Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the beautiful, sunny, mild island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Saturday morning, the 23rd day of March, 2013, a gorgeous one out there, I tell ya!  For Spring has finally arrived on Cape Cod and the great aforementioned islands…  We had, if you care to know, about 8 inches of snow yesterday, but with the sun’s glorious return, those cold days seem to be waning away forever.   It is funny how spring can spark a lover’s eyes, a sparrow’s mating call, or that same LOVE WE ALL share deep down inside.  Of course, you won’t hear this on the news stations ‘of the day’, save perhaps MSNBC and all of the good folk such as Rachel Maddow, who works the anchor at TRMS (9 p.m. eastern).  However, in end, you will hear it on the airwaves of a different kind–KIND being the operative word.  I plan this morning, to watch “Hubris”,  a book written by the great news man Michael Isikoff and the awesome David Corn, and printed into FACT only on MSNBC.  It is the story, a documentary, of the Iraq War that no one seems to think about anymore.  Myself included.  It was a decade I spent at war as well, just on a different front.  I pray you watch it as well, so that we don’t EVER get involved in such a waste of human life.  That is not what WE are here to do–wage wars to line our pockets! Great to be with you and yours on this St. Patrick’s Day, the 17th day of March, 2013, a day that began with a gorgeous sunrise over Hyannis Harbor, ushering in a day that many Irish, myself included, will celebrate the great Saint aforementioned, St. Patrick, as he drove the snakes from Ireland many moons ago…  Of course, this is the dawning a new day, and moments for the church of the Catholic variety, for a new Pope was named this past week, a man from Argentina, who speaks of peace, LOVE and the words of Jesus, his words spoken over 2000 years ago, when he said, and I quote, “…what you do UNTO the least of US, you do unto ME.” I speak of this for one reason only, reason and salvation itself. For to go against the tide is as futile as going against the WILL of GOD. I pray you and yours have a Happy St. Patrick’s Day and remember those less fortunate than you, for in the end, WE are ALL ONE, and that my friends IS the FACT. So embrace IT, cherish every moment, and be ONE with the ONE who created YOU to begin with.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M

Great to be with you on this Tuesday morning, or afternoon, if you prefer, the 12th day of March, 2013, a day set aside for the SWANS and DUCKS you see above.  For it is proof that the old cliche, “birds of a feather, stick together”, does not always hold up to reality or to the water test–as the Congress, President Barack Obama and the Senate try and bring their different ‘opinions’ in line with the TRUTH as to what is really the right thing to do.  I am heartened by the fact the ‘detente’ may, God willing, be on in full swing, looking to Ashley Judd for some guidance on this one–God’s speed to the new Senator from the great state of Kentucky! A hope that who knows where it will end, or begin? Have a great day folks and keep on practicing random acts of kindness, for all of the people I have called friends, lovers, and colleagues across the decades and acres of this great land both here and abroad will forever be in my heart. Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the now–after some wicked storms have passed–the sunny, rather partly sunny island of Nantucket! Great to be with you once again, on this Monday afternoon, the 11th day of March, 2013, a day where the sun is shining once again.  Temperatures in the 40’s, yes sir, after a week or so of tumultuous storms that began via “Super Storm Sandy”, followed by the “Blizzard of 2013″, only to be ’salted in the wound’, by the worst weather I have seen in decades, a no name Nor’easter that dropped more raindrops and storm surge than perhaps that “Perfect Storm” of 1991, where the great author Sebastian Jungar wrote about said storm, as it took some good men out to sea in a low pressure system that met with the ferocity of the ever melting Arctic…I suppose Senator James Inhofe (R-OK) was correct when he famously proclaimed that, and I quote, ‘global warming is the greatest hoax ever played on the “American People”.  Well, I KNOW it IS all par for the course, as all of US look upon Washington, D.C. for answers to some very simple questions. WE cannot look to the pundits, politicians or priests to give US the real answers, as it all seems, and IS, based upon brinkmanship, special interests, not the mention who ‘right’ and who is most clearly wrong. WE all know what I speak of here.  “Lawyers, Guns and Money”… Am I wrong?  Or did I just like that song, sung so many moons ago?  When did we care for OUR fellow people?  Perhaps one should revisit the great film, circa 1998, “Saving Private Ryan”; starring, amongst others, the great Tom Hanks and Matt Damon. SEA-ing what IT IS that WE are all striving to find–the TRUTH. The TRUTH about solving the debt this country racked up, via sick tax breaks for the wealthiest among US, waging two wars in the interest of the military industrial complex and giving tax loopholes, one could run a Mack truck through to corporations that did not need a “hand out” to begin with.  Well, if you feel there was a real answer there, the, to quote another line from Tom Hanks, there is a real problem here Houston!  When we care more about corporate welfare, as opposed to social problems such as the growing number of homeless children in this very rich nation, I say unto you again, there must be a problem with those who deny Christ his fair due.  I pray to God on High that these idiots in congress can reach a deal with a great President Barack Obama.  For if they do, it will be a benefit to them in the next cyclical election.  Have a wonderful day folks and week ahead, and may I take a moment to thank you for all of your wonderful comments from every corner of the globe–they mean the world to me… PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the once again, rather soggy island of Nantucket, although, not as harsh as it once was…  This is March the 3rd, 2013, a Sunday and I wish you all well, not only to you, who may have read this blog from ‘time to time’ from around the world, and I sure do appreciate that, but to YOURS–for that is the whole point of the exercise…  ?ARE WE? As Americans and stewards, as we say, to the world, acting as such? Or just acting as children in a game of brinkmanship, full of testosterone, but lacking in integrity, grace and honor for all concerned, not to mention the whole point of the said exercise–LOVE!  An example: Take the voting rights ACT of 1965 and how many wish, via gerrymandering, in many states in this great land ( won’t mention names or political affiliations), attempting to ruin what many died to protect, such as great men like Martin Luther King, Jr. or Robert Kennedy, Jr./.   Reverend Al Sharpton, of MSNBC marches once again in Selma, Alabama in defense of this RIGHT~!…  God’s speed once again sir!  If you look at it hard and honestly, you can see the ghost of Jim Crow attempting to throw US backwards into an age before Lincoln, and beyond…a day, long gone by…. I beg you all to WAKE UP to the FACTS–for global warming will, whether you like it or not, WAKE that FACT UP to you.  Let US stand with reason, not delusion.
