument of being cleaner than coal or oil) and 7.9 percent of the high end, making it MUCH worse than oil or coal.   Most experts who have a firm grip on reality and are not bought agree that living anywhere near a fracking well is UNsafe and should be avoided if possible, considering not only the poisonous fumes coming from the well, but the water around the well being contaminated with the deadly fracking fluid, as well as radioactive materials, yes sir, those lovely cocktail is chalk full of 596 secret chemicals that are now illegal to even talk about in the state of North Carolina, where one could go to jail for exposing what chemicals are in those horrible fracking pools that obviously leak into ground water, adding radium and all sorts of other toxins that kill everything living and feeding in the rivers around it.  Just ask the people of Rifle, Colorado, they’ll tell ya!

None of this information gets into the main stream media, until it is too late of course, save via real journalists such as Chris Hayes and Rachel Maddow of MSNBC, or Bill Maher’s HBO’s VICE, and say Showtime’s “Years of Living Dangerously”, who have all offered up some very sobering FACTS regarding all the ingenious ways we humans are destroying the planet for PROFIT. They exposed what we here at seacapecod.net has been eying for years, groups like “The Heartland Institute”–a powerful global warming denier that is funded by, who else, the two most powerful forces in that oil and gas industry--Koch Industries and ExxonMobil, who gave, not only to Heartland, but to the overall propaganda effort, from the years 2003 to 2010, 558 million bucks. That’s right, a half a billion to deceive the American electorate that not only is global warming not real, but if, on the off chance, 97 percent of world class climate scientists from every corner of the globe who conclude beyond a shadow of a doubt that man is the CAUSE of GLOBAL WARMING (the other three percent are bought and sold by the aforementioned groups as well as ‘thousands’ of other schmucks with no climate science knowledge, let alone degrees and stuff!, then drank the Koch Kool-Aid and signed the “Oregon Petition”, in blood of course), that ’s right, that it is real then hey, it must be good for you, for the free market is always right.  With ALEC, the ‘American Legislative Exchange Council’, firmly in place, Congress gets more corporate everyday (115 bills from ALEC became law in 2013), for her members include, again, the aforementioned oil and gas giants, along with thousands of state and local legislators.  These bills write themselves, then are simply signed and voted on by the puppet republican politicians–thus jammed through the legislature with no problems, e.g., the famous 2005 “Halliburton Loophole”, that took the Clean Air Act of 1970 (and the Clean Water Act of 1972) out of the picture when it came to fracking, all while the George W. Bush administration took the teeth out of the EPA, allowing drilling, fracking and more polluting to go on unabated…just look to North Carolina and Duke Energy’s coal ash dumps into the Elk River, Dan River, Cape Fear River…

Wake UP AMERICA! Water will become more precious than GOLD soon, but it may be the methane in the air that causes the waters to rise even faster than they already are.  Methane gas is 110 times more potent than CO2 and if the projected 35,000 wells a year goes on unabated, the earth’s temperature will rise exponentially in that coming decade, leading to a deepening of the problem with devastating consequences to our everyday lives due to extreme weather patterns world wide.  I wonder if the “Electricity Freedom Act” will help us in any way, what are your thoughts Senator?

Yes, Global Warming, to quote Martha Stewart, ‘is a good thing’, just like the NRA is a blessing from God and GMO’s are food.  The way in which a Charles Koch (whose net worth, coupled with his brother David, is 100 billion) wants to change our country permanently is to eliminate government all together, save the military and the police state they wish to erect, especially those pesky regulations on anything that has to do with his precious Koch Industries profits, chalk full of refineries and chemical potions, with interests in the tar sands up north, hence the Keystone XL pipeline, where, if built, GOD FORBID, he and his brother would probably double their money in the next ten years, being in the position to buy just about anything they want–the Judicial, the Legislative, and the Executive, hence, the United States of America. They are already doing just that, only in the dark. Through mechanisms such as “Donors’ Trusts” or “Donors’ Capital Fund” those climate denial groups like the Heartland Institute can shield their donors from the light of day, hence, any backlash from the public, for really, think about it, ‘how can you hold someone accountable if you don’t know who they are?’.

Michael Woelk, CEO of Picarro Inc., the fine company that manufactures the equipment used in measuring the leaking methane gas (1000 times more accurate and sophisticated than the equipment used by industry and the EPA) wells all around the country said this about this oil and gas industry’s claim that the escaping methane is ‘no big deal’—”…they’re wrong, they’re flat out wrong, and so is the EPA, listen, like so many other inaccuracies, if you repeat them often enough, and you repeat them loud enough, and defend them with vociferously, then that kind of becomes accepted as truth.”  It is not a lie if YOU believe it~ This same equipment was used in Boston and Washington D.C. lately and it appears that ’some’ of the 1.5 million miles of natural gas pipeline’s infrastructure is throwing out readings of 45 percent pure methane, truly, 45 percent coming right out of the street!  With the corrosion and leaks, it is surprising more explosions have not occurred like the one we saw recently in New York.

It seems this energy boom is here to stay, for it is estimated that there is 15 trillion bucks of methane trapped in that shale rock all over this great land of OURS.  Who do you think is going to win this fight?  Sing it with me boys, “…this land is your land, this land is my land, from California, to the New York islands, to the redwood forests, to the Gulf stream waters (don’t eat the shrimp! thanks bp!), this land was made for you and me, but mostly ME, didn’t you get the memo?!”  (beautifully sung by “the Koch Brothers”–show band and review, not to be confused with the great Blues Brothers who are on a mission from God, look down upon US now John Belushi!).  Have a nice week end folks and steer clear of those wooden nickles thrown about by FOX “News”, like the side effects from living too near a fracking well sight, those side effects still include, but are not limited to, vision problems, nose bleeds, ear ringing, migraines and the never ending delusions of grandeur–you know that feeling deep, deep down, the very real conviction that you were once the King of England?  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Great to be with you on this soggy Wednesday, the 28th day of May, 2014, actually closing the windows and cranking the heat as a backdoor cold front pushed on through after the spectacular Memorial Day weekend here in Hyannis/Hyannis Port, with all participants in and around the famous Figawi sailboat race to Nantucket enjoying mid-seventies, sun, surf and that wonderful sand you get to take back with you when departing this most sacred of sand bars created 11,500 years ago (sorry “creation”ists!)…So come on down and visit US this summer, we will, as always, leave the LIGHT on for ya!

On this rather somber day however, one of the great poets, writers and thought leaders of our time passed away, hopefully being as care free in the after life as she made many of us feel in this one when we read or heard her poetic prose.  Such as one of her last ‘entries’ into our consciousnesses, “…Listen to yourself, and in that quietude, you might just hear the voice of God.”  God speed Maya Angelou, God speed…

She was President Clinton’s poet Laurette at his inauguration in 1993, awarded the Medal of Freedom by President Barack Obama and perhaps is guiding his speech today at West Point, offering the commencement to some fine young men and women who will be guiding this nation in the future with regard to conflicts that will surely arise with new threats yet seen by mankind.  One of those being GLOBAL WARMING, for rest assured as the insanity of the overuse of fossil fuels continues unabated in not only this country but worldwide, the conflicts and more to the point, rescue missions will never be so needed as the seas begin to rise in earnest.  National security will be among the victims of this cataclysm to come and those young men and women in uniform our very fine President Barack Obama is speaking to today, need all the prayers we can muster.  But none so much as prayers for the enlisted men homeless in the streets of take your pick city, town, countryside USA, scoring dope under a freeway; a temporary shelter from the storm they came back to, an overpass that acts as their ‘watering hole’ and home simultaneously.  What did we think would happen after 12 plus years of war?  “We go to war with the army we have”, some jackass former US Defense Secretary once said, Donald Rumsfeld I believe his name was…  Did he ever think of the consequences for his ‘leadership’?   We have soldiers suffering from PTSD, who are not getting any real help, just loads of ‘meds’ that only lead to greater FOG, just look at the evidence.  Evidence to the tune of US soldiers dying not at the hand of the ‘enemy’, but the hand of the enemy within.  Not knowing where to turn for help, their service buddies no longer alive in many cases, not with them to see them through this tough test, see them through together. These men and women are the real victims of a war that never ended for them, lo, it continues day in and day out, with no end in sight, living it as if it just happened, with no light at the end of a very dark tunnel.  There must a better outreach for these warriors who deserve better than the street as a bed.  Heroin, booze, coke, you name it is the ‘America’ they came back to.  We made them into soldiers, we can unmake that hard wiring and free them to live lives without fear, without addiction, without war. Great to be with you and yours on this Saturday evening, the twenty-fourth day of May, 2014, coming to you LIVE, right here in Hyannis Port, home to, of course, the 35th President of the United States of America, John F. Kennedy and the rest of that extraordinary family, who lived in the house, compound rather, you can SEA above...Happy Memorial Day Mr. President! And one to our current President, Barack Obama, heck, one to all former presidents, may you look down upon US now!

WE all pray that this country can regain it’s common sense principals once again and live up to the standards men like you fought and died to preserve, leading many an American soldier into battles against the darkest evils man has wrought upon his own kind…  God was with you then and may he be with US now.  May we remember those who have fallen this week end, reminding ourselves of their sacrifice, while we demand better treatment for those returning veterans, many suffering from invisible diseases like PTSD and substance abuse as they cope to adjust to life outside of a military conflict they had nothing to do with. WE had no problem sending them to war 13 years ago, spending TRILLIONS; let US honor and rehabilitate them now that those pointless wars are for all intents and purposes (whatever the hell those were) over. TRULY caring for our veterans with MONEY and counseling– for God’s sakes man!

The world does not need another billionaire buying yet another politician/judge/police chief/dog catcher, no.  The world needs leaders whose real eyes look to the needs of the PEOPLE and the environment they will be living in.  The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few, or at least they count for something, while you spoil their water, air and soil in the never ending pursuit of fossil fuels that are taking down the planet–an exercise of pure folly!

Riches come and riches go, but in the eyes of historical 20/20 perfect hindsight, let alone Divine Judgement, it will be the leaders showing mercy and kindness to those with little, those who are vulnerable, those who have been exploited, that will be heard…  Leaders who rise above the petty politics of the ‘time’ and witness, then communicate the higher purpose of LIFE itself, life for all, not just a chosen few, and thus tackle the issue of that time, GLOBAL WARMING.  This task will be for the millennial generation and beyond as they grapple to create safety and ingenuity in the face of ever changing climate creating a chaotic place for all living things to survive, let alone thrive.  It will be our response, and the response of future leaders that will echo our destiny as a nation, either one ‘…of the people, by the people and for the people’, or one of “…Of the Corporation, By the Corporation and FOR the CORPORATION”.  Men and women much better than you, fill in the blank, upholding the fabric of this young democracy with a little letter d, lo, let it be known that those TRUE PATRIOTS laid their lives on the battlefields of our bloody history for that flag representing real freedom–a democracy that equals one man and one vote, not one billionaire to one billion votes, no sir, that is not what those men died for.  Thomas Paine authored the first notion of a break from the tyranny of a King, thus creating the grand nation called America we all take for granted today.  But rest assured she must be defended, especially from those who cloak themselves in legal loophole language, e.g., “patriots”, while simultaneously robbing it of that very essence–wolves in sheep’s clothing in 1776, or in 2014, “Americans for Prosperity”. Great to be with you on this Monday morning, the 19th day of May, 2014, another beauty here at the Hyannis/Hyannis Port Waterfront, as we all look forward to the week ahead in this here world we all share…I wonder what kind of week it will be?  Take your pick of Russian aggression, U.S. primaries, the treatment of women around the globe, racism in America, the NSA, fearless cats, or the yo-yo weather patterns around the world…

If you have been watching any of the national news broadcasts here in the states as of late, you may notice that almost half the content revolves around the extreme meteorological events that have been taking place lately from Baton Rouge to Berlin.  Take ABC’s Sunday night evening news show for example, where the first story was about the vicious wildfires that smoked parts of San Diego, California over the past few days.  25,000 acres have been destroyed from Carlsbad to San Marcos, with 20 million dollars in damage thus far, including the death of a homeless man, God rest his soul.  Moving on from fire, we turn to water and the devastating flooding taking place in Bosnia, where torrential rains have forced many from their homes and businesses.  From water to none, the great news minds bring the masses more on the drought that is so deep in Texas, many are turning to the divine for help, although I am not sure it works that way without us little humans helping out God with our activities, you know, like not using the air and water as an open sewer…

Yes, as ‘the world turns’ WE all must turn with it, but that is easier than it looks in the good ‘ole US of A circa 2014.  The Koch brothers, with their 100 billion dollar ‘nest egg’ (credit the film, “Lost in America”, starring Albert Brooks and Julie Hagerty, a must SEA!, circa 1985), however, will undoubtedly have something to say about the whole thing when they, GOD FORBID, take over the United States of America and turn it into a true Oligarchy run by a few, elite and politically savvy billionaires who have cunningly taken over the entire U.S. House of Representatives and is poised to take the US Senate come November…  If this sophisticated ruse plays out as the Koch brothers envision it, they will attempt to force our very fine President Obama (via extortion) to sign on to the bloody Keystone XL pipeline--blindly pumping dirty highly toxic tar sands oil 1500 miles south from Alberta, Canada, to the “Gas Land” that is the Gulf of Mexico. From the tar sand pits of hell they own half of, yes another pipeline planned to run through the CORE of our beautiful country, running right down the middle of the VITAL Ogallala aquifer, an aquifer that provides all of the water for much of the food many of US eat everyday, not to mention the fact that if approved would lock this country into a dirty energy future for generations to come, effectively spelling “lights out for the environment”, a FACT according to most if not all climate scientists who are not bought off by these ‘titans of industry’, ‘men of vision and courage’, yes sir, a pipeline that only USES the American people’s land.  This land is only a FOR PROFIT highway by big foreign/domestic polluter(s), our good ‘patriot friends’ David and Charles Koch, who will simply ship the crude out to the highest bidder, leaving the American people high and dry once again, but with the ever present danger of another catastrophic oil gusher like the bp disaster on the precious soils of the heartland of America.  Disasters that are still a nightmare for the Gulf of Mexico’s overall environment and population four years later.  All thanks to the 1.9 million of gallons of the deadly toxic Corexit EC9500A (made by ExxonMobil and banned in most countries, e.g., the UK) dispersant sprayed on thousands of square miles in the Gulf waters during the crisis that year, all done in secret with Coast Guard’s blessing and protection by the way.  That’s right folks, all of those 500 million barrels of oil bp ’spilled’ in 2010 is now out of sight and mind forever, sitting on the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico, creating dead zones without oxygen, thus destroying LIFE from the most basic of it’s components, namely the beginning of the food chain, one celled organisms.  Thus, not so much out of the mind’s of Gulf residents, leaving most fishermen in Louisiana and the rest of the Gulf states with poisonous shrimp and other sea food catches; food they cannot bring to market for it might kill someone–and that signing of that horrible FOR PROFIT ONLY PIPELINE will be the surrender these power hungry oil and gas moguls desire. Much like Russian “President” Vladimir Putin, they will rule this land of the free and home of the brave much like the Kleptocracy it has become, with care only for ‘their’ brothers and sisters, the one percent.  For who is getting richer and who is getting poorer?

The stock market has risen from that low of around 6500 when the Great Recession hit in 2008 to all time highs, focusing in on that 17,000 point soon.  People like David and Charles Koch, due to the boom of FRACKING and the need for their chemical cocktails, have seen their own personal wealth explode as have most other one percenters.  There is no doubt one of our Founding Father’s, James Madison (the 4th U.S. President) was right on the mark when he warned that too much wealth concentrated with too few leads to corruption and the ultimate destruction of democracy.  With the 2010’s SCOTUS’ Citizens United decision, erroneously equating money with speech, effectively leaving 99 percent of the U.S. population watching from the cheap seats, we are, like the weather outside, experiencing all of this change right NOW.

Senator Harry Reid (NV-D), the majority leader of the U.S. Senate, is doing a bang up job exposing these jokers, for they operate in the shadows as their dark money works it’s way from sea to shining sea. They spend millions in local, state and federal elections, and with the help of their shell game playing out via front organizations like Americans for Prosperity, the Koch’s have bought many a politician, judge and mind of many in power who have bent to their will, and that will is to ’shrink the government down to the size where we could drown it in a bathtub’ (credit GOP henchman Grover Norquist), leaving the billionaire brothers and others like them to plunge this great nation of even greater people into bondage and austerity.  All while they make money hand over fist, killing those fellow brothers and sisters with their secret 596 deadly chemical witches brew they use in FRACKING for ‘natural gas’.  GIVE ME A BREAK!  The more you know right?  Have a great week ahead folks and please Google these guys and make up your own mind.   For if you believe all of this is an isolated thing, like the freaky yo-yo weather patterns not being attributable to GLOBAL WARMING, caused, in part, by the profit model of the oil and gas industries, who want to kill green technology ’cause it eats into their profits, profits higher than God’s, well then, you are one of the many Ostriches who continually stick their heads in the proverbial sands when faced with danger, sadly denying it in the dark, thinking that if they concentrate real hard, that danger will not SEA them and pass them on by.  Denial is not just another river in Egypt baby, right “Morning Joe”?  They, like the sheep who drink the FOX “NEWS” Kool-Aid, content approved by the likes of a David Koch, will never notice the FACT that sea levels will rise by a whole lot more than we ‘think’ at this ‘time’.  All while the storms get stronger, the deadly droughts continue to deepen, the wildfires rage on and the richest .001 percent laugh all the way to the bank, a bank that banks off of your back!  These are the ‘threads of history’ we need to pay attention to, you know, the details, for that is where the Devil lives, ever reminding ourselves that, like the late, great American Samuel Johnson once said, “…foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds”… isn’t that right Karl?    PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! It is, as always, great to be with you on this Wednesday, the fourteenth day of May, 2014, a much cooler day than the eighty degree temperatures we enjoyed during the Mother’s Day week end.

Of course this yo-yo weather pattern is not just noted here in Hyannis Port, the weather patterns are turning crazy from coast to coast, as well as the world at large, all due to mankind’s folly with fossil fuels.  Denver and the mountains of Colorado recently were blasted with up to three feet of snow, while the coast of California fries in 100 degree heat, Santa Ana winds a howlin’ at over 70 miles per hour, fueling more wildfire danger not only in the Golden State, but all over the west, including Texas where rain, or the lack of it, is the topic at every diner table from El Paso to Austin, with lakes drying up into puddles, with befuddled, ignorant men standing around staring at the mud, responding when asked the question, “…do you believe in Global Warming?”– “…Gee wiz, I don’t think so, gosh, I think it’s some kind of government thing, like Senator Inhofe says, ‘it’s all a big hoax, sorry, hey, I gotta go, I’m meetin’ up with the boys down at the thirsty red neck bar and grill…we gotta get the ATV’s gassed up and all, yeah, we’re picking up the new AK47’s and headed on down to Mesquite, Nevada, where we are gonna show them government boys a thing or two!”

Yep, the Ostrich and the Republican, when faced with fear or the FACTS, they invariably stick their heads in the sand and blame the black guy in the White House.  Now, of course, with the 2016 election cycle leap frogging the 2014 Midterms, Hillary Clinton is back on the front burner, with Republican strategist Karl Rove, Machiavellian as they come, telling the world what he knows of traumatic brain injuries and the like, claiming Hillary was ‘in the hospital for 30 days with brain damage…’, creating more problems down the road for the out of touch party than it solved.  We will see, for if the poles are to be believed, it will be hard for any of the idiots on the right side of the aisle, as well as the WRONG side of reason and history, to beat the former First Lady.  Take Senator Marco Rubio of Florida for example.  He does not, like the rest of his ilk, believe in GLOBAL WARMING, even as his own state is about to be swallowed whole by the Atlantic Ocean.  Good Luck GOP, at least you have FOX “NEWS” to back you up!  Have a great day and rest of the week ahead folks, remembering that Karl is not really a doctor, he just plays one on the critically acclaimed new HBO series, “Boogeymen of the Beltway”, starring Karl Rove as an aging witch doctor whose diagnosis’, as well as prognosis’ are always up for a good laugh, cry, depending upon your view of this whole bloody affair called American politics in the 21st century.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! So Have a great day Moms around the world, and thank you for telling us the TRUTH about what is really going on, even when sometimes it hurt.  America would be a better place if we had more Moms like mine in Washington D.C., for there would be a hell of lot fewer wars, more nutritious foods, more love, more gratitude, more focus, more nurturing, more good discipline, more education, more freedom, more love, yes, that’s right more love, for if this world had more of THAT, we would all be in a better place, with less time for selfish things and more time for our fellows.  Self seeking would slip away and we might someday all SEA that there is enough for everybody, and that this world is still worth saving.  May we seek to show others the path of reason before it is too late.  Think about it!  Thanks Mom.  Please say a little prayer to whomever you might consider bigger than ‘yourself’ (whatever that means, am I right John “Benghazi” Boehner?  You knucklehead!) today for the mothers and daughters victimized by the evil that is going on in Nigeria.  Again, have a wonderful day MOMS of the world and God Bless you ALL! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cloudy, cool and rather raw island of Nantucket! Great to be with you once again on this 9th day of May, 2014, a day featuring some rain on Cape, with the middle part of the country looking to the skies once again for the tornadoes that will eventually touch down…our prayers are with them! As are prayers for the hijacked school girls in Nigeria, may the forces of good be with them now, as well as all women hurt by evil men world wide–WE are watching you.

Of course, all the prayers in the world will probably not wake up this mentally, physically and spiritually challenged 21st century GOP, who have gone back to the insanity of retrying old cases, i.e. the tragic death of four Americans in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012, or the IRS ’scandal’ of Crossroads/GPS tax status (501(c)(4)) victim-hood along with other right wing groups who felt they were unfairly targeted, and of course ‘Fast and Furious’, yes, reopening the red herrings because attacking “Obamacare” in order to stoke the crazy tea party base just ‘ain’t working no more, ’cause dag nabbit, it, the Affordable CARE ACT of 2010, now the LAW of the land, is working for millions of Americans–imagine that Mitt?

This U.S. right wing noise machine, fueled by the Gerbil like station of FOX ‘News’ and other right wing talk show haters such as Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh, is really quite a piece of work.  If you were an undereducated person living in this country right now, never really knowing much about politics and power in the good ‘ole US of A, nor knew any real history of this nation or the world for that matter, you may, with your Comcast subscription, truly believe global warming is a hoax, the President is a treasonous imposter from Kenya, a secret Muslim communist who wants your guns and first born child, yes, sir, you would believe that the republican party has every right to be in a woman’s bedroom, telling her what she can and cannot do with her own body, absolutely you would.  Yet on that same note, these same folks hypocritically claim that government has no right to infringe on our ’sacred’ second amendment rights by golly, rights that somehow dictate–now law in Georgia, God help them!–that all kinds of bloody guns belong in churches, schools, libraries, bars, airports, hospitals, maternity wards especially, did I say churches, hell yes I did!  Yes even Christ would be brainwashed into thinking a far left wing conspiracy is here to take away your ‘freedom’ via healthy food choices and a fair living wage mandated by that ‘evil out of control spending big government’ that wants to ‘enslave’ you by giving you food stamps so you don’t starve to death working your slave job at Walmart.  You would not be aware that your situation is only getting worse, for the deck is stacked against you and your kind, even though you continue to vote these guys in, these fake and phony grass root tea party types into office, ’cause they be against and his tyrannical ways. Yet you would be wrong.  Very wrong.

The republican party is a group of men who are clamoring around the plutocrats attempting to buy this country–via voter restrictions/ID and gerrymandered districts that favor the now party of the one percent–candidates with a little ‘r’ in upcoming local, state and federal elections coming up in November.  Billionaires like Sheldon Adelson and the Koch Brothers will spend hundreds of millions more soon– thanks to the fatally flawed SCOTUS‘ 2010 “Citizens United” decision to allow big corporations to dump UNLIMITED amounts of monies into elections in those now gerrymandered districts from sea to shining sea, electing puppets, with the help of many a dumb American republican male, who do not have your best interests in mind.  NO SIR!  These ‘men’ only have the interest of their investors and themselves in mind, PROFIT over People, while they FRACK their way into your air and water, poisoning it forever while making you beat your chest ever in their favor–blindly chanting USA! USA! USA!  “We’re number one in pulling ‘natural gas’ out of the ground, using those 596 deadly chemicals to do so, chemicals made by Koch Industires who have bound and gagged the EPA from doing a damn thing about it”… (let alone the “Clean Water Act” of 1973)

President Obama (please vote NO on the Keystone pipeline sir!), to his credit, and his overall administration’s, looks to the new “National Climate Assessment” for some clues as to what this country and world will experience ‘weather wise’ next–a report that should make your jaw drop.  Yet, the republican party wants you to keep your blinders on, or like an Ostrich’s head in the proverbial sand, and just be good little boys and girls, listening intently, if you can do such as thing, to the gang on FOX & Friends, my personal favorite, next to the genius Sean Hannity and “Papa Bear” O’Reilly of course, who will tell you all you need to know, literally spinning LIE after LIE (brought to you by Rupert, “Arrrrghhhhh matie”, Murdoch; owner and ‘creator’ of the horrible news and entertainment medium from hell), in order to keep you locked into what I have been referring to all these years at seacapecod.net–THE STOCKHOLM SYNDROME! This is psychological warfare that attempts to force it’s victims, or the hostages, i.e. 90 percent of the American people, to somehow feel sorry for their captors, e.g. the Koch brothers.  Greedy and powerful Oligarchs, rather Oligarchs’ in waiting, want you to believe that trickle down voodoo economics is beneficial to the middle and working classes, hell even the poor.   Screaming about the liberal, elite drive by media over at say, MSNBC, who are constantly attacking the defenseless 100 billion dollar brother’s ‘freedom’ to rape and pillage the land, air and water for their PROFIT–and thus, by the virtue of being part of the “Benghazi watchdog team” (sheep, I mean Fox viewers actually donating money to these grifter’s campaigns via the tragedy)–it seems that ‘your’ freedom is under attack as well.  All in what a Megan Kelly from FOX would call a ’slippery slope’.  Injustices done to the poor, old rich white guys by taxing them too much, regulating them too much, or talking the truth about them too much.   Yes, by doing all of that they fear we WILL pull the curtain back so WE can ALL see the wizard(s) behind the curtain– you know, the one pulling the congressman’, governors’, senators’ collective strings...We couldn’t have that now could we?

The word is war.  The answer is peace. But the right wing nut jobs did not get the memo and that is why we have a dysfunctional Congress that will only be made worse if, God Forbid, the republicans win back the Senate in the Fall.  It is hard to imagine what kind of austerity measures they would like to impose on the poor ‘American People’ next   .  .  .   Paul Ryan’s 2015 republican vision for the future, the “Pathway to Prosperity” is a cruel joke that tragically does not make people laugh all that much.  Well, at least 99 percent of them.  Much like the traffic on the George Washington bridge, on another September 11th day, this one in 2013, the country ‘ain’t going no where because some people are just vindictive a$$holes!  Just ask New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, he’ll tell ya!  Although it would probably come in a million dollar white washed report from his overpriced lawyer.  Perhaps Bridgett Anne Kelly will speak truth to power, or David Wildstein… Maybe he could gain immunity and tell all, for they are both a perfect example of Stockholm Syndrome in the microcosm.  Just imagine the macro and what a powerful tool it IS on 315 million unsuspecting Americans?  Well, at least half of them.  Shine the LIGHT on these jokers!  Educate OUR people before it’s too late!  They don’t have a leg to stand on when the truth is digested without any processed or chemically altered additives! Did I get my point across?  Ahoy!, is this thing on McFly?  A rainy and raw day here in Hyannis/Hyannis Port, a Thursday, the first day of May, 2014, and I bid you a fine and fair adieu.  I pray the weather is behaving wherever you may be reading this right now, for I fear that weather is no longer a topic of small conversation, no sir, it has become the conversation…

For the past three or four days, the southern states in the U.S. have been hit with over a hundred and fifty tornadoes, resulting in at least 35 deaths.  God be with them and their families, really.  The stronger and stronger storms have turned the attention of many in this country, seeing that these weather events “may” be linked to what 97 percent of scientists around the globe call man made climate change…the other 3 percent are bought puppets by say, “philanthropists” like David and Charles Koch, whose Koch Industries, along with another oil, gas and chemical company, ExxonMobil, have spent 500 million in the past decade to deceive the American public.  Propaganda that attempts to hide the  consequences of their activities on the air, the water, the soil, namely the entire ecosystem as we know it, siding with madness as opposed to reason when it comes to the basic FACT that if WE, as a species, continue to pump all that carbon up into the atmosphere, warming the surface and water temperatures, WE will follow along the path of the Polar Bear. For the seas WILL rise, the droughts will deepen, wild fires will rage, storms will get stronger and generations from perhaps not that far off in ‘time’ will ask, “…wasn’t Vladamir Putin one of those Oligarchs who were only interested in their own selfish ends?  And did the never ending hunger for money and power bring the world to it’s knees, the planet revolting and ‘letting off some steam’? ” The new Global Economy, gotta love it.   “I’m Lovin’ it!  Da!”… (Rosneft’ NK OAO’s newly acquired official statement)

So on this “May Day” in Moscow–”…this isn’t Russia Danny, is this Russia?” (credit the film “Caddyshack”, circa 1980, starring Chevy Chase, and the late greats Ted Knight and Rodney Dangerfield), a day celebrated by many all over the northern hemisphere, bringing in Spring and sending love to workers all over the world, you know, the ‘little people’,  Remember them Republicans?  The “American People”, the vast majority of them?  You knuckleheads!–keep up the pressure for a minimum wage hike for the now majority working poor in this crumbling country, they could use your prayers and love…, by voting for the democratic party in November, and tell a friend!

Perhaps Putin and the rest of the war lords out there can take pause and ask themselves why they are going backwards?  In truth, they are fighting the wrong war. The preservation of the wilderness should be the most pressing issue for ALL nations.  If we don’t, collectively, WE are all pay the price.  Most of that price paid by our kids, grand kids and their grand kids, if we get that far… God, I hope we do.  “Think about it McFly!” (credit the film, “Back to the Future!”, circa 1985).  Think about it.  Have a great day and pray for peace, always.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS!
