Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, cool, gorgeous island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this 29th day of November, 2012, a Thursday morning, on this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age, and what a day, not a cloud in the sky.  Many of US out there are wondering, hmmmm….what will happen on 12-12-12, perhaps something good, perhaps something bad, but whatever it IS, it will be something to behold, for the SHIFT is on and those who are truly AWAKE to what IS and what is not will rejoice, those who don’t well, won’t…  Just some food for thought, have a great day and I will SEA you here tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel…  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M

Take Heart!

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the soon to be snowy island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Monday morning, the 27th day of November, 2012, abound with a feeling of Christmas in the air, as we may get our first flakes falling soon…  Hope all is well with you and yours and your Christmas LIGHTS are going up, for here on this little sand bar, created 11,500 years ago by the LAST GREAT ICE AGE, are coming forward, as is this country.  WE all know that the words of the late, great Jimmy Stewart, from the classic film, circa 1946, “It’s a Wonderful Life”, are true and trusted as yesteryear…“every time a bell rings, and Angel gets his/her wings”. Thank God the silly season, the REAL silly season, of politics are over, for the moment, and WE can all gather together, on one table, under God, indivisible, with LIBERTY and JUSTICE for all. I know that I might sound like a bumper sticker, but, truth be told, it is a sentiment WE ALL hold dear in OUR collective hearts, be you republican, democrat or independent– a sentiment, a something, that was stated so well by a ‘future dentist’ in the epic story of Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer in the year of 1964…  So take heart, enjoy everyone you meet, for you never know who might save your life someday. It is a mystery, and an honor, to write this little ‘message in a bottle’ to you and yours when I am fully awake, for you, by reading it, saved this humble reporters life.  SEA you tomorrow, same bat time same bat channel! PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M

No commercial interuptions…

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cool, crisp, sunny, blue skied island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours once again on this Sunday morning, the 25th day of November, 2012, as I was ‘busy’ taking some time off from writing and politics in general, after an exhausting election, results either great or disappointing depending upon your point of view…  As you can SEA above, this little Maine Coon kitten is getting ready for the holidays, as Christmas, Passover and Hanukkah are right around the corner, yes, that’s right, “…it’s the holiday season” once again and here on this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age, the Lights are out in full force, from Hyannis to Chatham, Osterville to Nantucket, and WE will once again celebrate the Peace and Love that make this season shine so bright.  Here on the Cape and Islands there is a tradition of “Christmas Strolls”, where the communities of the small hamlets that adorn this great part of the country come together and celebrate the sentiment of the season, hopefully with no commercial interruptions. Hope all had a good Thanksgiving and I also hope you have a blessed Sunday morning.  SEA you here tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M

Thank you GOD!

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the breezy, rainy, rather foggy island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this 7th day of November, 2012, the day after, so to speak, where OUR great President Barack Obama won his second term, and  became an icon to ALL who will mostly likely go before him.  For if you take a moment to REAL EYES the FACTS, this man is the Jackie Robinson of our times, for he has shown the way in so many respects, respecting women’s rights, gay rights, health care in general, and the longing for a bipartisan solution to our never ending problem with the House Representatives, who can’t seem to get out of the way of what AMERICA really needs, i.e. solutions for the 99 percent of US who do most of the living, dying and building in these here parts…  My heartfelt thanks to Mitt Romney, who showed a whole boat load of class when giving his concession speech last night, for it must have been a blow and for him to give a blessing to OUR President, showed courage and a sense of who he really IS.  So again, have a good night sleep, to all of my political pundits out there, for you TRULY deserve that…  Oh, and by the way, congratulations to Elizabeth Warren, who is first elected woman Senator from this great state of Massachusetts. SEA you tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M

Detente?

Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cool, crisp, partly sunny, beautiful island of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this Friday morning, the second day of November, 2012, a relatively cold start to the early seven a.m. hour here in Cotuit, ‘where the ocean meets the wood’, looking above you at the “Mariner’s Chapel” on Main street above the trees that are “all the right height” as we look forward to this most pivotal election for this young 236 year old nation, a nation founded upon some simple, yet powerful principals, none so much as the right to VOTE, and in only five days, every citizen must exercise that RIGHT to vote no matter what intimidation tactics may be used by some far right wing nut extremists who wish to turn the clock back on women’s rights, minority rights, social safety nets (such as Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, Planned Parenthood and FEMA) among many other rather insane ‘ideas’, bringing US backwards and adding to the burden of a shrinking middle class and working poor, while those at the top of the food chain continue to get unfair tax breaks, i.e. the Bush tax cuts of 2001 and 2003, tax breaks that lead to the lion’s share of the debt our great President Barack Obama inherited from said past administration.  It was heartening to SEA a good man, in the form of republican governor Chris Christie board “Marine One” with said President only a few hours ago, surveying the devastation that New Jersey’s beautiful shore endured, with millions still without power, not to mention those poor 70 plus souls who lost their lives in Hurricane Sandy’s wake, as well as the estimated 50 billion dollars in damage from that super storm that also ravaged New York City, Long Island, much of Connecticut, West Virginia, among other states.  To hear the praises lauded upon our President by Christie was not only inspiring, but proved that both “sides of the aisle” can, and must, work together for the good of the common man or woman–for that is why they were placed in office to serve the begin with.  Hat’s off to you Governor, you are a gentleman and a scholar!  So the next time you hear someone like a Mitt Romney state he would privatize FEMA, the federal emergency management agency, putting it the ‘capable’ hands of say a Bain Capital or some other special interest group, throwing it back to the states and in effect saying “you are on your own”, just remember they don’t have your back, they only have their own in heart, bank account and soul in mind, that is, of course, assuming they still have one (heart and soul) in tact “at this juncture”.  Have a wonderful week end folks and please VOTE on November 6th, only five days away, for it is paramount to our success as a nation, a nation that can, and will, bounce back from some rather dubious moves the previous administration put on a credit card.  Bon Chance Mr. President, Bon Chance indeed! PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Peace~M
