Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the brilliantly blue skied island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Monday morning, the thirtieth day of January, 2012, a stunningly beautiful early morn’ on Cape, Cotuit to be precise, ‘where the ocean meets the wood’… Looking up, you see the “Mariner’s Lodge”, a place of gathering for local Masons, commonplace to this land, where hard work, honesty and FAIR play rule the day, in a ‘time’ that has passed US by seemingly, yet has it?  This is precisely what the election of 2012 is all about–fairness and some attention to ‘the American People’ (credit Mitch McConnell, R-KY) for a change, as opposed to the interest group that Washington D.C. most assuredly has become.  In Florida this morning, you would be hard pressed to not be engulfed in a Tsunami of attack ads mostly going on between the two front runners’, Mitt, “politics ‘ain’t bean bags my friend”, Romney and the noted ‘historian’, ’she turned me into a Newt’ (credit the classic Monty Python film, “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”), Gingrich who hold 42 and 27 percent of the republican Floridian primary vote respectively.  Mitt seems to have found his ‘fighting’ voice, getting all testy and what not, with poor Newt falling by the way side, losing 17 points since just this past week.  Not hard to see why, as the vicious ‘Citizens United’ television, radio and Indian smoke signal Ads keep on rolling along, knocking down Newt to the size of a real life Salamander, with most of the republican elite, such as Peggy Noonan and George Will, climbing aboard to join in the ‘fun’.  Don’t worry though, this fun will continue until tomorrow, as that state gets ready to vote their ‘conscience’ and throw all of that faith towards a man who wills this country to share in his warped, deluded, and dangerous plutocratic vision that has none of, or 99 percent anyhow, the American people’s best interests at heart–Good GOD, please help US now! Have a wonderful day folks, steering clear of the wooden nickles offered up by FOX “NEWS”, as the side effects can be severe and include, but not limited to, nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, cramps, bloating, diarrhea, and delusions of grandeur.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the cool, sleety island of Nantucket! Great to be with you on this Thursday morning, the twenty-sixth day of January, 2012, a rather gloomy one on Cape, at the eight a.m. hour, looking for those azure skies you see above you on the little ‘far away’ island of Nantucket, an island thirty miles due south/southeast of Cotuit Bay on Cape, as I walk in my Herringbone suit up the little path on that island of Nantucket that leads one out to the Brandt Point Lighthouse, ‘the lighthouse with nine lives’, as the natives once coined, being blown down and rebuilt at least nine times over the centuries–the Lighthouse in general being a critical navigational tool in the 17th, 18th, 19th, and well into the twentieth century, guiding vessels of all shapes sizes (and ‘value’), back to the safety of the harbor, where it is said over and over again, ‘a rising tide lifts all boats’… I am a little sentimental this morning about old Nantucket, because my long awaited novel, “Taking Fog to Nantucket” is coming out in an ‘epub’ or Ebook by early next week (with hard copy books available soon), and will be available as well on other sources of purchase besides this humble site named and dedicated to the SEA and it’s preservation. The book, you will read, is a thrilling tale to be sure, bringing to light and real life some interesting social trends that are happening right now, because they all seemed to have happended to me to some degree, as in increasing job losses, white collar, as I was, as well as blue, to which I had plenty of as well, but moreover, it speaks to a real journey of the soul, that had to take place in order for this human being to heal.  For it deals with blunt trauma to the head via a mindless assault, addiction, family issues, unresolved childhood or other wise, and brings some light to the myths that surround the ‘fog’ of alcohol, both what it is, ‘it’s’ progression, and what it can lead to if untreated.  The book explores police brutality from the perspective of a ‘witnesses viewpoint’ and the ever increasing use of that violence on our generally very peaceful citizenry, thus, bringing forth a whole chapter on PTSD, or post traumatic stress disorder, severe delayed onset (from mine and others’ perspectives, such as soldiers), a real invisible disease that many of our veterans face daily, and turn, ironically, to the use of alcohol and other drugs to cope with their issues, a real problem this society needs to deal with, but quick, for these veterans deserve no less!!  All of these issues have been brought to light now, in the year 2012, as evidenced by the recent OCCUPY ‘demonstrations’ taking place across the planet, condemning this GRAND CANYON that most assuredly is growing by the day between the haves and have nots of the world, with the rigged system of the ‘new world order’ of global ‘free market’ capitalism gone wild taking center stage over the GREATER GOOD, in “their” ever chanting words and actions of profit over people… The book also gives a biography of my own journey through that corporate world, as an ‘adult’ and as a child as well, yes, a journey into this ‘corporate life’ I led, living in twenty three places before the age of 18, ending up in England where I finished out high school in Surrey, then on to Nottingham to attend college for a year, before coming home two and a half years later to the United States, where I became a ‘patriot’ again, being an expatriate for far too long–a truly wonderful experience, and at the same time opening my eyes as to just how great this country truly IS.  One thing the book is not, is a downer, for it does offer hope and hopefully some light on some pretty tough issues.  So, I welcome you to take a gander at it, and thank you in advance should you decide to take that roller coaster ride…it has been told to this reporter that, by anyone who has already read it–“It IS  a ‘page turner’ because one just never really knows where the book is going to take you next…from the 37th floor of the John Hancock Tower working as an executive at the prestigious and powerful Marsh and Mclennan in Boston, to looking back up at that same tower as a homeless man living at the Pine Street Inn only 17 years later.” Some food for thought and some grim reality of how it truly IS for some in this country of ours and how appropriate I suppose, as this nation takes a good hard look at the TRUE state of the union, or gets the opportunity to in the coming months leading up to this epic election, and hopefully WILL see that it needs a whole lot of fixing, structurally that is, to return to her former greatness.  Have a nice day folks and keep on dodging those wooden nickles from FOX, but be sure to tune in to the 501st republican debate being held somewhere tonight, I am assuming Florida, as that is where the next republican primary is to be held, Tuesday, a big must win for either Romney or Gingrich, for it may very well decide, oh, hell, I don’t have a clue who is going to win this thing, do you Mr. Will?  However, the smart Irish money is still on Romney…  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Great to be with you on this Tuesday morning, the twenty-fourth day of January, 2012, another mild one on Cape, as WE, at least those who stayed up until midnight watching the republican debate hosted by NBC last night, recover and get ready for the ‘Other Voice’ in this nation’s annual “State of the Union Address”, given, of course, by the President of the United States, Barack Obama, a very FINE President I might add, offered up at 8 p.m. eastern standard, in this nation’s Capitol, Washington D.C., a kind of, well, ‘come to Jesus moment’ if you will for everyone who has some stake in this country, i.e. 311 million souls. That includes ALL of those souls, even those who make less than the ‘historians’ and the occasional ‘outside businessmen’, like ‘our friend’, the winner of last night’s debate in Florida, the next battle ground primary fight for the republican nomination, Mitt, “hey, I saved the Olympics, did I not?”, Romney…, a speech that will focus on the glaring economic GRAND CANYON that exists today between the haves and the have nots, a canyon that did not exist to the degree it does today only fifty years or so ago, begging the question, what happened?  An unfair, rigged, thus, self fulfilling system is ‘what happened’, in so far that “IT” (plutocratic delusional visions of grandeur) insures the rich do get richer and the poor, well, go can, for lack of a better word, go (blank) themselves!  We live in a world where corporate domination has literally taken hold of our humanity, with only a few at the very top gaining all of the advantages from all of the plundering done to this world on a daily basis, and as the planet’s temperatures continue to rise, due to all of the carbon thrown out into the atmosphere daily, with no regard for OUR kids or our grand kids futures, a FACT whether you AGREE with it or not, we will some day scratch our collective heads and say, man, why did we not act when we could have?…or, perhaps, WE will finally WAKE UP and smell that proverbial coffee, knowing that solutions exist BECAUSE we are ALL part of the oneness that IS GOD. Great to be with you and yours on this Monday morning, the twenty-third day of January, 2012, here in Cotuit, ‘where the ocean meets the wood’, on Cape, LIVE, digging out after seven inches of the white stuff, at this rather late eight o’clock hour on the east coast.  Are you ready for some football?  I suppose, if you are like this reporter and much of the nation, you are recovering from an overload of excitement yesterday, as the San Francisco 49ers lost to the New York Giants in a thrilling game that will send them to play the New England Patriots, who were also victors yesterday in their win over the Baltimore Ravens, beating that team on a lucky break by way of the ‘foot’ in ‘football’, with the kicker missing the field goal that would have tied the game in the fourth quarter, as both of those teams will be meeting in this nation’s favorite ‘final game’ of the football season next week end…Superbowl XXXXVI!  Of course, you may have completely missed that number one story in the country this past week end, if you are also a political junkie like myself, who can’t get enough of this republican race for the President of the United States of America, with the beat just going on into the night, as in tonight, with Brian Williams of NBC NEWS hosting yet one more debate at “Rock Center”–9 p.m., eastern standard…  Newt, “I’m appalled at these questions regarding open marriages”, Gingrinch won the South Carolina primary on Saturday with 40 percent of the overall vote, as Romney, quickly fading in the eyes of many conservatives, as a real leader who actually CARES about said ‘American People’, picked up 29 percent of that critical vote, with many pundits now concluding that this race just might be end up being decided at a brokered convention in the coming months, serving up perhaps a Jeb Bush, as hard as that might be to conceive ‘at this juncture’… Have a wonderful day folks and week ahead, keeping clear of lies and propaganda offered up by the likes of a FOX “NEWS”, choosing rather to enjoy the beauty of this amazing country of OURS, or, as Mitt would say, “America the proud, the free, the, what was that fuc%king line again?”…  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Great to be with you and yours on this Saturday morning, the twenty-first day of January, 2012, a beautiful one on Cape, if you are like this reporter, who enjoys a good snow storm on occasion, looking out onto Cotuit Bay, ‘where the ocean meets the wood’, as the snow gently falls on the ‘ancient path’ that leads down to those hallowed waters…  What a few days it has been yes?  The United States of America is about to merge with the reality it cannot live in a bubble, much like Japan realized hundreds of years ago in that, even though it’s people lived on an island, it was not, really, an island, as it turned out, unto itself…it is connected, just like WE, the citizens of this nation, and world, will be forever so.  “SOPA” (stop on line productivity altogether) and “PIPA” (please Google), two pieces of legislation that were up for a vote in Washington D.C. this past week to supposedly stop on line ‘piracy’, yes, thank the LORD above, those ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ bills written by some pretty evil people were postponed yesterday by the House and Senate amongst a world wide protest as it would have amounted to creating CENSORSHIP of OUR free speech under the ‘guise’ of on line piracy, and is just another example of how the republican elites want to control thought, speech and behavior, such as a woman’s right to choose, thus, on par with the whole ‘voter fraud issue’ (really voter suppression via new tough voter ID laws), that has become a real, laughable red herring for anyone with half a brain.  Hats off to Google, Wikipedia and others who brought this to LIGHT yesterday by blacking it out, for if this nation loses it’s ability to speak it’s mind without fear of ‘punishment’ from tyrannical individuals who don’t play nice with others, then, like the XL Keystone Pipeline and it’s contribution to carbon dioxide output, ‘it will amount to lights out for our democracy’… Stay strong America, hell, you’ve got another republican debate coming up on Monday night, bringing more of the crazy as these ‘friends’ of ours continue their fight into South Carolina today in the country’s third primary of the year… Go Newt?  Have a nice day and rest of the week end folks, keeping clear of wooden nickles offered up by FOX NEWS, side effects, as always, include blurred vision, nausea, cramping, hot flashes and a desire to jump off the nearest bridge.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Great to be with you on this Thursday morning, the nineteenth day of January, 2012, a gorgeous one out on Cape, spinning back from a tour of Osterville a few moments ago, as seen above, and as that crescent moon followed me all the way home to Cotuit, ‘where the ocean meets the wood’, I thought the world might like to sea what real American ingenuity looks like, here at ‘Crosby Yacht”, where the famous‘Wianno Seniors’ are still made, wooden sailboats that once carried our thirty-fifth President of the United States, Mr. Jack Kennedy, and his beautiful wife Jackie, up and down the Nantucket Sound in the equally beautiful town of Hyannis Port, a place ALL Americans should visit someday.  Well, what can we say here at seacapecod.net in response to the world wide boycott of the newest scam on Capitol Hill, a bill cloaked in ‘piracy’, but transparently attempting to curb FREE SPEECH.  You see, the congress, made up entirely of puppets who do their masters bidding, those with a little ‘r’ next to their name anyhow, have been duped into shredding the Constitution even more than it already has been, by introducing a bill, hence the Google boycott yesterday, among others, that would make it harder for the piracy of copyright material, for intellectual property to be infringed upon.  The problem with that noble idea is that it is a wolf in sheep’s clothing, for what it REALLY wants to do is take away the Internet from the U.S. citizenry, much like in the film, ‘Good Morning Vietnam!’, where a group of mindless censors take out what they don’t like in the REAL headlines of the day…take out all of the politically charged TRUTH from a blog such as “Michael’s Blog”, and turn it, the Internet, into just more mindless programming offered up by the likes of “Clear Channel”, ironically named mega media corporation, who owns most of the airwaves in this country of ‘ours’.  Think about FOX NEWS for a moment, on, all the time, 24/7, bringing the propaganda and insanity so that no one can truly FIND the TRUTH, thus having complete and total power over the majority of American lives, along with their thoughts and the way they tend to vote… “1984″ all over again my friends… Hats off to the Obama administration yesterday in stopping that horrible tar sands pipeline, the Keystone XL pipeline, running from Alberta Canada, through 15 states and out the door of the already damaged Gulf, as that nasty, ‘lights out for the environment’ (according to 99 percent of climatologists out there), mixture of carbon and chemicals that will spell doom for future generations to come should it be allowed to pass through OUR lands, claims 120,000 jobs will be created–HORSEHOCKEY!  Most experts say it will create about 2500 jobs.  Since when did killing our environment become OK as long as it creates all of these sacred energy ‘jobs’, why are they sacred cows?  You, Speaker Boehner, are an IDIOT and a puppet of the highest order!  This is the greatest example of PROFIT OVER PEOPLE, for this is not ‘energy independence’, this is a remake of the television series, “Dallas”, as the high stakes grifters of big oil keep on screwing ‘the American People’ (credit Mitch McConnell, R-KY). The, ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’, is all up in arms over this, tied, Stockholm Syndrome style, to the payroll tax cut fight coming up in February, as big oil is pushing down on them hard, for they OWN them, to get this grift in play.  Experts have concluded that not only will this spell doom for our world’s overall environmental health, but it will increase gas prices in those states that it is ‘trespassing’ on, as the Canadians will skirt the oil and gas refineries in the Midwest, choosing instead to just pump it all to Texas, sending it out to the open market, where a few greedy souls will make BILLIONS, while our kids and our grand kids will see the world’s environment go down the toilet.  “Hope it’s a nice coffee shop Jack!” (credit the classic film, “Midnight Run”, starring, Charles Grodin and Robert De Niro).  Enjoy the beautiful day wherever you are as well as the circus current(v)ly going on in South Carolina, where our ‘friend’, Mitt Romney, is expected to win despite the fact that no one likes or trusts the man.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Great to be with you on this Tuesday morning, the seventeenth day of January, 2012, a Cape that looks, as I take a gander out of my office window, as if the rains have finally subsided, much of the fog and wind on Cotuit Bay remains, seeming to indicate the weather system that just passed us by will not bring any significant snow fall ‘atol, of which, the Cape has only seen at Christmas… Well folks, we had another wonderful republican debate on national television last night, I forgot, no, strike that, I could not care less who hosted it, but I learned all about the fun on ‘Morning Joe”, the best morning news show out there, even with co-host Joe Scarborough’s obvious disdain for left wing, progressive, hippy, tree huggin’ bastards like myself, who see this rigged (from the inside and from outside of D.C., hence the stench!) ‘free market’ nation of ours as a BIG JOKE!  This REAL life, voodoo, corrupt, capitalistic (on steroids) system, ‘gone wild, abandoning reason for madness’ we current(v)ly have right NOW in a so called ‘democracy’ of 311 million people is floundering and in need of some good captain-ship…yeah, I sea it being exposed for what it IS real soon, with ALL coming to their senses about just how many REAL people are hurting and hungry out there…“Bueller, Bueller, anyone? anyone?”–credit Ben Stein and the classic film,“Ferris Bueller’s Day Off“, picking up on the fact that the ‘American people’ have ‘left’ the building as it were and are no longer interested in your thoughts on Bush Seniors’ ‘voodoo’ economic arguments, for as the people of this country WAKE UP, even if they were drooling on table moments ago and coming out of their illusions, they will see with ‘real eyes’ for the first time in their collective lives that this whole thing is nothing more than high tech gambling with no morals AT ALL, brought to you by the wizards over on Madison Avenue.  It is HIGHWAY ROBBERY, buoyed by a well placed and nurtured Stockholm Syndrome, propaganda news stations, and then, manufactured shocks after manufactured crisis, that only reinforce the LIES they have been telling ‘the American people’ all along, i.e. ‘leave it all up to us sharks, nothing to see hear folks!’, (duping them into voting for people who do NOT have their best interests in mind), just so they could keep them in LINE and get their MONEY! Remember all of those manufactured ‘terror threats’, with the oranges, yellows and reds!  Pure chance, or real threats?  Hell no!  Pure manipulation, fear mongering with the drum beats of war for a WHOLE decade so as to MAKE a population bend to one’s WILL.  World domination of the where all that OIL is, namely, in and around Iran.  Be that as it may, on that fine show, airing every weekday morning, starting at 5:30 a.m., with ‘way too early’, hosted by Willie Geist, then going on with the whole crew until 9 a.m., only on MSNBC, today we all discovered what we already knew…Mitt Romney will be, 80 percent chance, the next republican nominee for the highest position on planet earth, as social conservatives throw up their hands and get on board with a man (Mitt Romney) who only a week ago said ‘I like firing people’, as in Jon Huntsman, who dropped out of the race only yesterday afternoon, quickly backpedaling and ‘getting on board’ with the ‘plutocratic program’…for that is what it truly IS folks, an all out fight to ‘take this country back from liberal do gooders who believe in a social, welfare state, a country truly of, by and for the PEOPLE, not the corporation.  A country of service to others, the greater good and harmony with all living things, as opposed to pure free market, sometimes predatory, vulture-like free for all’s, where vicious companies can destroy, or KILL, at will, with no one there to do anything about it, for if those corporations truly ARE people, people with no culpability or responsibility, then who is to say if John Lithgow and Stehpen Colbert were right about old Mitt, I mean, where does one draw the line with that kind of absolute power, for does not absolute power corrupt absolutely?  If a company like Koch Industries, or Dick Cheney’s Halliburton, ‘the bane of the Iraq War‘, in their never ending quest for $$$ coming from the fracking of shale rock in over 34 states now (hydraulically fracturing the rock deep below the earth’s surface to allow the natural gas they seek to escape and be captured, then sold on an international market, my friend, shot with high pressure water laced with 596 deadly chemicals, coming to New York City soon!, check it out if you are at least a little concerned Sean!), poisoning and blowing this whole nation’s ecosystem apart, leaving one big eye soar at a time, scattering thousands of abandoned, leaking, poison dumps all over this great land–virtually destroying our clean drinking water FOREVER!  ‘Natural gas’ IS the new energy boom for billionaires like David and Charles Koch, who live in my town right here in Osterville, Massachusetts.  Yes, and I can assure you that if these clowns believe that they will be placing 596 unregulated, deadly chemicals into the Delaware Water River Basin to begin fracking the whole of upstate New York and Pennsylvania, due to some large ‘find’, at OUR expense, for THEIR profit, they have another thing comin’… WE will NOT let this thing happen without a fight (as that poison DOES kill people, wildlife, and plant life, we have the proof!), for seacapecod.net and the rest of the WOKEN UP world will not only cry foul and call you out on being environmental monsters, you will eventually be stopped by a force much greater than myself, and certainly much stronger than you, for without your money, you would not last a day on the streets of Detroit, you CHUMP!… Yet, I can hear them now, echoing off of the cold Atlantic waters, ‘we’re doing it already, it is far too late!… Where the U.S. federal government has been gamed by the seemingly millions of special interest lobbying firms working for corporations that OWN them, and, therefore, as logic would dictate, DO their bidding.  If this is all true, and it IS, then logic would also dictate that a real democracy cannot thrive very much longer.  No politician, save Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, Congressman Barney Frank of Massachusetts, and a handful of others, is interested AT ALL in doing ‘the American People’s’ bidding, a cliched talking point started in earnest by ‘our friend’, Mitch, ‘the mouse’, McConnell (R-KY), who cares as much for those 150 million Americans at or below the poverty line now in this late year of 2012, as he does for the science behind GLOBAL WARMING, telling US all how he, his new pal ‘Mitt’, the poster child for corporate America, and perfect puppet for the plutocratic ‘vision‘, if I do say so myself, and the rest of the loony tune crowd in the ‘not your grandfather’s GOP,’ is going to ‘get America back to work’, cut out all of this ‘wasteful, runaway, government spending’, etcetera, etectera, ad nauseum, continuous talking points that professional sharks (honest apologies to real sharks everywhere in the world, stop the slaughter) like Karl Rove, Frank Luntz, and others, you know, hired guns, republican strategists, that have clinically proven, via focus groups and other methods, spending millions on the research, proving that if you say something enough times, “the right KEY words, or phrases, or ‘talking points’, as they call them, over and over again, they own their subject matter’s overall psyche, and thus, their VOTE and loyalty… you will come to believe it to be true, especially when they got you, 99 percent of the true AMERICAN PEOPLE, out of work, under water, lacking health care, lacking food, lacking clean water, and living in FEAR!  Yes, my ‘friend’, that is where a Mitt Romney wants you…John Lithgow, you are a genius. That man is, of course, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., who was cut down in his prime by the bullets of hate and intolerance during the turbulent decade that was the 1960’s, a problem that still exists today, but has dissipated slightly over the course of the past four decades since King’s death, as evidenced by the fact we have a very fine President in the White House today, named Barack Obama, the first African-American elected to that highest office in the land, and, hopefully, will remain there, as we gear up for the most provocative and important elections this country has ever seen–a fight for the very heart and soul of what this great and proud nation once stood for above all else, ‘Life, Liberty and the pursuit of happiness’, a nation that is in need of some real TLC and a break from an obviously rigged and fraudulent ’system’ that rewards only a few, with 1 in 2 Americans now, in this year of 2012, at or below the poverty line, 150 million real PEOPLE! The American public has, through no fault of their own, been largely unaware and ignorant of the ‘quiet rooms’ (credit Mitt Romney), where folks like a Mitt Romney plan to turn this country into one big Walmart, with a giant bill board reading, ‘corporations are people too my friend’, followed up by, ‘where do you think all of that money goes?  Back into the people’s pocket’…yes sir, that is a direct quote, and LIE, from Mr. One Percent, the face of Wall Street, ‘America’s CEO’, Mr. Mitt Romney, who will most assuredly be the republican nominee to go up against Barack Obama this Fall–a very clear choice for all Americans who are beginning to wake up to some sobering FACTS about what has REALLY been going on for the past three decades at least, as CEO’s have gamed the system, rigging it to the point, if they are elected back into the Executive, where a very real highway into poverty has been created by the plutocratic vision for millions and millions of Americans– becoming ‘the new normal’, the norm, as guys like ‘Mitt’ make 85 million on one deal at Bain Capital alone, with the help of Indiana tax payers I might add, another example of corporations making money FROM the people’s money.  Either you ‘believe’ corporations have hearts, souls and feelings or you don’t, it is that simple. Can’t have it both ways Mitt old buddy. Large multinational companies are interested in one thing and one thing only–making MONEY, not creating a more ‘perfect union’, so please, for the Love of GOD, keep that in mind on this day where WE recall those immortal words of that great man, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., ‘WE shall overcome…”. Great to be with you on this glorious Sunday morning, a nippy one out, as the temperatures on this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age, dipped into negative territory, as I made my way out onto the deck to look at all of the stars adorning this little town of Cotuit on Cape, ‘where the ocean meets the wood…’, a town full of history that some of our ‘leaders’ in and out of Washington D.C. should look into some time, before, of course, the Internet is taken over by ‘corporations are people too’ (credit Willard, ‘mitt’, Romney), thus, finishing the job of destroying the Constitution of the United States of America, especially the most important ‘American right’, the right to FREE SPEECH.  Like it or not, that is where we are folks.  I applaud Rick Perry for calling out Mitt Romney, the ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’ candidate by default, for who and what he really IS–a man who believes in the concept of ‘creative destruction’, which is ironic, for I thought all Mormons believed in Jesus Christ with their whole heart, above and beyond ‘earthly desires’, such as greed, and the LUST for money…!~!! But, of course, we all have nothing to worry about, I’m sure the wizards on Madison Avenue will be on the up and up when it comes to speaking the TRUTH, money equaling speech and all now, or, following one of God’s commandments, ‘thought shall not LIE!’…  Cherry pickin’ in January, gotta love it!  Hats off to the Steven Colbert/John Stewart effort ‘This week‘ (ABC), both names spelled, of course, with soft ‘t’s’, in their all out attack on super pacs (political action committees, fueled by the Citizens United Supreme court decision in 2010, a decision that deems corporations as ‘people’ too and thus, can ‘donate’ as much money as they want to the puppet of their choice…dooming our country if something is not done to stop the obvious misjudgment by the highest court in the land, can someone say CONFLICT OF INTERESTS?), a real stand in South Carolina to get the word out ABOUT super pacs, or, again, these ‘political action committees’, designed, of course, to promote and make into fruition the ‘donors’ WILL, not the will, it turns out, ‘of the American People’, or at least the majority, 99 percent of them.  Yes sir, by golly, hats off indeed to both Jon Stewart of ‘The Daily Show’, whom I guess, Roger Ailes of FOX NEWS does not like all that much, pity that, and Mr. Stephen Colbert, getting the word out that dirty, filthy MONEY in politics in the United States of America in this year of 2012– move on par with giving the keys to the big, bad wolf, keys to the hen house that is, as those who do not know the price of a gallon of milk PROVE to ‘the American People’ once again that they are really all that concerned about ‘the greater good’...  GOOD LUCK IN 2012!. Great to be with you on this Friday morning, the thirteenth day of January, 2012, another quite mild one on Cape, as New England braces for much colder temperatures this upcoming weekend, with snow now blanketing the Midwest and north country, bringing some sanity back to our weather patterns for the ‘time’ being.  Yes, the day at this eight o’clock hour on the eastern seaboard looks just as it did a year or so ago, looking out onto an image of the Kennedy Compound with our friend Joe Gargon, who was best friends with the late, great Senator from this magical state, Teddy Kennedy, growing up on these beautiful streets watching the big world spin by, not knowing his friend from childhood days would become ‘the Last Lion of the Senate’, a deserving title, let alone his other buddies from that same family becoming the actual President of the United States, as did Jack Kennedy, as well as the United States  Attorney General, the third brother, Bobby Kennedy, men who would change this world forever, a FACT regardless of your political affiliation today.  Chris Matthews, of “Hardball”, airing weeknights on MSNBC at 5 and 7 p.m., just released a great book on this extraordinary man, “Jack Kennedy, elusive hero”, a book seacapecod.net highly recommends, so pick up a copy…!! These men who guided this nation in the early 1960’s, heading off nuclear war and all, were also lucky and graced with a tremendous amount of strength and Love coming from their mates in life as well, such as Jackie Kennedy, who made the White House what it IS today, along with Eunice, Jack’s sister, who recently passed.  A woman of such conviction and light (starting the Special Olympics among many other great causes), that to dare speak a lie to her, would be to double dog dare fate to snap that tongue clean off.  Flash forward to the year 2012, a year far different than the image, timeless still, you see above.  Lying is just a way of knowing that a candidate is alive and well, breathing, in today’s U.S. political game.  The method one should employ to ’sea’ and KNOW in your heart if said candidate is lying to you, is by employing your own eyes to see that his mouth, or her mouth, is clearly moving up and down, creating some sort of a sound…therefore, by definition, giving one the answer to the riddle.  Yes sir, in 1960, the year Jack Kennedy was elected to the highest office in the land, this very street looks just the same, only the era and thus, the players have changed, and what a group of ‘players’ we have 52 years later!  ‘The liberal drive by media’ must have struck a nerve with the establishment of the ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’, for everyone from Rush Limbaugh to Anne Coulter, Bill O’Reilly to Joe Scarborough, are crying a foul, ‘no fair!’, ‘out of bounds!’ when it comes to BAIN CAPITAL (please Google history/financial/layoffs), yes my friends, they are shocked, shocked I say, that people in their own party would question the wisdom of the concept of ‘leverage buyouts’, wherein, a corporate raider like Bain Capital, swoops in with it’s piles of cash to ‘take over a company’ that is in trouble, fiscally, usually saying it is there to ‘help’, but, as the story usually goes, ‘the best laid plans’…22 percent of Bain Capital ‘restructuring projects’ failed, leaving thousands upon thousands without jobs.  And jobs are not what Bain Capital, Mitt Romney’s legacy, or any other leverage buyout raider firm, are all about–like the picture that is worth a thousand words of Mitt and all his pals at Bain Capital with the money stuffed in the pockets, shirts, pants and mouths in some cases, “it’s all about the MONEY!” These are not job creators! These are job eliminators who will, if elected, god forbid, like Marie Antoinette of France, parlez vous a$$hole?, tell it’s starving dumbfounded citizenry who just elected him into office, god forbid, to ‘eat cake’ or ’suck it’ as they decimate anything in this nation that does not MAKE MONEY for THEIR plutocratic cause, i.e. all of our social safety nets, our environmental safeguards, our financial safeguards, hell, even our air safety!  Isn’t that right Senator James, “global warming is the greatest hoax ever played on the American people”, Inhofe, (R-OK), you maniac pilot you!   Ponzi schemes?  Power pyramids plutocratic visions from hell?  The great Pyramids of Egypt got nothin’ on these guys! Great to be with you on this Thursday morning, the twelfth day of January, 2012, a rain soaked sand bar to be sure, as a giant swath of moisture coming up from the south blankets all of Cape Cod at this present moment in Doppler radar green, marching it’s way north, providing the first real snow fall of this young year in the great states of Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine, with parts of Massachusetts, western, getting some of the white stuff as well…skiers and snowboarders rejoice! Taking a day off from the world of politics and the conclusion of the New Hampshire primaries, where, as predicted by seacapecod.net, Romney did win and will, as he is already there, go on down to the Palmetto state of South Carolina and try and pull some more wool–pulling wool over ‘the American People’s eyes’ that is… Yes the great state of South Carolina, one of our first thirteen colonies, will be hosting the next republican primary, in a heavily republican state, with everyone from Newt, Paul, and especially Huntsman going after Romney’s ‘noble’ business experience with Bain Capital, with many calling his ‘job’ on par with being a large vulture that takes what it can from a dead or dying carcass, without the decency of burying it.  Perhaps a little harsh, but your company, Mitt, was not interested in ‘creating jobs’ now was it?  Tell the truth, was it really? Truth is that company was all about ‘restructuring’ so the people at the top made out well, at the expense of others, nothing NOBLE in that Mitt.  A FACT proven by that fine photo you and your buddies stuffing dollar bills into your shirt pockets during some photo, a Christmas party perhaps?, op at the raider corporate ‘reorganizer’ called Bain Capital, nice. Old Mitt will tell US all how we should change this country back before it’s too late, what?, via his millions upon millions, could be a billion before all is said and done, of outsider contributions from God knows where, perhaps China?, called ’super pacs’, political action committees that are above the law, yes, via all of these poisonous ads that will be filling OUR airwaves 24/7 over the course of the next 10 months or so, Old Mitt will try and portrait this ‘family man/business leader’ image as ‘one of US’, you know, worrying about a pink slip when he still had pimples. Give US a break Mitt, ‘corporations are people too’, ‘I like firing people’, or “Mr. One percent”, take your pick America, for that is the truth as to who you are toying with electing.  Mitt Romney’s message is nothing more and nothing less than the lies told by cheap salesmen many moons ago, just on a larger scale of course, during the nineteenth century, a century Mitt and his pals would like to take US all back to.  ‘A snake oil salesman’, (my friend) , selling products or ideas that are simply unethical and bad for the general good.  And a salesman is what you most definitely ARE, for you wish to GIVE this country over to the big special interests groups that are destroying it (PROFIT OVER PEOPLE), i.e., multinational corporate conglomerates, as they rape and pillage our air, water and land, create rigged financial legislation (that no average American is going to go over with a fine tooth comb), via the politicians they BUY, and finally create a true caste system of the haves and have nots, (the Plutocratic vision) in what seacapecod.net calls ‘the Grand Canyon effect’, covering several different levels of concern (if you catch my drift), all while convincing these saps that a vote for ‘Romney’ is a vote in their own best interests…HORSE HOCKEY! Shiver me timbers, it’s great to be with you on this tenth day of January, 2012, a grey, rainy affair on Cape, with some light snow expected in the Granite State of New Hampshire this eight a.m. hour, as the nation’s eyes look towards the “Live Free or Die” state of fierce independent voters who have changed the course of this nation’s history via the ballot box many times in the past.  This ‘race to the bottom’, i.e. the ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’ presidential nomination process has become quite the side show, with the world of art and entertainment, much like science and religion in this day and age, colliding with politics right before our very eyes.  When a writer goes to a movie exec to pitch a script in Hollywood, many times they will analogize their movie with some other movie or movies, or a combination therein, thus, making it more apt to be picked up by that movie exec and made into a great film.  In this case, the case of the never ending campaign to see who is more to the right of the ghost of Ronald Reagan, we have “Pretty Woman” meeting “Office Space”, for who can deny, Mr. “I enjoy firing people” (taken slightly out of context, as Romney was speaking to insurance companies, but who really says the word, ‘fired’ on a national stage like that, and with such glee?), or Mr. “one percent”, or Mr. “corporations are people too”, Romney, the front runner and most likely winner of today’s New Hampshire primary taking place right NOW, yes, who can deny that like Richard Gere’s character in the former film mentioned above, a man much like “Mitt” was (and still may be), a corporate raider, Mitt Romney’s core ‘job’, unless he was running for office somewhere at sometime, has been to fire people and make money off of their PAIN?  Now it all makes sense. Taking a break as an ‘outsider’ politician in Massachusetts, where he served as governor, as well as other times when he was in mourning for his various political losses (Teddy Kennedy in 1994, and his failed 2008 presidential bid to John McCain), Mitt Romney was hailed as the successful CEO of Bain Capital, no one can deny that, a corporate raider that buys companies, breaks them up for profit, leaving thousands without jobs, while the principals (Mitt Romney, estimated worth 250 million) make out like bandits…bandits who meet up with their brethren in the hilarious film about the corporate world of which this reporter was part of for far too long, a MUST see film called “Office Space”, where a two man group of ‘consultants’, hired by a Mitt Romney type, or hell, it’s your movie, why not make it Mitt Romney himself, come into some Silicon Valley company and have people ‘interview’ for their jobs, calling themselves, ‘efficiency experts’, with those experts asking some naive, scared employee just barely holding on, “tell us, what is it exactly that you do do around here?”… That is what a, god forbid, President Romney would bring to the table, a wealth of KNOWLEDGE on how to FIRE people, for real, not like some clown on a television ‘reality’ show, no, firing real people who work for the departments’ of labor, the environment, education, transportation…until, like Grover Norquist stated so maniacally, “we shrink government (of, by, and for the people) down to the size where we could drown it in a bathtub.” I believe the PEOPLE of this great land are beginning to WAKE UP to the reality of just how greedy, shady and corrupt most politicians are, ’serving’ in a system oozing with slimy lobbyists who only have their corporate CEO’s best interests in mind–CEO’s just like good ‘ole Mitt, a man truly ‘of, by, and for the corporation.’ Have a good day voting New Hampshire, and WE here and seacapecod.net will see ya’ll next time, same bat time, same bat station, not to be confused with the bat $hit station of FOX, serving up that steamy pile of horse$hit since 1996–isn’t that right Rupert? arrrrrrrgggggghhhhhhh matie!’ .  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the clear, cool, blue skies of Nantucket! Great to be with you and yours on this Monday morning, the ninth day of January 2012, another, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, stunner out there on and off Cape, with seasonable temperatures, bright blue sky above and just a whisper of wind, the same weather you see this runner on the streets of Hyannis Port enjoying this morning, former home to our thirty-fifth President of the United States Jack Kennedy, his beautiful wife, Jackie, and the rest of his amazing family, including his brother Bobby and the youngest brother, the late, great Teddy Kennedy, who used to walk this very street on cold winter morning such as this one, where normally during these winter months you ‘ner but see a bunny, feeling the solitude, yet never feeling alone… The weather is the same in New Hampshire, just a little to the north and east of Cape Cod, this nine o’clock hour, as the candidates digest their breakfast and head out onto the old ‘campaign trail’, meetin’ all kinds of nice folks from the Granite State, one of the most beautiful states in the country, with Romney, Santorum, Huntsman, Paul, Gingrich, and Perry winding their way up through the Franconian Notch, a spectacular mountain pass where ‘the old man of the mountain’ (a granite face in the pass resembling an old man that fell a few years ago, an iconic emblem of New Hampshire, as it adorns the state’s license plates) once stood, a scenic road to be remembered that leads one into the small, quaint New England town of Littleton, yes, right now, as I write these words, I imagine they will all be up there in God’s Country, buying up all the memorabilia and maple syrup they can, clappin’ hands and singin’ ‘America the Beautiful’ and…,no, wait, hold the phone, strike that, I apologize, that is highly doubtful, naive, and wishing just a little too much from human nature.  This morning, as we all know, at least those covering politics, will be spent reviewing the polls, all 1500 of them, analyzing them and making a game plan going forward as a direct result of them–everyone looking at “Mr. one percent”, Mitt Romney, who owns the already done deal at 40 percent, with Rick Santorum falling (perhaps looking ahead to South Carolina?), as he squanders his ‘win’ in Iowa by arguing with a high school student about gay rights?, are you kidding me? While Paul’s numbers drop by four percentage points, with New Hampshire voters already having had quite enough of those ‘types’, angry old white men wandering around the various coffee shops all over the granite state, muttering to themselves about ‘how big government is’, while they pick up their Social Security check, a check that was not available to their ‘forefather’s’, back in 1930.  Huntsman–who had a very strong debate performance on Sunday morning, a real home run for NBC, MSNBC and the whole crew over there, with David Gregory, moderator of “Meet the Press”, doing the best job as a moderator since the days of Walter Cronkite–is beginning to surge, making it just that much more interesting, becoming the new ‘must watch TV’, as reality television meets up with a version of a ‘celebrity rehab’ group therapy session.  Huntsman made an obvious, but powerful, considering the setting, statement on Sunday.  A statement directed at “corporations are people too”, Romney, at that early Sunday morning debate in Manchester, New Hampshire, a retort after Romney made some comment about Huntsman’s opinion of our current President the day prior, President Obama, whom Huntsman worked for as the Ambassador to China until recently, a positive comment about his ‘extraordinary leadership’, with Romney implying he was being somehow ‘disloyal’ to the ‘republican brand’ (give US a call here at seacapecod.net when you finally figure out what that ‘message’ to ‘the American people’ TRULY IS), with Huntsman sniping, “…that is exactly what is wrong with the American political system today”, paraphrased a little to emphasize his larger point, and that being that the partisan bickering in Washington D.C. IS what PEOPLE are tired of!  They simply want a leader who will work for THEM, not for the corporate interests who have hijacked this nation, while simultaneously manipulating that nation into feeling ’sorry’ for the very plutocrats (Google Stockholm Syndrome) who wish to be in charge, permanently, a small minority of wealthy industrialists who somehow think they can run roughshod over the entire electorate (308 million strong!) without some kind of a back lash, especially considering our history as the greatest democracy in the world–the PEOPLE will be heard, despite CITIZENS UNITED! Bush and the horrible debacle that WAS his administration, yes sir, that old strategy of dragging someone through the mud, demonetization, seeing how successful it was on John McCain in 2000, as well as the former Governor of Texas, Anne Richards, who was beaten by a very green and pretty dumb George W. Great to be with you on this Saturday morning, the seventh day of January, 2012, another beautiful one on Cape, experiencing a sunrise only moments ago as the stars faded away for another day, giving way to the clarity of the sun rising over Cotuit Bay, ‘where the ocean meets the wood’… Of course, this image, as with most of life, is only partially ‘real’, for today, in early January, there will be no snow of any kind, nor temperatures to warrant it, and as the Antarctic ice sheets continue to disappear from the face of planet earth, popping the cork as it were, allowing for the ancient glaciers to pass on into the relatively warm open ocean, a process that is being repeated all over the planet, from Greenland to the Polar Ice Caps, with every glacier now slipping away into oblivion, even in the high Himalayas, as the world’s natural air conditioner, ICE, is melting faster than Frosty the Snowman in a hot house, begging the question, ‘what are these clowns going to be talking about tonight at the next’, number 47 I believe, ‘republican nationally televised debate anyhow?’.  When Rick Santorum wants to get real about Jesus and his teachings, he can pick up a copy of “A Course in Miracles” and get to work (although he may want to quit his day job of being a rodeo clown puppet for the plutocratic cause of PROFIT OVER PEOPLE, because to read and apply that KNOWLEDGE might put a crimp in his political aspirations), short of that, why don’t you shut it! Put a lid on your empty hor$eshit rhetoric as you take Jesus’ words out of context for political gain–it is sickening, as you spit on the poor and promote evil plutocratic intentions DESIGNED to exploit the very people JESUS would have you SAVE Rick!  Yes, as they all jockey over one another to see who is more to the right of the ghost of Ronald Reagan himself, for that ghost is a fiction of what Reagan would have stood for in this ‘day and age’, thus, like the Bible itself, his words, or ‘our’ assumption of what he would or would not have done in any number of hypothetical situations…, are manipulated to meet the political need, political expedience at it’s best, therefore newly reinterpreted and used as a weapon of sorts, a weapon of the mind, used by the ‘powers that be’, at this moment in ‘time’, using as they (the one percent) see fit, thus govern accordingly.  In this example of 2012, the ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’ wishes to take back the country to the year 1888, the gilded age, where women had next to no rights, slavery was abolished but we still had Jim Crow, sexual orientation was not even on the radar screen, and older Americans were “left, as Franklin Delano Roosevelt put it, or rather put an end to ‘it’, “out in the cold”… Is that what this country really wants?  Rather, do 99 percent of ‘the American People’ want that?  (credit republican talking point #4007 to our friend in the Senate, Mitch, “I just gotta be me”, McConnell, hailing from the great state of Kentucky).  The power of the corporate owned airwaves, coupled with massive amounts of cash/capital coming into the election cycle from anonymous sources, via ’super pacs’, or ‘political action committees’, thanks to the 2010 Citizens United case, could spell doom for the United States of America as we know it today.  For it will be making those corporations as powerful as people, strike that, much, much, much more powerful than one mere mortal, as they can wield these vast fortunes far and wide, influencing as they go, spreading their lies and saturating what people see, hear, and feel on televisions and radios that they are engaged with, not to mention other wireless devices, seemingly 24/7, giving the republican strategists, and the plutocrats who hire them, I’m lookin’ at you David Koch!, a CAPTIVE AUDIENCE to mold in any way they desire, creating an ignorant, fearful, broke, hungry, unhealthy, overweight, angry, misinformed, and much maligned general electorate, who are, ‘mad as hell’ (at somebody, to whom ‘Crossroads/GPS’, ironically named I know, will tell them who to be ‘mad at’, and ‘who to vote for’, closing the loop) brainwashing their audiences on say a Fox News to take it out on the Kenyan born, socialist who wishes to put US all in Sharia law or some other such NONSENSE–yes, the power of those corporate owned airwaves is no laughing matter and should be closely examined in the near future, should this country wish to remain a democracy.  Par for the course, really, a few wrinkles here, a few wrinkles there, but truly still on course for putting perhaps the greatest ‘rep’ corporate America has ever seen in the Oval Office in 2012 (God Forbid), next to Ronald Reagan of course.  Yes, that’s right folks, don’t be shy, let’s give it up tonight, and tomorrow morning on MSNBC, good luck stormin’ the castle boys!, (credit Billy Crystal and the classic film, ‘The Princess Bride), for the man of the hour, Mr. One Percent himself (to wit he takes great pride in, modestly stating ‘he is not Mr. One percent, he’s unemployed!’ What a nut! Kooky kid!), the man who needs no introduction, the man without a country, so to speak, or at least the man without a permanent mailing address because he can’t find the keys to the winter house in Maui, let’s give a warm granite state welcome as we give it up for, Mitt, “corporations are people too, my friend”, Romney!  The new front runner (odds on Irish betting darling to win the nomination, but lose the general) is well hated by Newt, Perry, Santorum, Huntsman (I thought he said they were friends on Facebook?, awkward!) and most of the red meat tea party crowd out there, so we will all be watching, simultaneously wondering where we could purchase a groovy polo plaid, like that smock you have been sporting all year now… like the concept of you being President, that shirt don’t fit, nor does it even look good on you!  Go back to what you are comfortable with, $5000 dollar suits and buying companies so as to break them up for profit–pure capitalism. Great to be with you on this Friday morning, the sixth day of January, 2012, a cold morning on Cape, as some snow left it’s mark, ever slightly, on the mainland and islands with ‘just a taste’ of the good January moisture.  Slim pickins’ these days for a real winter wonderland around these here parts, but I know it ‘ain’t global warmin’! cause the good folks over at FOX “News” tell me that’s all a bunch of hooey!  Heck fire, if it weren’t for all of that hot air coming out of the mouths of say a Chris Mathews, Ed Shultz, Reverend Al Sharpton, ‘a’ Rachel Maddow over on that commie station MSNBC, or, god forbid, a Keith Olbermann (star of the show, “Countdown, with Keith Olbermann”, the best news hour on television today, airing every week night at 8 p.m., eastern standard, re-airing at 11p.m., 2 a.m., 7 a.m., noon, and three the next day, only on CURRENT TV, home to real, honest to goodness journalism, journalism Walter Cronkite himself would be proud of), yes sir, if weren’t for those folks and the lefty pinko stations they work for, we might just get some snow ’round here!  ‘Yes sir, by Golly, if it were not for all of that monkey business those folks talk about, all the time, like how the republicans, good real men like Rick Perry, or Mitt Romney, or even Rick Santorum, want to create a caste system that serves the plutocratic elite, the ‘job creators’ (more like the new slave owners), creating a system that continues to expand that Grand Canyon gap between the haves and the have nots, thus insuring, via a rigged overall system that is now on steroids thanks to Citizens United, and, moreover, insuring, by destroying public education, higher education, i.e. KNOWLEDGE=POWER, is allowed only to children of those in that elite 1-2 percent in this United States of America, insuring their continued survival and indeed acceleration, as they have seen their ‘incomes’ go up by almost 300 percent in the past thirty years, while the average American citizen ‘worker’, no longer a human being but a number, has seen his or her wages remain stagnant, going down in many cases, and with the few jobs remaining, the republican legislators with a little ‘r’ next to their name have succeeded in creating a 1930’s like Robber Baron scenario, as well as a Stockholm Syndrome (a phenomenon where the captives, i.e. 300 plus million people, American, begin to feel sorry for their ‘captors’, i.e. global banks, energy corporations, insurance conglomerates, ‘natural gas’ profiteers, the list goes on and on, via Madison Avenue wizardry depicting “Natural Gas wells safe for the environment”, one example of thousands, endless advertisements on countless products and services, with live ‘preserve the wilderness’ video feeds of ducks floating by with impunity, horse hockey! This, with the ‘captors’ playing a game that does NOT have it’s captives, the people who vote in the likes of a Mitch McConnell, best interests in mind, AT ALL!  For how could they??  They’re CAPTORS!  Hello, is this thing on? Brilliantly keeping it’s “captives”, ‘the American people’ , under the rule of law set up by puppets who were elected by plutocratic interests, very powerful multinational interests, to keep a great majority of Americans in the dark and controlled, as those ‘American people” continue voting (via propaganda brainwashing machines like FOX NEWS, Rush Limbaugh and the other haters on television and radio today, you know who you are!) in people who want to keep them down, controlled, and certainly not FREE!  Where the likes of a Koch Brothers can BUY elections, such as the upcoming attempt in 2012 to elect Mitt, “corporations are people too”, Romney, god forbid, and, if they can’t buy the Executive this time around, will settle for bought Senators that will most likely take over that government body, making it ever more difficult to accomplish anything of value in Washington D.C.–for said (republican talking point used ad nauseum by that aforementioned Senator, Mitch, “my mother was a hamster” –credit Michael Palin once again and a film by that talented British satire group hailing, of course, from The United Kingdom, Monty Python’s Flying Circus, a film named appropriately “Monty Python and the Holy Grail”–McConnell, R-KY) the American People…, ‘yup, that’s why I always vote republican, I don’t want to get any crazy ideas or anythin’ like that, I prefer my ignorance to be left in tact, far away from common sense, all encompassing set of human principals and values, a sense of fairness, or equality for ALL as per the instructions of OUR creator him or herself! Great to be with you on this Thursday morning, the fifth day of January, 2012, a cold overcast one on this early winter a.m., as you look out onto Hyannis Port, former home to one of our greatest President’s, Jack Kennedy, his beautiful wife Jackie, and his brother’s Teddy and Bobby, not to mention his mom, dad, grandparent’s and his sisters!  Perhaps the most noted being Eunice, who championed Special Olympics events all over the world, as she bravely brought forth awareness to the growing number of children in this country who have either physical or emotional challenges.  She pioneered world wide awareness of how difficult these ailments can be for these kids, spurring forth new research into Autism for example, with much more help needed.  Not to mention bringing forth attention to the parent’s who are raising them, and all the struggles they too go through, for they are human beings as well.  Our health care system is deteriorating throughout many states in this country, especially for poor and working class women, i.e. the closing of Planned Parenthood centers in many states because 3 percent of their activity somehow, in someway involve abortions, not federally or state funded mind you.  Planned Parenthood being mostly preventative medical help for women, therefore, knowing all of that, I can assure you (women voters of America) voting for any man or woman with an “r” next to his or her name in the 2012 ballot box is a vote against women’s health in general, not to mention the environment your kids and grand kids will be playing in… and that,”my friends” (credit fake, cliched nicety to Mitt, “corporations are people too”, Romney), is a FACT you can take to the bank.  Just make that bank not one of the big five, as that would be counter productive to the movement, “Get the money out of Washington”, speaking to Citizens United, as well as “Get the money out” of big banking institutions like Bank of America or JP Morgan Chase or Wells Fargo, for there is where the ‘devil’ truly resides, in the money, and if you want to find him, the ‘devil’ that is, you have to look at all of the detail within said ‘money’, where it comes from, who is it being funneled to, what is the ‘end game’, etcetera.  For ye, so naive and trusting… do you really believe plutocrats, who control vast amounts of capital, resources, commodities, influential people and political control world wide, would leave anything up to chance?  That’s why all of the ‘money’ (Irish money does) is on Mitt, “corporations are people too my friend”, Romney, enjoying now ‘HUGE tracks of land”(credit Michael Palin and Monty Python and the Holy Grail), I mean monies pouring in from all over God’s green earth, that’s right, thanks to that Supreme Court ruling in 2010, politicians can accept UNLIMITED amounts of cash, credit cards or travelers checks from anonymous ’sources’ (Romney doesn’t know where that ten million dollar check is coming from, come on!), be they from Bahrain, China, Russia, who knows, does it matter?  Hell no!  We are the republicans damn it! We OWN this town mother f@cker! After we fraudulently win the White House in 2012 and take back the Senate, we are going to do some real house cleaning, as in taking it up a notch with this whole ‘Freedom of Speech’ thing.  Any dirty, filthy, intellectual type, you know, one of them Ivy league educated, tree huggin’, owl savin’, global warmin’ belivin’ commie scumbag, who writes bad things about our ‘dear leaders’ to be, such as maybe, fingers crossed, Mitt, “a vote for me is a vote against your own best interests, but what the hay, vote for me anyway, I’m white, am I not?”, Romney (former Governor of the great state of Massachusetts, who does not miss him in the slightest), we gonna put you in one of ‘dem prisons on that rock in Cuba, or the secret one under DIA, after we gut the environment to the point of no return.  First thing we alsa gonna do is fire the newly elected ‘Consumer Watch Dog’, Richard Cordray, whom President Barack Obama, finally took power and used that power to make a special ‘recess appointment’, upsetting poor old Speaker of the House John Boehner, who wept openly about it, (’recess appointments’, to which Ronald Reagan acted on 240 times while in office, George ‘W’ doing it 171 times, and this being Obama’s 32…), elevating Cordray to become this nation’s chief consumer financial protection bureau top cop when it comes to policing the big, filthy, dirty, scumbag banking/financial systems, who never, ever, break any laws of any kind, do they??  Something this nation needs in a big way, hopefully someday applying the Dodd-Frank bill with some real saber-toothed tiger like teeth, before the whole system blows up one more time, leaving the puppets in D.C. to beg ‘the American People’ (credit Mitch, ‘the turtle’, McConnell, R-KY) to bail out their country club buddies one more time, by way of those same ‘American People’s’ taxes, who are once again called on, as they are starving to death and underwater, literally and figuratively, to bail out the big corrupt casinos known as investments banks down on the dark streets of Wall, where they make and invest in nothing of value anymore, rather, scheme to make profit over other people’s PAIN.  Yes, those “American People” who have become a trendy talking point, not real people at all, ironically, as those real people have been replaced, as we have already discussed, by the ‘other’ real people–the faceless, anonymous, ever hungry sharks that have no brain, only a desire to feed, yes, that group of 308 million souls whom this same group of men, over the past four or five decades, keeps running over, with the majority of those who still believe in ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’ begging for more, by the likes of a snake oil sales man like Romney, or a guy who speaks to those ‘working American values’, yet would be the first one, like Scott Brown of Massachusetts, to get in bed with a Lloyd Blankfein, CEO of Goldman Sachs, or one of his many other strange bed fellows in the other global plutocratic industries, such as Koch, that are polluting this country’s water and air at will, leaving a cesspool behind for, wait for it, ‘our kids and our grand kids’ (republican talking point number 4007),  continuing to expand this ever growing Grand Canyon gap between the haves and have nots, as this country splits in two, with one America thriving (1%) and other (99%) dying on the vine. The Mr. Potters’ of the world will be erecting more “Potterville’s”, akin to the Hooverville’s of the 1930’s, before the onset of Franklin Delano Roosevelt’s ‘New Deal’, a bold move that took down the plutocrats of that day, bringing forth great programs that are still alive and well, such as Social Security and the onset organized unions in a big way, demanding fair wages and safe working conditions, you know, common HUMAN decency–a sentiment that I thought we were well beyond by now~ a little prayer that history will repeat itself, in a good way this time, in the years and decades to come… Let US be perfectly clear, whoever is nominated to be the republican challenger to President Barack Obama will face a daunting task of undoing him.  The only way he can win is if the republican strategists over at Crossroads/GPS, Karl Rove and his compatriots, can somehow broker a back room deal with Ron Paul and keep him from running as a third party candidate, as well as continuing with the ’suppress the vote’ campaign, a thirty plus state initiative, sparked by plutocrats, targeting minorities, the poor, students and the disabled, accomplished by requiring potential voters, voters who have been voting the same way for decades now, requiring them to produce slick new photo ID’s, with the strategists knowing, statistically, that it will shave up to 5 points off the general election, perhaps just enough to have yet another Gore moment, as in Gore v. Great to be with you on this Wednesday morning, the fourth day of January, 2012, a wonderful day on Cape Cod, as the wind chill on Nantucket this morning is minus seven~  Well, the republican rodeo clown reality TV show, oh, I’m sorry, the republican race to the nomination got under way in earnest last night, as the Iowan caucuses went off without a hitch, with all the nice Iowan caucus people presumably going over to whatever hobbit house was designated and cast their ballot for any number of the six or so candidates that were in the running, the usual suspects, Santorum, Bachmann, Huntsman, Perry, Paul and Romney (and one of their imaginary friends’, I’m not at liberty to say who, as that would be indiscreet, Perry, whose friend is a large bunny, six feet in height, you know him as “Harvey”), with Mitt, “I’m going to have a hard time explaining to the folks of America that I did not really mean corporations are people too my friend, god I’ve got a big mouth!’, Romney winning the caucus with 25 percent and eight more votes than Rick Santorum, who surprised many people with his surge to the top, giving old Mitt just one more challenger going towards the general election.  However, it is not going to be easy, as Santorum will use his blue collar, coal mining background of western Pennsylvania, where he was the Senator of, to his advantage, speaking to folks whom seacapecod.net has been trying to reach for years, namely, those who have been HURT by republican policies offered up by then President George W. Bush, policies that are the FUNDAMENTAL reason we are in the mess we are in today.  Just remember Rick, when you quote ‘god’, his main messenger, Jesus, is not interested in double speak, nor does he care for two faced puppets.  If you wish to use his ‘name’, please do not use it in ‘vain’, and I do not refer to profanity, I speak to using the poor for your advantage, politically that is, for that is a slippery slope and can bite you in the end.  But, hey, what do I know right Rick?  You could be right, perhaps the majority of the people who live in this country want a system that continues to short change them and rip them off at every turn, while YOU tell them what is good for them, all while claiming you want ’smaller’ government, smaller in environmental regulations, financial regulations, regulations of any kind, because ‘god’ prefers the voodoo economics of Ronald Reagan, where manna drops from Heaven from the ‘job creators’, like GE, or Exxon-Mobile, or Goldman Sachs, who all just laid off thousands of workers, while pulling in massive profits…yes maybe the “American People” (credit, again, Mitch, ‘the mouse’, McConnell, R-KY) do, for just like with people stuck in a Stockholm Syndrome, eventually you can coerce your hostages to even feel sorry for you, after you have taken everything they have.  Just how stupid do you think the true and free American people really are?  “Hope it’s a nice coffee shop Jack” (credit the classic film, “Midnight Run”, starring Charles Grodin and the incomparable Robert De Niro).  We’ll see you all in New Hampshire and South Carolina!  Same bat time, same bat station!  Thanks for the memories Java Joe’s in Des Moines, Iowa!  I pray MSNBC paid you handsomely and good luck in the upcoming year! Great to be with you on this Tuesday morning, the third day of January, 2012, a stunner out there on Cape today, with cold northeasterly winds blowing the wind chill down into the single digits with bright azure sky above, a nice day for a sail would you not agree?  There will be plenty of sailing back in forth in the minds of voters today out in Iowa, voting in that state wide and first real election in a nationwide process of nominating a republican nominee to go up against President Barack Obama in this epic 2012 election that will see the ushering in of our 45th President of the United States of America, true history in the making.  I will leave all of today’s punditry to the real pundits out there, save to say it looks as if it is a toss up between Mitt Romney and Rick Santorum for the win in Iowa and the momentum going into New Hampshire’s following primary taking place soon.  And as the rest of America watches this amazing human drama unfold, seeing front runner, “I take offense at being called the candidate of the one percent”, Mitt, “corporations are people too”, Romney, showing off his versatile flippin’ and a floppin’, we can sleep well at night knowing America is finally taking notes, and heed. Come on Mitt! Not everyone out there you are talking to is an idiot!  Be real, oh, that’s right, you ARE being real, and yet, that is exactly what people in Iowa and around the rest of the country don’t trust about you old buddy.  You are not real and do NOT care about the welfare of 99 percent of ‘the American People’ (credit Mitch, ‘the mouse’, McConnell, R-KY), for if you did, you would be speaking to creating a fairer educational system, for starters, reaching out to inner cities and giving poor kids the same advantages rich kids do, i.e., preparatory schools that get one into Harvard, bringing contacts that GET you into the country clubs you are a part of in the various states you have residences.  GET REAL. Great to be with you on this Tuesday morning, the second day of this New Year, January of course, 2012, a new key stroke on the old keypad to be sure.  How’s weather out there?  Winter may be finally making an appearance this year, as the temperatures out in the Midwest are dipping down into single digits with Cleveland, hello!, bracing for a winter storm that will march it’s way eastward today, with Nantucket island expecting gusty winds, falling temperatures and perhaps even a little snow…  The folks out in Iowa don’t care too much about this cold snap, as the weather is just fine at Java Joe’s in Des Moines, Iowa, where the cast and crew of “Morning Joe”, brewed by Starbucks, are broadcasting LIVE, as I write these immortal words at 7:04 a.m., eastern standard, speaking to the Iowa caucus that will take place tomorrow, bringing forth the first republican ‘election’ of sorts to determine who will try and unseat this very fine President, Barack Obama, we already have.  Good Luck. All of the pundits this morning on that very fine early morning news show are busy talking about all of the finer points of this very popular, for some reason, republican primary fight, only on MSNBC, starting with Willie Geist’s, “Way too Early”, at 5:30 a.m., to which he always asks the question, ‘what are you doing up at this hour?’. One of my favorite responses to that all important question thus far, as they read them live on the air every day, has been, “I had a hankering for a chunk of cheese…”, yes, all of the very smart people on that show seem to be leaning towards Mitt Romney as the winner, even if Ron Paul and Rick Santorum take a good ‘chunk’ of that vote.  The super pacs that are controlling the REAL game right now have this thing already wrapped up.  Check the betting tables in Dublin.  You might want to let Michelle Bachmann know that gently though, the news may be too much for her to bear.  Mitt, “corporations are people too my friend”, Romney is going all the way to the bank with this weak crop of candidates who can’t seem to get out of each other’s way in reelecting Barack Obama in 2012.  The only way the republicans win in the fall is if the new tough voter ID laws in many parts of the country go into effect as they had planned, tough new laws due to newly elected republican legislators KNOWING that if they suppress the vote in poor neighborhoods, black neighborhoods that vote predominantly for democrats, not to mention students and the elderly, well then, you have taken away that all important ‘margin of error’, and shaved off a few points more to boot.  Thus, fraudulently stolen the election just like you did back in 2000, when Al Gore was pronounced dead on arrival due to the fact that John Roberts was sitting on the Supreme court bench.  A fact no matter how you slice it.  Look to this issue alone standing out as the number one story in 2012, for if ‘corporations that are people too’, can diabolically disenfranchise the ‘American People’, then what else can they do?  Plenty.  That is who you will be voting for in the fall should you vote with anyone with a little ‘r’ next to their name, for these mouthpieces for the plutocratic interests do NOT have 99 percent of ‘the American people’s’ (credit Mitch McConnell, R-KY) best interests in mind…  I suppose you could sum it up by comparing Starbucks to Java Joe’s, one is a local Iowan coffee company, and one is a corporate monster, the latter is going to get a whole lot more ‘air time’.  But, of course, this analogy is not applicable to Starbucks, one of the more human corporate entities out there~  Have a good one and don’t forget see if anything exciting happens in the next twenty-four hours in Iowa, although, I am not sure I can take too much more of this riveting action.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS!
