Boo!

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 5:05 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the once again, spooky cool and cloudy, misty and murky ‘isle of Nantucket!  Arrrrggggghhh maties!   Great to be with you and yours on this 31st day of October, 2013, Halloween afternoon, just before ‘ye ‘ole sun sets ‘ore ‘ye ‘ole sound, while the ghosts and goblins get ready to take to the night in search of high fructose syrup, dressed up as Senator Ted Cruz, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Bill O’Reilly, the gang from “FOX & Friends”, Senator Rand Paul, Congressman Paul Ryan, Speaker John Boehner, oh, and don’t forget the wicked fun likes of Sarah Palin and Michelle Bachmann, along with that sassy Ann Coulter, yeah, the whole f$%king lot of the crazy far right crew coming to your door in just about one hour from now…I can’t think of anything more frightening can you?  Actually, I can.  Many now call it “The Hunger Cliff” as epic hunger has become a giant problem in this rich nation, you know, that city, shining city, on a hill.  As Chris Hayes (host of MSNBC’s “All in with Chris Hayes“, airing 8 p.m. eastern weekly) reported on last night’s show, the hunger problem in this nation indeed becoming an epidemic.  More and more cuts are going into effect, such as the 5 billion dollar hit tonight because provisions for the 2009 stimulus package expire…a direct hit to the S.N.A.P. food stamp program, not to mention the most modest republican proposal of cutting 4 billion that will affect millions who live (on average) on $133 a month, or $1.50 a meal.  Here are some sobering FACTS regarding the hunger crisis in this country, you know, the good ‘ole US of A.

1. 50 percent of food stamp recipients are children, with seniors making up the majority of the rest.  2. 47 million people rely on food stamps or 15 percent of the population.  3. For a family of four the cuts coming down the line equal 24 fewer meals per month. 4.  The republicans in the Senate want to trim the program in the farm bill (S.N.A.P. being a part of said bill) by 4 billion, with the House republicans wishing to cut it by 39 billion, kicking 4 million people off of the program.  5. Some republicans have tried to spin these cuts as humane, such as Steve Sutherland, congressman from Florida, who said to the Washington Post, “being dependent (on food stamps) makes you more vulnerable.”  Paul Ryan, popular congressman from Wisconsin hinted we were doing the poor a favor stating, “we don’t want this safety net turning into a hammock, that lulls able bodied people into lives of dependency and complacency, that drains them of their will and intentions to make the most of their lives.”  Or this gem, “the one who is unwilling to work, shall not eat…”  So sayeth the LORD!  Oh, sorry about that, it was merely Stephen Fincher, a republican congressman from Tennessee, who must be close with ‘the Lord’ as he raked in 3.5 million dollars courtesy of the U.S. tax payer, via tax payer financed farm subsidies.  Subsidies provided by the same farm bill portraying food stamp recipients as “lazy moochers”.  6. 4 in 10 children who enjoy food stamps live in a household with at least one person working and those who don’t are looking, desperately.  Take for example, a single woman, mother of three.  She has a Master’s degree but just cannot find employment.  If it were not for food pantries and the S.N.A.P. program, most likely these children would go hungry.  7. Because of the sequester food banks and pantries are dealing with a 5 percent reduction in federal subsidies as they see the need increasing due to cuts in food stamps.  I challenge any of the members of the House or Senate (loud mouth cowards) to do a little Halloween experiment…   Have a licensed doctor temporarily (all safe and FDA approved!) remove your ability to remember stuff, like where you live, how much money you are pulling down, how many cars and garages you own, your dignity, basically the essence of what your ego has built you up to believe you ‘actually are’, ha, yes, take all of these gifts from you and cast you out into the dark, into the cold, into the abyss, doomed to an existence of living hand to mouth, soup kitchen to soup kitchen, homeless shelter to homeless shelter, wondering how you are going to feed your children while you struggle to keep the heat on for one more day… Yes, all of this while the television stations keep blaring in your ears, blinding your eyes with illuminating visions of politicians and lobbyists, pundits on cable news shows that never end, who all, in a dejavu kind of way, seem too familiar, yes indeed, as all of this is going on, as you stare vacantly into their dancing eyes, voicing their disapproval of the poor and their plethora of plasma TV’s and refrigerators, those dirty moochers, those ‘lazy blacks’ who don’t want to work, just a handout, you realize that is you and that you should feel sorry for one of your captors, congressman Fincher who was blessed by the plutocratic gods 3.5 million times!  That is what this reporter would enjoy seeing, just for once one of our friends on the ‘right’ come out and say enough is enough!  Feed OUR people, not our politicians!  What say you?  Anyway, have a safe and wicked spooky Halloween and a BIG congratulations to OUR beloved RED SOX, 2013 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!  Well done boys!  Well done indeed!  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS!

Haunted House Health Hearing…

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 12:52 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cool, cloudy, spooky little island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Wednesday morning, the 30th day of October, 2013, the day before Halloween, with the ghosts and goblins on Cape and aforementioned islands, as well as all over New England and the country, getting ready for their big night of scoring lots and lots of candy, well what can I say–have fun and be safe!  On this overcast day here in my loft overlooking the Steamship Authority on the Hyannis Harbor, I am listening/viewing the live coverage of the special oversight committee (House of Representatives) peppering the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services, Kathleen Sebelius, sometimes juvenile and wicked, with questions regarding troubles in and around the rough rolling out of the website, “Healthcare.gov”, the connector of the controversial Affordable Health Care Law, set to go “into effect” on January 1st, 2014.  This is, of course, the touchstone connecting millions of Americans to affordable health care that no longer allows, just one example of the great benefits, the greedy FOR PROFIT health care monopolies to deny and/or drop coverage for individuals with preexisting conditions, the major reason OUR private health care system is so flawed, morally flawed as millions of American brothers and sisters go without what many, including this writer, consider to be a human RIGHT–affordable, attainable, effective health care insurance coverage (not to mention this program is the child of the Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, born in the late eighties, only to evolve into ‘Romneycare’ in the state of Massachusetts in 2006).  Of course, this roll out has been rocky to say the least, giving the far right wing(nut) element of the ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’ red meat to feed it’s flock, bringing up contentions about some of their constituents insurance plans being cancelled, when in fact, they were upgraded to better plans for less money (insurance, not junk insurance, for the millions of under-insured).  The Canadian IT firm, CGI and Verizon share most of the blame for the ‘technical difficulties’ and the administration deserves some blame for such a roll out of a website that only had about an eight month ramp up time.  However, this is not a debate about the LAW, even though the right wants that very thing as they speak of Dorothy and the classic film, “The Wizard of Oz”.  ‘Tis true we are not in Kansas anymore, right Ted Cruz?  What is the kickback from the real “men behind the curtain” who pull your string as you contradict yourself reading Dr. Seuss’s “Green Eggs and Ham”?  The right wing media whores have done a splendid job pulling the wool over many a FOX NEWS viewer’s eyes, ever replacing FACT with blatant lies that not only mislead, but do real harm to their audience, ever begging the question, ‘why on God’s green earth are there not health warnings, like prescription drugs, for watching even a minute of a show like “FOX & Friends”?  When the side effects still include nausea, loss of sleep and internal bleeding, not to mention brain damage.  This hearing is about the website and should be about the FACT that millions of Americans will finally be able to get affordable health care, without being denied because of previous conditions, at reasonable rates with no fear of being dropped, again, because you got sick, or lost your job, or left your job, thus bringing about more freedom for everyone involved.  This program will be as, or more, popular than Social Security and Medicare combined.  For this is protection in most people’s early and midlife where before, it was not, and had it not been for the likes of a great former Senator, the late, great Teddy Kennedy from right down the street here in Hyannis Port, Health CARE in this nation would not have become a reality, for it was a team effort with the great President Barack Obama, and this signature legislation will go down in history as one of the bravest and best victories one could have hoped for in the first African-American President in our young counties’ legacy and that he, Kennedy, was right, that this ‘concept’ of health care insurance is indeed that RIGHT, and always will be.  Heck, just ask yourself Ted, Ted Cruz that is, “what would Jesus do?”  Have a nice, wicked nice, day!  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Pumkin Presence

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 3:47 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cool, breezy, partly cloudy island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this twenty-fifth day of October, 2013, a rather brisk one out there on the Hyannis waterfront, with that stiff breeze blowing in from the north/northwest…  Yes, it is Friday and the news is all focused in on the rolling out of the Affordable Care Act otherwise known as “Obamacare”.  Yes sir with the twisting and turning fortunes of the republican party (favorable rating at a forty year low of 30 percent) as well as the radical and dare I say dangerous, anti-government puppet show (brought to you by a few Oligarchs like the Koch Brothers) known as the ‘tea party’ (favorable rating hovering a dropping to 28 percent), indeed with these ‘fortunes’ all front and center for the world to see, i.e. the disastrous government shutdown and near default on our debts, costing the country 24 billion, eases it’s way out of our collective conscience, oh wait one moment, I must have been mad!  This is not the end of the insanity of said tea party, for it wishes the government, as a whole, to fail, ushering in the new era of corporate owned democracy.  That’s right folks, it’s the Exxon-Mobile ‘Washington’ monument and the Goldman Sachs ‘Statue of Liberty’, for now that the chickens have come home to roost, WE SEA the fallout from the tragic “Citizens United” case where the Roberts court ruled 5-4 that ‘corporations are people too’ (credit Mitt Romney), ushering in millions upon millions into the campaign coffers of men and women who will do their masters’ bidding, i.e. passing legislation THEY approve and indeed architect and blocking legislation, e.g. “Obamacare”, they disapprove of.  This landmark ruling has made it possible that money equals speech, allowing corporations to funnel vast sums to the already gerrymandered districts while they suppress the vote in places like North Carolina and Texas, putting reasonable republicans at risk of losing elections to crazy people like Ted Cruz and the like in the House as well as stacking the deck against the democrats in the general election.  The quaint notion of “one man equals one vote” is going the way of the Dodo bird and the powerful crack like power of campaign ads soak the airwaves, shrieks and lies almost impossible to escape, thus turning this democracy into a plutocracy, or rule by the wealthy, if it isn’t already that already.  Take, for example the Koch Brothers, who spent nearly 260 million dollars in 2012 on negative ads against President Obama’s reelection bid, not to mention his signature health care LAW, with no one knowing just how much they have spent this year with frightful ads attempting to LIE to the youth in this great nation that “Obamacare” is not kosher.  Fiddlesticks!  With a combined wealth of 70 billion, David and Charles Koch can afford this kind of power play, with that number only going up if the Keystone Pipeline is passed, you know that horrible tar sands project that will only serve to bind this country to yet another dirty source of energy, as the earth continues to warm, yes, the ‘Brother’s Koch’, not to be confused with the “Brothers Grimm”, although their fairy tales are just a frightening, will stand to gain 100 billion dollars in real estate and other goodies, making those guys the wealthiest men in the United States, by far.  Pretty scary if you think about it, for these mega polluters are dooming the planet for future generations, as the fracking fluids fowl OUR God given water supply, while the toxic (596 deadly chemicals, all secret) fumes from the wells poison the family whose land it sits upon.  Hmmmmm.  Fifty years ago, three days ago, on October 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy gave a speech in Washington D.C., the Academy of Science I believe, about the importance of empirical science.  Facts that cannot be disputed or used as a political football, put up for sale to the highest bidder.  Back on that October morning our 35th President relied heavily on his “influential science adviser”, Jerome B. Weisner (former President of MIT), a man who helped Kennedy see just how important a challenge it is that we, as a ‘collective species’, maintain our ever present vision on what is truly important–our peoples as a whole, around the world, our environment, our deep seeded motivation to keep progressing towards excellence, ignoring successes and above all remembering and practicing that the realities of Justice, world peace, equality, compassion, charity, patience, kindness, truth and paramount above all, LOVE, for by losing sight of those traits we all have deep down within, we mock God’s great creation, mankind at his, or her best, and that would seem to be the only sin ‘we’ as a species commit.  When we are not aligned with these principals, we are in sin, and thus a nation suffers. Please do not claim to be a follower of Christ, when you cannot SEA that you cannot follow two masters.  Here are those words, Jack Kennedy spoke a month before he left this earthly plane, a great loss.  However, his passion for these ideals are not, nor will they ever be, lost upon a grateful nation and writer at your service…  (thanks to “The Last Word, with Lawrence O’Donnell, airing weeknights at 10 p.m. eastern only on MSNBC).   “It’s impressive to reflect, that over a hundred years ago, in the midst of a savage internal war, the United States congress established a body devoted to the advancement of scientific research.  The recognition then of the value of “abstract science” ran against the traditional preoccupation with technology and engineering.  You will remember DeTocqueville’s famous chapter on why the Americans are more addicted to practical than to theoretical science.  DeTocqueville concluded that, “the more democratic a society, the more will discoveries immediately applicable to productive society confer gain, fame, and even power to their authors.”  But if one were to name a single thing which points up the difference this century has made in the American attitude toward science, it would certainly be the wholehearted understanding today of the importance of pure science.  We realize now that progress in technology depends on progress in theory; that the most abstract investigations can lead to the most concrete results; and that the vitality of a scientific community springs from its passion to answer science’s most fundamental questions.  In a recent speech to the General Assembly of the United Nations, I proposed a worldwide program to protect land and water, forests and wildlife, to combat exhaustion and erosion, to stop the contamination of water and air by industrial as well as nuclear pollution, and to provide for the steady renewal and expansion of the natural bases of life.  The earth can be an abundant mother to all of the people that will be born in the coming years, if we learn how to use her with skill and wisdom, to heal her wounds, replenish her vitality, and utilize her potentialities.  And the necessity is now urgent and worldwide, for few nations embarked on the adventure of development have the resources to sustain the ever growing population and rising standard of living…  We all stand committed to make this agreeable hope a reality.  This seems to me the greatest challenge to science in our times, to use the world’s resources, to expand life and hope for the world’s inhabitants… Ours is a century of scientific conquest and scientific triumph.  If scientific discovery has not been an unalloyed blessing, if it has not conferred on mankind the power to not only create, but also to annihilate, it has at the same time provided humanity with a supreme challenge and supreme testing.  If the challenges and the testing prove too much for humanity, then we are all doomed.  But, I believe that the future can be bright, and I believe it can be certain.  Man is still the master of his own fate, and I believe that the power of science and the responsibility of science offered mankind a new opportunity, not only for intellectual growth, but for moral discipline; not only for the acquisition of knowledge, but for the strengthening of our nerve and our will.  We are bound to grope for a time as we grapple with problems without precedent in human history.  But wisdom is the child of experience.  In the years since man unlocked the power stored in the atom, the world has made progress, halting but effective, towards bringing that power under human control.  The challenge, in short may be our salvation.”  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! U.S. Hostages Freed!

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 1:12 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cloudy, rather mild island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this 17th day of October, 2013, an overcast day here in Hyannis/Hyannis Port as WE all breathe a sigh of relief after 16 days of hostage negotiations came to a head as the U.S. Senate took to the floor on Capitol Hill last night, voting 81-18 to reopen the government and raise the debt ceiling.  Of course, this took some courage by the democrats as they fended off this list of demands by the Koch/and other Oligarchs’ owned far right wing(nut) plank of the republican party (list provided by MSNBC’s great Rachel Maddow, her show airs at 9 p.m. eastern M-F)… 1. defund “Obamacare”   2. delay “Obamacare”  3. delay individual mandate  4. deny coverage to the President  5. deny coverage to the Cabinet  6. deny coverage to congressional staffers  7. deny birth control coverage  8. approve keystone pipeline  9. means testing for Medicare  10. change federal employee pensions  11. expand oil drilling (on public lands as well)  12. block net neutrality  13. tax reform  14. weaken regulations for coal-fired plants  15.  tax code changes  16. thwart EPA coal-ash regulations  17. repeal medical device tax  18. change rules on debt ceiling…  To which the democratic party stood their ground and simply said, “no”.  “I think it’s wrong to extort money from the college to support your parade ‘Carmine’.  “If you mention the word ‘extortion again, I’ll have your legs broken.” (quote from the great 1978 film, “Animal House”, starring the late, great John Belushi).  That’s right folks, EXTORTION is not a part of the democratic process, nor will it ever be.  At a 24 percent approval rating, coupled with the tab of at least 24 billion dollars (paid for by the “American People” you claim to want to ‘help out’ with deficit reduction) the republican party would be a lot better off ridding themselves of the far right wing extremists who came close to hurting this nation a great deal all in the name of ‘a non-violent revolution’ that would put the likes of a David Koch as King of America.  Again, that did not happen, as last night the Senate, that’s right the U.S. Senate, with the able guidance of Senators’ Harry Reid (D-NV) and Mitch McConnell (R-KY), passed a bill to re-open the U.S. government (until January 15th, 2014) and pay it’s debts (raising the debt ceiling) until February 7th of next year.  During that time period, both parties will hopefully come together and develop a budget, such as the one the democrats have already agreed to, coming close to the 946 billion number floated by the republicans recently, yes, agreeing to a budget before the 11th hour that will keep U.S. from living one crisis to the next.  You might think the republicans would heed the polls, especially considering next year is an election year that could spell a democratic takeover of the House of Representatives, or put a big dent in it nonetheless.  This would be the ‘prudent’ thing to do, “I’m looking at you Ted, “the Lizard King”, Cruz”, the over educated Senator from the great state of Texas who has become the new poster boy for Heritage Action, Freedom Works, Americans for Prosperity and all of the other corporate pirates who are licking their lips at the next hostage negotiation.  Yes, this insane grouping of 30-40 ‘tea party’ zealots in both chambers of congress will probably opt to keep obstructing anything this great President, Barack Obama, wishes to accomplish for the tried and true American citizenry over the course of the rest of his second term in office, thus sealing a legacy that will be hard to match in this century or the next–you know, looking back in the LIGHT of factual history that gives anyone without blinders 20/20 hindsight.   So again, congratulations to the leaders in the Senate and the House, with thanks again to President Barack Obama, who proved that, in the words of another President, “…We don’t negotiate with terrorists”, even figurative ones, although many might say literal if you added the word ‘economic’ in front of the word terrorist.  Have a nice Thursday folks and I’ll talk to you again right here at seacapecod.net.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M

October’s Red Dawning…

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 1:56 pm

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cloudy, breezy, rather mild island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Friday afternoon, ’round 1 p.m. eastern, the 11th day of October, 2013, Columbus Day week end, as most seasonal hot spots, including the dock here at the famous “Baxter’s Fish and Chips”, close for the season Monday night…not to worry, they will be back next spring!  Of course, this was not due to the government shut down, now in it’s 11th day of ‘operation’, as many are beginning to feel the pain of this manufactured nonsense brought to you by the Koch brothers’ influence (and other shady billionaire operatives) over 30 to 40 congressmen and women who represent the “tea party” nut job wing of the ever popular republican party whose approval rating hovers at an historic low, unprecedented low, of 28 percent.  Yes, that’s right!  28 percent! Couple that FACT with 70 percent of the American electorate frowning on this republican shut down of the federal government, hurting children, seniors, military personnel and their families, tourism and it’s economic boon to various private companies who service those folks in most regions of the country, via U.S. monuments, parks and seashores, along with countless other tales of hardship brought on by the furloughs of at least 800,000 federal workers from sea to shining sea.  The republican establishment seems to be running for the exit door when the word tea party is brought up.  Yes, there does seem to be a real shift happening as I write these very words.  Ironically, your friends and mine, billionaires David and Charles Koch, of Koch Industries are sailing a yacht as far from the shores of Senator Ted Cruz and the rest of the manufactured tea party (funded and secretly run by the Kochs who funnel monies into said ‘grassroots’ organization via fronts like “Americans for Prosperity” or “Freedom Works” to the tune of 236 million dollars just since the inauguration of President Barack Obama–January of this year–instructing their minions and puppets in congress to do what they ARE doing right now) as they can.  Noted publicly yesterday when granted an interview to Reuters, an exclusive interview, here on Cape Cod where they own a big ‘ole mansion(s) and lots of stuff!, “…..Ahhh, ummmmm, errrrrr, we here at Koch Industries know nothing of what you speak of when you say we would want to default on our national debt, and certainly embrace the fact that we can’t do a damn thing about “Obamacare”.  We did not instruct people like U.S. Senator Ted Cruz to, not to mention the other help, I mean, elected representatives from both the House and the Senate, yes, we did not instruct those good folks to effectively shut down the government and are quite outraged at the insinuation that we have.  I, David Koch, along with my brother Charles did not have secret meetings in Palm Springs early this year to do everything we could to defund and repeal every word of the Affordable Care Act, now a LAW, while simultaneously doing the same to the EPA, the Department of Education, the SEC and any other agency that stands in the way of OUR profits!  This all while we turn Social Security into a privatized system, gut Medicare and virtually eliminate Medicaid.  We will also, I mean we would not have been talking about ridding the “American People” of the S.N.A.P. program of food stamps, take away the W.I.C.K. program to feed underprivileged babies the nourishment they need, as well as any other government program (such as “Head Start” for kids). Never, ever, doing anything to hurt or disrupt programs designed to help the ‘least of US’.  All while embracing the new Citizens United 2.0 where our friends can donate as much money as they want to the candidate of their choice.  You know, my pals at the club(s) in Osterville, Palm Beach and Aspen.  We do have a heart you know!”    So as our plutocratic pals partake in staying out of the limelight, leaving that dirty job to their employees in the House and Senate, the stalemate continues with some light at the end of the tunnel as the markets force these clowns into submission before they push U.S. all over that fiscal cliff.  God help US for it is truly now a world economy as WE ALL begin to SEA we are in this together–from dollars and SENSE to the fragile climate that is not the property of Exxon-Mobile.  Although you would never know it as the big polluters continue to spew filth into the atmosphere, raking in record profits.  Indeed using said biosphere for a wide open toilet that is killing thousands of species of plant and animal, soon to be man, as the seas continue to rise… Fight back America! Don’t turn on FOX “NEWS”, side effects still include, but not limited to, brain damage, loss of vision, nausea, stupidity, ignorance, false sense of self, grandiosity, intolerance, bigotry and partial loss of the soul.  Have a nice week end folks and be safe out there ‘amongst the English! PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M

Stockholm Syndrome

Filed under: Blog — Michael @ 8:27 am

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cool, sunny, beautiful and tranquil island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Tuesday morning, a little after sunrise as you see below you (Hyannis Harbor), the 1st day of October, 2013, a stellar day out there and if you plan on visiting the Cape today from say Indiana, make sure you ’sea’ the Cape Cod National Seashore because, what?  It’s closed?!  The republican nut jobs did what?!!  They shut the bloody country down over the implementation (ironically today) of the Affordable Care Act (LAW)?  Those bastards!  That’s right folks, just like a little, mean spirited fat kid that no one likes, a true spoiled brat, the far right wing faction of said caucus has managed to shut the federal government down, the U.S. federal government at midnight, by far the largest employer in the country, sending 800,000 workers home, including the FDA and NASA.  All public parks and landmarks, from Yosemite to the Smithsonian Institute to the Statue of Liberty will be closed, services to the elderly such as ‘meals on wheels’ will be curbed as well as services to children such as ‘head start’, along with other agencies that act as the glue that holds this nation together.  All for what?  To make an ideological point that NO one worth their salt on the GOP side of the coin is in favor of?  That’s right, Senator, or should we say de facto “Speaker of the House” Ted Cruz of Texas got his wish to be the biggest douche bag in the room, opting to hurt America as he does his master’s bidding–i.e. certain unnamed plutocrats who, should I divulge their names could be viewed as a lack of discretion, The KOCH BROTHERS!, founders of “Americans for Prosperity” (at the expense of 99 percent of the ‘little Americans’), want to turn this nation ‘of the people’ into a nation of ‘of the corporation’, a nation where there exists no regulations and no taxes, a nation where the letter of the LAW need only apply to those making under 10 million dollars a year (just ask the big CEO’s of the big five banks in this country, they’ll tell ya!), while the oligarchy rapes and pillages the land for their own profit margins, all while using said government for subsidies, e.g. oil and farming, subsidies for themselves, while it cuts off social programs for the masses such as S.N.A.P., creating a chasm so wide between the haves and the have nots one needs a GPS device just to navigate between the two points…  Did you think ‘ole Ted there was working by himself?  Come on media outlets!  Get the REAL story.  Of course this need not apply to the likes of FOX “NEWS” where the good folks over at ‘ole Rupert “arrrgggghhhhh matie!” Murdoch’s station employ the Stockholm Syndrome daily, urging it’s viewership that they should feel sorry for their captors, indeed look upon a Ted Cruz as a hero, while they struggle to put food on their own tables (note the chain on the frog’s ankle while he offers his monster captors some nice flowers).  The goal of the media today should be this– I want to see the man behind the curtain, I want to see the wizard!  (and expose them for who and what they truly ARE!) Well, I am sure John Stewart of “The Daily Show”, not to mention Steve Colbert on “The Colbert Report”, congratulations by the way on the Emmy!, will have a field day with this one, as we head off into the unknown with the raising of the debt ceiling in three weeks or so, i.e. paying our bills!  Pay attention to that man behind the curtain, ask yourself what is the end game with these jokers, these slobs of society, whose only goal is to make more money than GOD!  WE will SEA about that won’t we?  Have a nice day folks and keep on keeping on, for it is always darkest right before the dawn…  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
