Greetings and wicked salutations from the spooky sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the dark, foggy island of Nantucket!  Happy Halloween to you and yours this October thirty-first, 2011, a not too scary morning here on Cotuit Bay, albeit very chilly, as the little ghosts and goblins here on Cape will have an easy go of it tonight, with no hurricane force winds expected to blow away the fun of this great day, a day that is all too needed in this insane world we all live in now. Louis Black, the great comedian, put it best when he said that he had to literally tell himself, convince himself rather, that he was NOT on drugs as he watched say, Fox & Friends, early one morning, that this stuff on that little flat, electronic box we all watch from ‘time’ to ‘time’ is really going on in this world of OURS and the people who are bringing it to you, in your living room or bedroom, are more often than not purposely LYING to you, for their own machinations, whatever those may be that are handed down from on high by the ’scary’ BROTHER’S KOCH, not to be confused, again, with ‘The Brother’s Grimm’, who wrote perhaps the scariest fairy tales that can be read to children, of all ages, today, and literally scare the living (ba) Jesus out of ‘em!  This, of course, is juxtaposed, to the the good old Koch brothers’, who are not make believe and really do some scary sh#t alright, especially along the ‘fracking’ line, creating a real witches brew of 596 deadly chemicals used in that process of attaining ‘natural gas’, chemicals that are NOW leaking into 37 states’ drinking water aquifers.  Someday, dear brothers, you too will be scared, real scared, for what goes around, COMES around, that is the law of Karma, and you best check it out David and Charles, before the witching hour of midnight! BOO! Have a spooky day folks and have some fun while you’re at it, the television, along with all of the hand held devices, do not need to be constantly in use.  On this day, above all others, employ your imagination, who knows, you may just discover who you really are, not what ‘they’ want you to be, think, act, well, you get the picture… PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the windy island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Sunday morning, the thirtieth day of October, 2011, around 7 a.m., still here after a wicked Nor’easter battered much of the Cape and Islands with heavy rains and even stronger winds, hurricane force winds, with Osterville and Cotuit reaching wind gusts of 67 m.p.h., along with the island of Nantucket whose highest wind gusts clocked in at over 73 miles per hour!  To the north of us here on Cape, a little to the west of Boston, communities saw heavy, wet snow, some receiving up to a foot of the white stuff, with power outages affecting over 650,000 residents in the state of Massachusetts alone.  New York City saw it’s first recorded snow fall since the beginning of the Civil War, over 150 years ago, so if you don’t think ‘the weather’s a changin’ you are either an idiot, or you have sprouted feathers and your head, like your Ostrich brother, is clearly in the sand that is being eroded rather quickly from the large, powerful waves you may want to think about getting the hell away from, before your ignorant a$$ is swept out into the big, blue sea!  It has been another ‘do nothing’ week on Capitol Hill, as the politicians, or puppets, if you want to be accurate, of this day and age go about the business of obstructing any bill that might do something to ease the pain of the common man or woman in this fine nation, with the great majority, upwards of 99 percent of roughly 308 million souls, struggling just to make ends meet.  Of course, the corporate owned Sunday morning talk shows may shine some light on “Occupy” this morning, however, it won’t be the kind of discussion offered up by say an Amy Goodman (Google Democracy Now!) or a Chris Hedges (Google ‘truthdig’), who speak volumes of TRUTH to the core problems facing this nation, as opposed to speaking about Herman Cain’s manufactured and BOUGHT, by the Koch brothers’, Presidential bid.  For how can talking about the ‘GRAND CANYON’ gap between the haves and the have nots be of any real entertainment value when you can talk about, ‘what’s up with that smoking ad?’, showing hilarious parades of said ad of Cain’s campaign manager smoking a cigarette on camera, blowing smoke out of his mouth at the end of the ad, while having Cain give his best Grinch impression?  Some of the late night ads included a bong, a bottle of Jack and I dare say a crack pipe.  Funny stuff indeed, proving that WE, the ‘American People’ (credit Mitch, ‘the mouse’, McConnell (R-KY) have not lost our sense of humor about the whole MAD affair called the government of the United States of the Corporation. Have a spooky day everybody, on this ‘all hallows eve’, as we already got our scare with this ‘wicked weatha’ here on little old Cape Cod and the islands of Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket!  Sea you tomorrow, same bat time, same bat channel.    PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Saturday morning, the twenty-ninth day of October, 2011, just returning from yet another amazing sunrise on Sampson’s Island, a long thin island that straddles Cotuit and Osterville, sharing space with Cotuit Bay and Nantucket Sound, as the Great Blue Heron, the Greater Black back seagull, and all of the other ocean birds dive down deep for their morning breakfast, yes, it is a good day to be alive on this little sand bar created 11,500 years ago by the Last Great Ice Age…  Halloween is not until Monday, however, per the images you are now beginning to see, seacapecod.net just could not wait to show that our friends, Dorothy, the scarecrow, the tin man and the cowardly lion are doing just fine and taking a break from the “Occupy” movement, for today, as they just got back from the Emerald City where the ‘wizard’ scared the living bejesus out of ‘em, with all of the loud noises, the smoke and mirrors, veiled threats and the general attitude of said wizard who simply wishes them ‘all’ to just go away, ‘ya know, stop yelling at the nice plutocrats, for ‘don’t they know how much ‘they’ have done for the poor, the elderly, the young, the ‘American people’ already?  Jeez.  The ’smoke and mirror’ show that I just described can be seen in it’s entirety every weekday, and weekend, on the infamous FOX NEWS channel, where you can catch up with all of today’s ‘news’ with say, the ‘b’ team of ‘Fox & Friends’, who look more like a college produced game show than a credible news organization, were it that benign.  The ‘culture war’ that has been waged by this evolved form of ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’, born out of the concepts of the Reagan administration and many would say well before that, fifty plus years ago, is on fire right now, with most who speak the TRUTH stating that the war was caused by the one percent, not the other way around.  For people all across this great land of OURS are beginning to truly WAKE UP to reality on the ground, not to just what the corporate news outlets are ‘telling’ those poor souls, as they continue ‘training’ them what to ‘think’ and what to ‘believe’, and thus, are rather outraged at the advantages that have been bestowed upon the most fortunate among us, for decades now, all by design, a Machiavellian design.  Once again, in the immortal words of Ricky Ricardo of “The Lucille Ball Show”, they, the men and women who continue to propel this nation backwards, will, eventually, ‘have some ‘esplain’ to do…’ So, take heart America, for this is far from over, remembering courage is not the absence of ‘fear’, rather, what actions we take in the face of ‘it’.  Have a wonderful day and keep on avoiding those wooden nickles offered up by the various ‘wizards’ out there in the big, bad world of egoic illusions.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this glorious Friday morning, the twenty-eighth day of October, 2011, around ten a.m., cold, bright, blue and beautiful indeed, as the chilling rains of yesterday moved on into the Canadian Maritime, far to the north and west of this little sand bar created by the Last Great Ice Age over 11,500 years ago…  The leaves are beginning to turn, bringing the season of spooky into full focus, with Thanksgiving right around the corner, followed by the Christmas season, or ‘holiday season’, as I would not want to offend anyone, with the concepts of Rudolph, Jesus or Frosty, not to mention the Grinch. Yet, no one in Washington D.C. is feeling all that festive at the present moment, as the same old tired horse$hit just keeps on being shoveled into the five minute attention span of the typical American psyche by the likes of FOX NEWS, the premier purveyor of that fine delicacy that one eventually becomes numb to, in fact the whole tongue becomes disabled enough where one cannot distinguish that fine horse manure from say, a Fillet Mignon.  However, the vast majority of ‘the American People’, who, for some in the beltway are merely a talking point, are finally beginning to WAKE UP to the global feudal system that has hijacked our democracy, democracy with a small letter ‘d’, devoid of personality, but chalk full of principal, draining it of all resources, by way of proxy, and then leaving it in the dust as it counts ‘it’s’ money in the corrupt banking systems ‘it’ OWNS, a system that is so powerful, it controls the levers, many of them, and many of the ‘choices’ at the dinner table of the AMERICAN PEOPLE’S BUSINESS, namely, the congress and Senate, where most of the decisions that are plaguing this nation were made in the past thirty years or so, making it virtually impossible to change the ’status quo’ by tinkering around the edges of the floundering economy, and it certainly won’t be fixed by cutting more VITAL programs such as Medicare and Medicaid, as we ramp up the engines of the ‘never ending war machine’ that is the United States’ military industrial complex, a system of eternal kickbacks to contractors, subcontractors, Senators, you get the idea, that keeps all of the ‘jobs’ the republicans will argue it ‘creates’ overseas, where they do this country no good whatsoever.  When you argue to keep soldiers on bases in Japan, Germany, South Korea, etcetera, the list goes on ad infinitum, costing the U.S. tax payer billions, while you simultaneously come up with the brilliant idea of hurting OUR citizens, especially the poor ones, even more, by cutting more from the very last safety net, Medicaid, not to mention Medicare by 500 billion, harming seniors even more than the stock market already did, you are making an argument for war, not against it, for how in God’s green earth does keeping soldiers in Japan help anybody, how does it help some starving child in West Virginia, who is not only starving, literally eating food that is not feeding her growing body the nutrients it needs, but lacks ANY health insurance, and attends a school that is falling down, with class sizes far too large to support any real educational benefits or advantages her PEERS in rich districts enjoy without thought, effort or gratitude?  Tell her your answer Mitch, ‘the mouse’, McConnell (R-KY), for you seem to have such a good beat on things, you know, with the ‘American People’, and all, tell her your story, for I know plenty just like her in your state too, as they ‘worship’ the same ‘God’ you claim to, yet, seem to walk his ‘talk a whole lot better than you and your buddies, such as Rick, Herman, Willard, Michelle, Rick, ’she turned me into a’ Newt, well, I think you get the point old boy…   Speaking of human hypocrites of immense ‘proportion’, how about that quote from one of your mouth pieces, your pal and henchman, Rush Limbaugh, the other day, so graciously calling the protesters in the “Occupy Wall Street” movement ‘human scum’, ’scum’ that is being treated as such by various police forces around the country, in focus now, the Oakland police, who put an Iraqi Vet protester down with either rubber bullets or the canister of an exploding tear gas bomb that was thrown in to the crowd by the ‘brave’ barbaric police thugs who surrounded the peaceful protesters in the middle of the night, terrorizing them, in a city that one would have a hard time convincing some one who did not know any better that this was still the United States of America.  Still America as we look out onto these protests around the globe that is now clearly a movement of the organic variety, meaning, it will not be ’stopped’ by a few greedy plutocrats, no, this is far too powerful a ‘movement’ for that, especially when WE have social media, such as Facebook and Twitter, when WE have social conscience, when WE have the power of GOD behind US, the true God of compassion, wisdom, grace, humility, love, forgiveness and peace, yes, when WE have that God behind us, nothing, I mean nothing can stop US. Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Wednesday morning, the twenty-sixth day of October, 2011, another beauty, as evidenced by the image you see above you, the glorious Nantucket Sound that buffers the southern coast of Cape Cod from the sometimes brutal force of the open Atlantic, whose angry seas can batter the shore and the people that live there from ‘time’ to ‘time’… It is day 40 of “Occupy Wall Street”, the TRUE grass roots movement that–not unlike the fruit vendor fed up with being pushed around, setting himself on fire therein starting the ‘Arab Spring’ that sparked major social changes throughout the Middle East–has erupted into an honest to gosh calling out of the tiny, tiny minority of people (.01%) who have a stranglehold on our democracy, taking everything and leaving the majority to scrape by like a junk yard dog.  Yesterday afternoon, I turned on the ‘Charlie Rose Show’ on PBS, and on it, were two distinguished guests who had a few thoughtful insights, the best I have heard thus far, regarding this amazing revolt against naked aggression and runaway greed, a powerful combination that has bankrupted our nation and left it’s people, again, to be kicked around like a beaten animal, right Rick, “you can take this gun from my cold dead hands”, Perry?  The guests on Charlie’s show were Chris Hedges (Google ‘truthdig‘) and Amy Goodman (Democracy Now!), who spoke to what is really going on with this movement, why it has not received any REAL attention from the corporate owned airwaves, not much of a mystery there, such as the comment that, if, 2000 ‘tea party’ protesters were out in New York’s Zuccotti Park, there would be 2000 ‘journalists’ covering it, and what they think will happen next.  As we all know, this movement, a collective soul, if you will, or mass human conscience that is just now waking up to reality, has gone viral, spreading to over 1000 locations world wide, thus far, and it’s central theme is to call out ‘corporate capitalism’, a thirty, some would say 59 year process, that has turned sovereign countries into feudal states, with ‘management’ (corporate CEO’s, the rest of the pyramid scheme, local, state and federal politicians, etc) and ’slaves’ (the 99 percenters, i.e. most likely YOU) making up an Orwellian like society, a mass grouping of fairly ignorant and suppressed people, who must bend to the will of the plutocrats who OWN our government and CALL the shots as to what passes mustard and what goes by the way side.  In this case, the ‘way side’, say it with me Mitch (McConnell, a republican ‘Senator’ from the great state of Kentucky, but in reality, a small rodent, similar to a field mouse), IS ‘the American People’ and if you want any proof, simply look at the fact that the top one percent in this country OWNS 40 percent of the wealth, with that number only rising steadily.  The feudal lords have spoken, and they wish ‘the American slave’, I mean ‘worker’ to be more productive if he/she wishes to retain employment at XYZ corporation, be willing to ‘take one for the team’, by way of pay cuts, pay cuts that will keep said corporation competitive with the likes of ‘a Chinese prison camp’ (credit Chris Hedges).  This IS the reality folks and don’t you doubt it for a moment.  If the crushing grip of this ‘corporate capitalism‘ continues unabated, capitalism that is ironically juxtaposed to ‘penny capitalism’, or ’small (real, not hedge fund or law firms) business capitalism’, as puppets like McConnell open their puppet like mouths one more time in front of the corporate owned cameras, regurgitating the same old tired republican talking points from the days of yesteryear, revived like Ronald Reagan’s ghost, this country, as WE know it, and hopefully our children and grandchildren WILL know it, ALL of them, will know it again, will become much like the nation depicted in the chilling George Orwell book and film, ‘1984′, where people were subjected to, as Rachel Maddow put it so well, “really, really, really BIG government”, where the surfs, or, in this case, ‘the American People’, will be subjected to the treatment most Chinese laborers FEEL right now, for these corporations, that hover over countries, raping and pillaging their resources, leaving the toxic waste dump of their activity behind, ‘freeing’ the people they raped and pillaged with nothing, save their puppet leaders, who, of course, act in accordance with the will of the plutocrats who put them in charge to begin with, yes, if the people’s voices do not come together and fashion a response to this MADNESS, I fear that scenario of Orwell’s frightening vision is quite possible right here in the good ‘ole US of A. The ‘time’ is NOW, for the present is all we have anyway, to read and educate our friends, our family, our colleagues, and our world at large that our voices and spirits are JUST as powerful as ‘theirs’ are, and even though, at present, there does not seem to be an outlet for those voices, think again, for “Occupy” is not going away, it can’t, for their WILL be JUSTICE, it JUST IS… It is time to read articles and listen to people like Chris Hedges and Amy Goodman, for they have no ‘Angle’ here, no, their mission is to speak to the TRUTH and to WAKE people UP, as to their role in this mess, for that role is not a passive one, and if history is any guide, a loaded question, sorry, it has taught US this–protests in the 1960’s, many led by prominent, intelligent, compassionate, real leaders, like Martin Luther King, Jr., and Bobby Kennedy, brought an end to the Vietnam War, and opened up our eyes to racial prejudice, raw bigotry and the oppression of women’s rights.  None of that would have taken place if WE all sat by idly and watched ‘them’ rape and pillage US, our land, air and water. Forcing so many into the mind set offered up by what is known as a Stockholm Syndrome, where they keep them masses hostage through fear and intimidation, and, in some cases, literally psychologically tricking victims into ‘feeling sorry’ for their captors, staying ‘out of their way’, for ‘they’ must know best somehow because ‘they’ have lots of dough, all while WE apologize for letting our collective faces get in the way of their collective FIST.  The rampant, clear greed, the ABUSE of power, the cover ups, the rigged financial ‘too big to fail’ system that has hijacked our blessed government ‘of, by and for the People’, and a well defined military industrial complex, not to mention the corporate welfare systems in place for the health insurance industry, the farming industry, the ‘natural gas industry, and the coal industry, along with the nuclear industry, cannot, clearly, go on forever, and so we say to our friends, the ‘brother’s KOCH’, ‘the party is over, and it is only a matter of ‘time’ before the majority in this country ‘takes the T-Bird away’… Have a nice day folks and remember to tune out FOX NEWS and tune in to Current TV, for Sean Hannity “ain’t sellin’ no alibis, as you stare into the vacuum of his eyes”, while Keith Olbermann will give you the straight deal on “Countdown, with Keith Olbermann”, airing every weeknight at 8 p.m., EDT, only on CURRENT TV, one of the best stations on television today, and re-airing that night at 11 p.m., 2 a.m., 7 a.m., noon, and three the next day, I offer this suggestion as an independent reporter and citizen of the United States of America, whose only real journalism credentials include a PhD in Monty Python movies (but don’t hold that against Keith by any stretch of the imagination) and the fact that, upon graduating from the University of Vermont as a history major in 1987, I once served a drink to Walter Cronkite at the Edgartown Yacht Club in gorgeous Martha’s Vineyard, where I was, without a doubt, ‘the world’s worst waiter!’, and ‘that’s (my dear friends) the way it IS’…  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Tuesday morning, the twenty-fifth day of October, 2011, another sunny start to another beautiful mid-fall day on Cape Cod, and, as the U2 song indicates, ‘right here, right now, is the only place I want to be, right here, right now, watching the world WAKE UP from HISTORY…’, for this is, after all, a very exciting time to be alive.  The world is moving at faster and faster speeds, just look around you, does it not feel as if things are quickening, as if you don’t have enough ‘time’ to get ‘it’ all done?  Coupled with this very real phenomenon, is the fact that the TRUTH is beginning to see the LIGHT of day once again, as that TRUTH always has a funny way of coming out and rearing it’s either beautiful, or ugly head, depending on your personal perspective and relationship of and with ‘it’. Take the big banking institutions in this country for example, (please, I beg ‘ya) they are, according to the New York Times, sitting on an unprecedented amount of CASH that they literally don’t know what to do with, while the typical American family struggles to just survive another day…something does indeed stink in Denmark. To quote our friend from simpler days, a man who graced the big screen and made us all laugh, the great Dudley Moore, who, among his many appearances on that silver screen, offered perhaps his most memorable performance in the classic film, circa 1981, “Arthur”, ironically shot during the same time period when this current system of ‘government’ veered violently away from ‘the American People’ and began heavily favoring the top one tenth of the top one percent in this nation along with all of those ‘too big to fail’ institutions that WE bailed out in 2008 and have since been treating as if they are holier than thou, sacred cows that should never be monkeyed with, let alone dismantled and restructured back into a SANE way of doing business.  Yes, to quote Mr. Dudley Moore as he waits for his future, almost, father-in-law, Burt Johnson, to join him in the ‘drawing room’, speaking to the butler who just navigated to him that point, “…you’re a funny guy, are you sure to be a nightclub comic?” As the butler leaves the room, Arthur is all alone and begins talking to the stuffed moose that is hanging on the wall as some kind of ‘trophy’, saying, “this must be awfully embarrassing for you…” Suddenly, the intimidating ‘Burt’ Johnson strides into the room, with Arthur saying in a rather meek way, “Well, hello there Mr. Johnson, would you like a drink?” “I never drink Arthur, it makes a man indecisive”…  “Oh, that’s great, you probably never ran out of ice your whole life!  Where’s the rest of this moose?” Yes, where is the rest of this moose indeed Arthur…  The rest of the moose, or ‘rest of the story’ as to how this country arrived at where it IS right now, will be poured over by historians for years to come, showing, date be date, event by event, decision by decision, just who has PROFITED from this rigged, corrupt system of free market economics, as the various plutocratic special interest groups have literally taken over the Legislative branch of our 236 year old Republic, toying with taking over, once again, the Executive, and clearly, with the Citizens United ruling of 2010, part of the Judiciary, leaving ‘the American People’ with nothing but a bag of IOU’s and no future.  Mitch, “the mouse”, McConnell (R-KY), is a perfect example of what I speak of here, stating it perfectly yesterday when he explained why he, and the rest of the ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’, has rejected President Obama’s American Jobs Act, a plan that WOULD begin to put Americans back to work, including keeping many Americans on the job, such as teachers, firemen, policemen and other state and local employees, many of whom are waiting for their pink slips any day now.  To quote Mitch himself, ‘we don’t want to bailout these folks, it is not the job of the federal government, that is the job of state and local authorities…’, in other words, the man who uses the phrase, ‘the American people’, ad NAUSEUM, just another Karl Rove talking point in all reality for these literal clowns, could not, by virtue of his OWN words, care less about said AMERICAN PEOPLE< even the first responders, and thus, is saying, in effect, if you are one of the 99 percenters, you, your family, your community, and anyone else you may care about–ARE ON YOUR OWN!  Just ask presidential, fingers crossed, Herman, “smoke ‘em if you got ‘em”, Cain, who recently came out with an advertisement for his bid to become our 45th President, an ad complete with a man speaking into the camera with a lit cigarette and Herman Cain, sporting, at the end of the ad, a creepy, maniacal smile on this face. YIKES! You know on second thought honey, let’s not order Godfather’s Pizza tonight, OK?, I don’t want to have any more of those nightmares… As the race heats up this week even more, a race that is going to go on for the next year or so, we can just sit back and realize that it is, after all, a big illusion, for none of these ‘comics’ have a leadership bone in their collective bodies, unless you are talking about leadership in regards to ‘restructuring’ companies, by taking them over, hostilely, breaking them apart and selling off the assets in order to make a HUGE profit for the company and oneself, leaving the employees high and dry, in fact, firing them all and renaming the ‘company’…oh, wait, we do have a candidate like that, it’s old, Willard, “corporations are people too”, Romney, a former Massachusetts Governor, who, before becoming this state’s governor, made millions at Bain Capital, by doing that very thing I just mentioned, who WOULD, as President, drive that final nail into the coffin of our failing democracy, by handing over the reigns of POWER to the multinational corporate entities that will attempt to end all regulations on the big polluters, like Koch Industries, Halliburton and Exxon-Mobile, not to mention the mild regulations on the financial community that did not go nearly far enough, i.e. ‘the Frank-Dodd bill’, as well as gutting education, the tax code, ah, the list goes on and on, and as these faceless, heartless, ENTITIES take over the nation’s highest offices, courts and the Presidency itself, this country will fall from the grace that was bestowed upon it so many moons ago, shamefully swaggering into the collective boardrooms crying out, ‘we are not making enough money!, we NEED MORE!’… When is it enough, one might ask these ‘titans’ of industry, moreover, one could ask, ‘why are you stealing our Christmas tree Mr. Grinch?’… Little Susie Who may get her answer sooner than she thinks.  Have a nice day folks and keep on avoiding those wooden nickles offered up by FOX NEWS, they are, as I have said many times before, not meant for HUMAN consumption.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Monday morning, the twenty-fourth day of October, 2011, another star filled morning, only a few moments ago, here on the southern shores of this little sand bar created by the Last Great Ice Age over 11,500 years ago–the skies filled with those bright, twinkly things up in the Heavens, coupled with a crescent moon bringing a sense of wonder and awe…putting things in perspective, if you will, as WE look forward to our future as a collective race, deciding on just how we wish to LIVE IT. With the President’s Jobs bill dead on arrival on the Senate floor, as republicans are not interested in putting teachers’, firemen, policemen and infrastructure workers back on the job, because it would mean that people who make over a million dollars a year in ’salary’ would have to pay an extra .7 percent on their income, a move that would go against the ‘Grover Norquist NO tax increase’ pledge that all republicans must sign now, in blood, thus, keeping the sad economy that much sadder as it limps it’s way into the Christmas season.  The reality of the political environment in Washington D.C. is mirrored in the ‘demands’ of “Occupy”, a movement that has swept the globe and is calling out the cobwebs via the broom and will, by natural design, eventually be heard by the ruling plutocratic interests, if they are smart, for their ‘way of doing business’ is now being labeled for what it IS–rigged, corrupt, and clearly UN American.  What made this nation GREAT has, and always will be, it’s PEOPLE.  Somehow, somewhere, most politicians have forgotten this simple truism, for where would we have been in the days leading up to World War II, in 1939, if we had a congress and Senate that looked and acted as it does today?  Speaking German or Japanese, that’s where. Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny, starry island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you early morning, ‘way too early’, if you will, six a.m., on this Sunday, the twenty-third of October, 2011, a star filled morning, with a crescent shaped moon offering light to Nantucket Sound below–quite the LIGHT show I can assure you. Just another reason to come and visit Cape Cod and the islands of MV and Nantucket, as Christmas is right around the corner and the ‘Christmas Strolls’, from Nantucket to Cotuit are real life present day versions of a Norman Rockwell painting, so come on down, we will, as always, ‘leave the LIGHT on for YA!’… On this Sunday morning, perhaps some good news came out of D.C as of yesterday, with President Obama relaying to ‘the American people’ that 38,000 troops will be returning from that misguided war that took over 4400 American lives, over 650,000 Iraqi lives, almost 800 billion dollars, thus far, in treasure, and nine years of constant coverage of an event that took down a dictator, but did little more than that, save keeping America’s attention on a distraction called the Iraq War, as Wall Street went wild with PROFIT, until the house of cards fell with Lehman Brothers and the rest of the ‘investment banks’ in ‘08, leaving that mess for the ‘American People’ to figure out for themselves…  For today, Iraq’s government is just as corrupt as it was ten years ago, perhaps not as brutal, but corrupt nonetheless, making our ‘accomplishments’ in that part of the world nominal at best, criminal at worst.  However, that does not diminish that amazing effort on behalf of our men and women in uniform, for they, unlike most people now a days, did what they were told and jumped in the mire and fought bravely, honorably and with a great amount of distinction, and even though the war in Iraq will go down as one of the most dubious, it does NOT take away from the fact that we ALL owe a great deal of debt to these brave soldiers who put their lives at risk to defend a country they LOVE from all enemies, both foreign and domestic, not to mention the lives of their families, who are often forgotten, as less that one percent of our population serves in the military… thus, most of the nation has forgotten about these brave souls, as many vets return to their homeland unable to find work, or even a shoulder to cry on, feeling unappreciated, uncared for, and most of all, unloved.  If you happen across a vet today, or any day, give him or her a hug, because you never know how far that hug may take that person. PTSD, or ‘post traumatic stress disorder’ is a very real, invisible and, if not treated, deadly dis-ease.  Soldiers who are coming home, many of them, have this disorder, that is easily treatable, if diagnosed without stigma, as that seems to be the real problem now for most of the returning vets.  Many of the vets this reporter has interviewed, as he too suffers from this disorder, are eager to talk about their experiences but are shy about getting real professional help with their constant ‘irrational’ fears, anxieties and hyper-vigilance. With the vast majority of them stating they would get help, but it would ‘be reported’ to military authorities, therefore, stigmatizing them, or so they FEAR, the core ingredient of PTSD, creating a living hell in their already troubled mind that ‘others’ will see and treat them differently if they admit they need HELP (a catch 22), help in dealing with emotions that take them over with blind, raw FEAR, a fear that does not seem to have an outlet, or a remedy.  When I wrote the book, soon to be released and turned into a movie, ‘Taking Fog to Nantucket’, my goal was to heal myself from this affliction called Post Traumatic Stress disorder, a work in progress, however, as it turned out, via the research with vets and notable experts on the subject, such as Eric Kandel from Columbia University in New York City, the answer to helping others is in SHARING information, gathered KNOWLEDGE, expanding it and letting it go, bringing the whole thing full circle, and closing a chapter in what was, I think we can all agree, ‘the decade from hell’… Enjoy the day and the Sunday talk shows folks and remember that wooden nickles, offered up by FOX NEWS, are not meant for human consumption and will cause all sorts of side effects, many not yet known by the FDA…  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Friday afternoon, the twenty first of October, 2011, sorry about that, I was–to quote ‘Carl Spackler’, assistant greens keeper at Bushwood Country Club, a character played to the ‘tee’, by the incomparable Bill Murray in the classic film made in a much simpler time, 1979, ‘Caddyshack’–unavoidably detained”.  The day is bright and brisk on Nantucket Sound, where I spent most of my morning, with billowing fair weather clouds above, and a tough northeasterly breeze coming off the waters, making it cooler than it would be otherwise.  It is Friday, and for many people in this country, that just means another day of worrying about paying the rent, keeping food on the table for their children, paying the electric bill, wondering if they are going to increase the class size at the local elementary school, yet again, and fed up trying to find a job in an economy that is not on their side, for it is a global piggy bank now, where the ‘winners’ and the losers are no longer stocks and bonds, rather, innocent civilians who are wondering exactly how much more they can GIVE to the ruling elite, a plutocratic charge, that is determined to poison this planet with the continuation of the ‘fracking’ process of fracturing shale rock with water to release the ‘natural gas’, via pouring 596 deadly chemicals into that rock that eventually makes it’s way into the drinking water in 37 states now, all UNREGULATED. As it continues acting as a pusher for big oil who, like most of the banking industry, along with some of the insurance industry, coal industry and a few others, keeps it’s addicts, ‘the American people’ hooked on energies that are not only unsustainable but will continue to push the climate to the point of no return.  The republicans will tell you that it’s all ‘the regulations’ that are killing jobs in America, NO!, that is a LIE, regulatory legislation and current law account for less than a percentage of ‘jobs lost’, a famous republican talking point, when, in actuality, it is the phenomenon of ‘free trade’, or Laissez-faire economics, wherein it is easier and cheaper for multinationals to set up shop in another country, say China, and pick from a vast, extremely cheap labor force that does not complain about child labor, horrible working conditions, and health risks, making up for 30 percent of the ‘jobs lost’ in this great land of OURS…  This is just one example of many, let me reiterate that, many, policies that do not have the interests of 99 percent of the ‘American People’ in mind, as they steal their collective wallets, then offering to help them look for something that is obviously not there, with, of course, a five dollar processing fee.  Keep on broadcasting those Madison Avenue commercials Bank of America, an ironic name if I have ever heard one… Have a nice week end folks and do yourself a favor and Google some of the REAL NEWS that is happening down at Zuccotti Park in New York City, where day 35 of “Occupy Wall Street”, now “Occupy, fill in the blank“, with it’s impact globally, is rewriting history as we are Currentv(ly) experiencing it, LIVE, in your face, from Paris to Peru, it is happening, a calling out on runaway corporate greed that is decimating our environment, our people, and our peace.  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Thursday, October the twentieth, 2011, a rather warm, unusually warm, drizzly day here on Cape, as this little sand bar created by the Last Great Ice Age over 11,500 years ago, received quite a downpour yesterday from a system that also created some uncomfortable conditions for all of the protesters down in Zuccotti park, who make up the backbone of “Occupy”, fill in the  blank, whose message on day 34 is now resounding in over 82 countries from the U.K. to the Philippines, the Tundra to Tinseltown, offering a message to the world and it’s PEOPLE that centers around the concepts of fair economic play and Social Justice, you know, ‘equality for ALL’, concepts that have been demonized by plutocratic interests for the past thirty years now, as their movement and ultimate goal (the voodoo economic policies, BOO!, of Ronald Regan, former Secretary of the Treasury ‘under’ then President Ronald Reagan, or ‘trickle down’, or Laissez-faire, or ‘free market’, or ‘gansta’, or…), of OWNING Washington D.C., via the avalanche of corporate lobbying firms who represent the various special interests groups, i.e., the multinational corporations currently dominating the planet, has decimated the middle class, destroyed the environment, silenced unions, defunded education, and defrauded the ‘American People’, those same American people that Mitch, ‘the mouse’, McConnell (R-KY) always speaks of when he takes the microphone, spilling nauseating line after nauseating line from a list of talking points handed to him by his employers, employers who happen to be writing the largest reelection campaign contribution checks that week…  That is the problem right there, SPECIAL INTERESTS that work behind the scenes, away from the cameras of the corporate owned media that probably would not report on it anyhow, working in a ‘cloak and dagger’ world that defines the words shady and shifty, Machiavellian and macabre.  So, as WE all watch these fantastic side shows called ‘republican debate number, what are we up to now?, 5, 6?’, please keep in mind that they act as an educational tool for our people to wake up and smell the proverbial coffee, for like the excessive force used by the NYPD recently, as well as other police forces around the nation, brutal force used against the peaceful protesters, ironically bringing more attention to the “Occupy Wall Street” movement, these republican debates will bring more of that highly sought attention and hopefully more SCRUTINY to this current field of republican candidates, yes, suffering through these ‘dentist visit like‘ debates we all have to endure, will bear the fruit of KNOWING just how corrupt and misguided MOST of their fantasy policies really are.  Take, as an example. a plan offered up by a Herman,“my kingdom for a pizza”, Cain puppet, owned by Koch brothers monies, please Google, a tax code reform plan called ‘the 999 plan’, a ‘plan’ that acts as yet another example of how the real powers behind the ‘not your grandfather’s republican party’ wish to increase it’s ability to take from the poorest of US, while it continues the widening of the already huge ‘Grand Canyon’ gap between the haves and the have nots through legislative ‘gated communities’, if you will, , as every economist worth his or her salt will tell you that this plan heavily favors the rich as it lowers the boom on the middle class and the working poor.  The reason the manufactured, by the Koch brothers, tea party does not like Mitt Romney is not because of his religion of Mormonism, as they could care less if he wears ‘magic underpants’ or has one hundred wives, no, it is because he may just think and more importantly ACT for himself, thus, putting him out of the reach of pure plutocratic goals set out in secret meetings that take place in Aspen, Colorado, Palm Beach, Florida or, coming to you soon, Dubai or aboard the International Space Station, as they toast their newest success in creating a vast caste system that keeps the poor down while ever raping and pillaging the planet earth for it’s natural resources, gaining ever more profit from the people, while it keeps it’s collective head in the sands of ‘time’, as the earths’ temperatures soar ever higher in a man made disaster of biblical proportions just around the corner by way of the two words these idiots fear the most–CLIMATE CHANGE. Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the rainy, foggy island of Nantucket!  Great to be back with you on this Wednesday morning, the nineteenth day of October, 2011, a day that is shaping up to be a soaker, as the rains moving up from the south will drench the entire Cape with heavy downpours all day, a good day to thank the many LIGHT houses that adorn our shores from Nantucket’s Brant Point, Sankaty and Great Point, to the Cape’s Coastguard Light, as seen above in Chatham, Nausset, and Sandy Neck…for they, largely symbolically now, guide our vessels to shore, with a LIGHT revealing the true nature of the dangers that lie between them and the safety of that shore, by way of exposing those sand bars, rocks and the like, guiding them, like the stars above, to the place we ALL like to be–HOME. WE, as a nation, are largely ‘at float’ in a sea of apathy, disproportionate wealth appropriated in a rigged system of so called ‘capitalism’, and an overall lack of conviction, and hence, political will, to do anything that is RIGHT by the true American people, the ninety nine percent of this 308 million PEOPLE strong nation, who do most of the living and dying in ‘these here parts’… On day 33 of “Occupy Wall Street” we, here at seacapecod.net, salute your amazing efforts, as this movement, anyone not living under a rock already knows, has become much more than a mere protest, for it has morphed into a primal scream that is now calling out the system, headed by the big banks that are, as I write these words, reporting (because they, at the moment, have to) HUGE earnings, or PROFITS, with some banking firms reporting billions, compared to a year ago where they actually broke even, or, as in the case of Bank of America, lost money, but thanks to the new ‘five dollar foot long’ practice of nickling and diming to death  the American consumer, kicking them when they are down if you will, they are reporting profits of, I believe it was in the neighborhood of 5.9 billion, yes, that’s right, a PROFIT, in one year, of almost 6 BILLION dollars!  How did they arrive at such a healthy number?  Simple math, for when you have the luxury of borrowing money at O percent interest, free money, from the Federal Reserve, and turning around and lending it to the world at 10-20 percent, you have a pretty good chance of making a good living in the banking industry.  Meanwhile, the rest of the American People are struggling with how to put food on the table, how to keep their kids in the crumbling school they attend, with growing class sizes and other social problems, while worrying about keeping a roof over their collective heads, as these banks foreclose one house after another, by the tens of thousands, sending many out in the streets after living an entire lifetime in one place–it is enough to break your heart. Oh, wait, I almost forgot, people like David and Charles Koch don’t have a heart, nor do the puppets under their employment (I’m looking at you Eric, “you go girl”, Cantor (R-VA)), and that is the beauty of “Occupy”, for it brings all of this to LIGHT and places the ‘ner de wells‘ in a position where they have no place to hide, save the islands, Cayman style, where they stow all of the money they fleeced from America, via it’s people, land, air, water and wildlife…for they will, eventually, and they know it, be EXPOSED for who and what they are–THIEVES, thieves who should be brought to JUSTICE, if only we had a Justice department that was doing it’s f#$king job, for where else could one rip off grandma and grandpa and get a bonus at the end of the year?  Only in America folks, land of the grifter and home of the hedge fund managing scum bag…  “Hope it’s a nice coffee shop Jack” (credit, once again, the classic film, “Midnight Run”, a must see cult classic, starring the great Robert De Niro and the very funny Charles Grodin).  Have a nice day folks and keep on avoiding the poison over at Rupert, arrrggghhhh matie!, Murdoch’s FOX NEWS’ ‘Tokyo Rose’ station of choice, as they call 99 percent of the American People, who make up the microcosm of that macrocosm, ‘communists, Nazi’s and scum bags’, a classic ‘paging Dr. Freud moment’ for guys like Steve Ducey, one of the clown ‘anchors’ on Fox & Friends’, the morning news show that is sure to, unlike MSNBC’s ‘Morning Joe’, encourage it’s viewers to upchuck their Danish/and or Fruit Loops, unable to control the vomit as it spews all over their brand new tie…in other words, if you wish to keep your ingested nutrients on the inside, steer clear of that ‘news’ station, for it is not news, nor is it ‘fair or balanced’–it is mind controlling NONSENSE!  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy, rainy island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Monday morning, a wet one on Cape, as we brace for what will, by the end of the week, be quite a weather event of heavy rain and wind as the jet stream dips far to the south, bringing up all of that Gulf moisture, and dumps it all on the Atlantic seaboard…  Taking a deep breath for this upcoming week ahead, we can be assured of one thing–the beat will go on. 82 Countries participated in the growing civil unrest stemming from the great inequalities that ‘globalization’ has wrought upon society after society, with some protests, such as in Rome, Italy, turning violent, bringing “Occupy Wall Street” to it’s next evolutionary stage, “Occupy the globe”, for this ‘civil disobedience will not just simply ‘go away’…it won’t because this inherent dishonesty and criminality by world banks, many of the world’s leaders, and some corporate business entities won’t simply ‘just go away’.  Many of these fine ‘institutions’ are arrogant enough to simply dismiss them, expecting no backlash from the majority of the world’s peoples, however, it affects too many of those peoples–people who are beginning to wake up to the FACTS of how this all happened in the first place.  Take Wall Street as a barometer for a moment.  The problem with this far too powerful institution, made up of several very large, ‘too big to fail’ investment banks turned commercial/insurance banks, thanks to the destruction of the Glass-Steagall Act (of 1933) in 1999, allowing those banks to become ‘too big to fail’, creating the monopolies that defy the anti-trust laws that keep banks honest, yes, the problem with Wall Street in general is the fact they, ‘the investment banking system’ is no longer interested in ‘this country’ any longer, investing in American companies and, more importantly, the people who work for them.  No, it is interested in the lightening fast computer trading that makes money with no value to society at large, interested in cheap labor, hence manufacturing overseas, taking away jobs right here in the U.S., interested in DEREGULATION, further deregulation, so that it may continue making HUGE chunks of money from the speculation game that Wall Street has largely become, falsely driving up oil prices and many other commodities, some by at least 40 percent, and finally interested in owning as many of the politicians, puppets really, in Washington D.C., as they lobby harder and harder for fewer of those regulations, regulations of all kinds, pulling the teeth of other vital, non-financial, government agencies such as the Environmental Protection Agency, the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration, and the National Weather Service, which is such a smart move on behalf of these monstrous corporations who are the PROBLEM, such as Koch Industries, Halliburton, Exxon-Mobile, you know, the big polluters, who make bank on destroying OUR land, air and water, for they know that if they wave that little statement–it (regulations on say, the 596 deadly chemicals being used by Koch Industries and Halliburton, in the ‘fracking’ process of attaining natural gas, destroying drinking water in 37 states now, soon to be New York’s rich water supply), will take away jobs from good hard working Americans’–jobs that are not worth destroying our environment over, they can get away with pretty much anything.  The American public, at large, for the most part, is ignorant, (via an ingenious social/economic/political design constructed by plutocratic interests), of many of these simple facts, giving republican strategists, like a Karl Rove or a Frank Luntz, plenty of room to manipulate their ‘thinking’ process and hence SLAVERY on the American psyche, and thus, manipulate their voting preference.  “Occupy Wall Street” will, God willing, change all of that.  As more and more Americans WAKE up to real facts, and begin to call out these hedge fund managers who make billions of dollars in a system that should not allow such atrocities, the political will to continue doing the same thing will eventually wane, ushering in more transparency in the overall political INTENTION of it’s members, more fairness to the tax code, more deliverance, by way of REAL FINANCIAL REFORM, from the Wall Street barons who have their greedy little hands on the puppet strings of their bought politicians on Capitol Hill, and an opening back up to COMMON SENSE solutions, solutions to our ever increasing problem of CLIMATE CHANGE–solutions that benefit EVERYONE, you know, the 99 percenters, as opposed to the one percenters the system currently favors.  This is not a question of IF this will happen, rather a question of WHEN it will happen, for a society that now lives in a world of free flowing information, traveling faster than the speed of light, for thought does indeed travel at those speeds, the ‘free market’, or Laissez-faire, irresponsible madness (capitalism gone quite mad) that has been going on for the past thirty years in this nation will grind to a halt, as more and more ‘American People’ go hungry, more importantly, their children go hungry, and the last time I checked, you don’t want to piss off an angry ‘mama grizzly’ now, do YA? Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Sunday morning, seven a.m., the sixteenth day of October, 2011, just returning to the ‘typewriter’ from the ‘tip of the island’, Sampson’s Island, on Cotuit Bay, as the sun rises in the east once again, rising, I might add, in ‘purple mountain’s majesty’, over the mysterious body of water known as Nantucket Sound…should be a good day.  The Sunday morning talk shows will be busy once again in a few hours, with punditry and pageantry all included for the low, low price of enduring all of those painful advertisements regarding pain medications, whose side effects, interestingly enough, parallel the side effects that can sometimes occur when viewing anything on the FOX NEWS propaganda television station of choice, whose main goal in inflicting their soul to that kind of torturous brainwashing must be either ignorance, intolerance, or insolence, as they suffer the side effects of watching such nonsense–side effects that include, but are not limited to, the occasional blindness, shortness of breath, nausea, vomiting, loss of hearing, brain damage, or, in rare occasions, seeing bright lights that are meant to lead one out of the darkness of hate and greed, and into the alien world of compassion, Love, kindness and generosity, words to some that seem as foreign as the French Constitution.  On today’s, the only Sunday shows this reporter can stomach on the day normally reserved for rest, “Meet the Press, with David Gregory”, only on NBC, or ABC’s “This Week, with Christiane Amanpour”, both shows clearly the best in the business, you will most likely see stories that revolve around the unrest that is spilling out onto public streets, parks, and sometimes even tundra, as “Occupy Wall Street” goes viral, showing up all around the world (Google Milan, Italy for more coverage), evidenced by yesterday’s under-reported protests that took place in Times Square in New York City, where thousands of young, energetic, knowledgeable, and peaceful exercisers of the FIRST AMENDMENT took their bodies and voices, wills and souls to the PEOPLE, shouting out TRUISMS not heard by an ORGANIC group in this nation for quite some time, hearkening back to the days of 1968, the year when violent riots broke out in the streets, with great men like Senator Bobby Kennedy and Martin Luther King, Jr., riding into those same streets demanding a change to the attitudes prevalent in this same nation then–screaming for racial tolerance, social JUSTICE and a fair shake for the common man or woman, who seem to be caught between a rock and a hard place in this country founded upon the words of perhaps our greatest President, Abraham Lincoln, who stated, in “The Gettysburg Address”, that ‘this nation. under God, shall have a new birth of freedom–and that government, of the People, for the People and by the People’. shall not perish from the face of the earth…’.  With so many living hand to mouth in a country so wealthy, wherein millions feel helpless to invoke any real change, not really knowing all of the pertinent FACTS to begin with, by design I might add, we see more and more of them falling prey to the INTENTIONS of some real bad apples (Poster child= Koch Industries) and some equally bad actors (the UN-inspirational poster children of ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’ , currently running for the highest office in the land), barely surviving in the world of ‘capitalism gone CRAZY’, as “it” (ruling plutocrats at the moment) pits one group against another, all while raping and pillaging our land, air and water, while “it” thumps it’s collective chest and shouts out it’s endless demands via the puppets in Washington D.C. who offer up more nauseating ‘talking points’ (I’ll send ya the cleaning bill Mitch), cleverly designed to cover up that sacred mantra they have sold their soul for, over and over again, as well as the deeds that will not go unpunished… PROFIT OVER PEOPLE! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the sunny island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this blustery, cool Saturday morning on Cape Cod, the fifteenth day of October, 2011, and a fine adieu to you and yours wherever this ‘message in a bottle’ may be reaching you.  Yesterday, in New York City, as well as in Denver and several other “Occupy Wall Street” venues across the country and indeed world, there were more arrests and examples of police brutality, only reinforcing a movement that is ORGANIC in nature, you know, that ’science stuff’, only this time it’s turned all the way UP so ‘they’ can’t ignore it, as more and more American citizens are WAKING up to FACTS, as opposed to the fiction they have been spoon fed by the corporate media, and are, thus, beginning to ‘real eyes’ (credit author Michael Brown and the book, “The Present Process”) that they too have a voice in a life, that, the last time they checked, was actually theirs, as well as their children’s and their friends and neighbors, who all make up their lives exponentially more than these crooked, in more than rare exceptions these days, puppet politicians, giving puppets and politicians a bad name, who will forever bow down before the god’s of Wall Street, the oil and gas industry, as well as other multi-national corporate entities, who care NOTHING for the common man or woman in this nation, rather, are only interested in short term, short sighted PROFITS, a model of governance that has taken hold but good in the past three decades or so in this nation that is screaming out for a REAL leader, one who can begin to mend the wounds that were caused by a cancer that is eating away at this great land of ours, a cancer that can be summed up in a word, a word that defines the lust for money and power–GREED. The police actions, brought on by a decade long militarization of the police forces in this country, wherein many, not all by any means, but many cops take the law into their own hands and literally hurt the citizens they are sworn to ‘protect and serve’. They see civilians, many, not most, as enemy combatants who, even when peaceably assembled, which is their RIGHT under the Constitution, see them as somehow seperate from them in everyway, especially ‘agitotors’ and therefore see them breaking the ‘chain of command’ of our ever becoming plutocratic society.  An underlying Marshall law mentality has ensued, wherein, we feel ’safer’ if we have a bunch of heavily armed men, armed with semi-automatic weapons, marching around looking for the ghost of Osama bin Laden.  How much safer are we really and, with the security only getting more ridiculous, how much safer do we want to feel, honestly?  Just ask some of the witnesses to yesterday’s bloody confrontation on Wall Street, where a man, who was a law observer for the “Occupy Wall Street” movement, was violently run over by a cop motorbike, while another man was (all taped and can be watched today on “Countdown, with Keith Olbermann”, please GOOGLE for more information, as you can catch all of this amazing coverage LIVE weeknights at 8 p.m., EDT, only on Current TV) hit by a cop, hit with the cop’s FIST in his face, in front of hundreds of cameras (all happening with the crowd chanting, “THE WORLD IS WATCHING”), that’s right, the cop just hauled off and whacked him, with many other incidents of brutality excesses at will by the NYPD being captured on video tape!  I don’t know about you, but I don’t feel all that safe, well, I do, but then again, I survived being brutally attacked by a rouge cop myself and KNOW what it is like to be assaulted and left for dead…  What takes more guts, standing up for what you believe in by exercising your Constitutional right to free speech, peaceable assembly, as well as the actionable right to stand up to brutal inhuman thuggery?  Or, does it take more guts to dress up in battalion gear, ready for WAR, march out and start whacking innocent, peaceful men and women who are marching about something these idiots might just be interested in if they took enough time to realize their actions, beating innocent people, are the actions of pawns, pawns in a larger game being played by people who wish the status quo to remain the same, hoping a game called the corporate occupation of Washington D.C (Republicorp of America), all bought, paid and brought to you by xyz corporation, will remain unchanged and untouchable, in a system that is ruled by greedy plutocrats who have their collective heads buried in the sand, as the earth’s temperatures continue to rise due to our lack of foresight and care into an atmosphere we all live WITHIN!  God’s speed to the protesters all over this great land of ours, today and tomorrow, for your efforts to ‘give the common man, or woman a fair shake’ is not that much to ask of a small minority of people who have had it so good for the past fifty years or so… at least. Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy, rainy island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Friday, October the fourteenth, 2011, another raw one on Cape, although quite warm and humid, so, I suppose technically, it really is not all that raw, but it is foggy and misty, I’ll give it that…  It is seven a.m. on Cape, as well as in New York City right now, and the protesters down in Zuccotti Park, the movement, now global, that is called “Occupy Wall Street, or fill in the geographic blank”, will be facing the NYPD, as the owners of said park have demanded that the PEOPLE leave so that the park can be cleaned, upon which, they say, the PEOPLE can return, with certain rules being applied, as in no tents, no signs, no protesting, you know, a real life censorship, designed to quell the growing anger that comes when a PEOPLE wake up to FACTS and begin to demand JUSTICE! My heart goes out to the youth that are the energy in this epic movement, that will only get bigger as ‘time’ marches on (credit Keith Olbermann of “Countdown, with Keith Olbermann, airing every weeknight LIVE at 8 p.m., EDT, and again at 11, 2 a.m., 7, noon and three the next day, only on CURRENT TV).  Speaking of Keith, one of his guests spoke to this stand off that is taking place as I write these words, in the early morning hours in New York City, and he equated the police moving protesters out of the park, as far as their ‘authority’ goes, to his rule, in his own house, regarding foot wear, and the fact that he asks his guests to take off their shoes when entering his dwelling…if someone disobeyed this request, and if he called the NYPD to arrest said violator, would they have the ‘authority’, let alone the will to carry out such a request, with the answer being, obviously, probably not.  So too are the fates of the size of the protests in the hands of said ‘authorities’, for when they continue to abuse them, they. like Obi-Wan Kanobi, will only get more and more powerful–when they begin to act on behalf of the corporate milieu, as opposed to serving the PEOPLE, then, Houston, we’ve got a problem! The police are sworn to uphold the law and the Constitution of the United States of America, and, lest WE forget, present to PROTECT AND SERVE to PEOPLE, not the special interests that sometimes supersede the PEOPLE, armed with their self perceived/declared/enforced ‘authority’, authority they seem to have gleaned from the amount of money they currently have, as opposed to the righteous power bestowed upon them by the spirit of a higher LAW, a law of conscience, and law of morality, a law laid down by divine grace.  There was a time in this nation, when we had some hold of that concept, where the Bible was not used as a weapon, rather, as an instructional tool to help us poor human beings live the best life we all could without killing one another.  George Burns, the great actor, comedian and all round good guy, who played ‘God’ in the classic 1970’s film, “Oh, God!”, also starring the great John Denver, put it best when he said, “you have a choice in this life, you can love and cherish one another, or you can kill one another…”, and when you start to maliciously cut programs for people who have next to nothing to eat and tell them they ought to ‘go out and find a job’, when there are none to be found, just look around you, you are, in effect, ‘killing them’, for when one takes away HOPE from a people, when one offers nothing but the same old rat poison to the masses, one cannot ‘hope’ to reach the Pearly Gates any time soon, can one?  Have a nice week end and remember to tune out FOX NEWS, unless you enjoy comedy, for ‘Fox & Friends’, will leave you laughing every time, as it is such as zany, crazy, madcap, kooky show, should you dare to turn it on, you will have to constantly remind yourself that you did not just drop a hit of acid, that this stuff is really on television and the ‘information’ being offered is real, moreover, communicated as if it were factual, accurate and ‘balanced’–please, FOX, you’re killing me over here! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the rainy, foggy island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this wet and wild Thursday morning, the thirteenth of October, 2011, as it has been pouring since yesterday afternoon.  Pop quiz, Herman Cain, professional pizza man, how much does the top one tenth of the top one percent, you know, roughly 15,000 people here in the good ‘ole US of A, how much of a percentage (earnings) of the Gross Domestic Product does that top bracket take home every year in ‘wages’, as it were?  How much do you think, as we take a gander above at a boy looking out at what he can only dream of having one day?  How much?  Six percent!  That’s right, a handful of people take home six percent of ALL the income of this giant pot ‘o gold, steadily rising I might add…  Yes, in the past thirty years that number has gone up by five times, offering hard evidence to the Grand Canyon Theory gap between the haves and the have nots in this nation that was built on the concept of giving EVERYONE a fair shake in a FAIR system and thus, actually having an opportunity at the AMERICAN DREAM, but cannot, for the puppets in Washington D.C. are all bought and paid for by the likes of billionaire industrialist/plutocrats such as ‘The Brother’s Koch’, not to be confused with “The Brother’s Grimm”, famous for writing scary Fairy Tales such as ‘Hansel and Gretel’, a couple of crazy, madcap, fun lovin’ kids who got lost (just like the American people) in the woods one day, as the birds had eaten all of the bread crumbs they laid down to show them the way home (greedy energy companies raping and pillaging our land, air and water with their 596 deadly, unregulated and secret chemicals used in the fracking process of attaining ‘natural gas’, as they allow those crappy, fracking well heads to leak those chemicals into the air and water sources of unsuspecting land owner victims, because they are UNREGULATED! since the 2005 ‘Halliburton Loophole’, thanks DICK!, victims who were gullible and naive enough to ‘believe’ the natural gas industry), thus, ending up at some crazy old woman’s house who had plans to put them in an oven and eat them (can someone say carbon dioxide emissions and the ‘coincidental’ warming of the earth’s atmosphere, causing more powerful storms, rising sea levels, severe droughts, famines, and rising temperatures, prompting massive heat waves and devastating wildfires?  Sure, I knew that you could…), yes, please don’t confuse David and Charles Koch for that, as their Dad lives right here in Osterville, and I have to live here ‘ya know?  I would never want to feel awkward in my own hometown…  Laura Ingram, of FOX NEWS, recently held up some little sign that read, LIVE, on the air, “Hug the rich”… as the only explanation for this would be that her brain must have been replaced (just like Frankenstein’s was in the classic film, “Young Frankenstein”, starring the incomparable Gene Wilder, Marty Feldman and the beautiful Terri Garr), with a brain that had a clear warning on it, sitting in a mason jar in a dark laboratory, stating in large, ominous penmanship, ‘Abnormal Brain’, which Feldman mistakenly read, when Wilder questioned Feldman as to why this monster was acting so angry, irrational and anti-social, and what the name was of said brain when he retrieved it, stating, “I think his name was Abbey something…” To which Wilder responded as he grabbed a hold of Feldman’s throat, “Are you telling me, that we just put an abnormal brain in an 800 pound gorilla, is that what you are telling me??!!” Yes, America that is what WE, here at seacapecod.net are telling you, the world ‘leader’s’ brains have been replaced with an uncaring, nasty, Grinch like mind, heart and soul that does not read history books, nor apply the religion of their choice, you know the black part of the text, not the empty spaces in between the lines of the words spoken by a man they called Jesus, and thus, we have “Occupy Wall Street” and a mood in the nation that borders on the mood of that Romanian town where the town’s people were ready to ’storm the castle’, storming the ‘castle’ of Wall Street and like industries that feed off of the current class disparity in this county, with rotten rules of engagement, carrying their ‘Pitchforks and Torches’ (which happens to be the name of the great journalist, Mr. Keith Olbermann’s, book depicting these very same “Worst Persons in the World”, a segment you can see on his venerable show, “Countdown, with Keith Olbermann”, airing every weeknight, LIVE, the only way to see it, at 8 p.m., EDT, only on CURRENT TV, or, if you had a late one, later that evening at 11, or 2 a.m., 7 a.m., noon, or 3 p.m. the next day, as it rightfully calls out the dumbest, darkest and most despicable living in our society today) all the way to the nation’s capitol, as it recalls one politician, WE are looking at you Scott, “I’m really not a puppet of the Koch Brother’s”, Walker, the current governor of the great state of Wisconsin, after another, righting the ship, as it were, and bringing it into alignment with where it should have been all along.  Eventually, one of these bright lawyers who became “politician”, will see the advantage of actually being with the majority of the people and embrace this very real shift, as the pendulum begins to swing in the RIGHT direction.  Have a nice day and remember that your voice is not without power, that is what ‘they’ want you to think, as they brainwash the public into the mantra that ‘nothing can be done to change the current ‘way it is’ in our tattered country right now…  HOGWASH! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Wednesday morning, the twelfth day of October, 2011, a much cooler start to the early morning on Cape, as the temperatures have finally fallen back to seasonal levels, with heavy rain expected on Thursday…  The republican debates, hosted by Dartmouth College in beautiful Hanover, New Hampshire, went off without a hitch last night as front runner Mitt Romney looked, as noted on the fine morning talk show, “Morning Joe”, only on MSNBC, as if he were the CEO in a board room somewhere, directing verbal traffic, as he steers his way to the nomination.  Rick, “I’ll kill ‘ya if I have ‘ta (just kidding, I’m really a nice guy)”, Perry, seems to be fading like an Arizona sunset, with the rest of the window dressing, by way of Herman Cain, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Jon Huntsman and a robot named Doug, as they all, including Chris Christie, the governor of New Jersey, a strong attack dog, all clamor for a possible cabinet position, or, in the case of Chris Christie, a possible VP nod.  When pitted against Barack Obama, a recent poll showed a virtual tie between Romney and Obama, in the upcoming November 2012 showdown, that will bode well for the folks truly interested in exposing the rigged system that is not sustainable if we wish to keep this country a real democracy, caring for ALL as opposed to some. There is no doubt that the concept of ‘capitalism’, or ‘free market” Laissez Faire economics, brings out the best in some, for it promotes competition, that, if bred in the right environment, with rules of conduct and fairness applied from the beginning, rises both boats with it’s tide, if you will, making both parties better for it.  However, it is not a game that everyone can join in, as we all know, for Wall Street has taken control of the decision making process in a country wherein the PEOPLE were meant for that honor, namely the big investment banks that took advantage of the repeal of the Glass-Steagall act in 1999, a move that made the line between commercial banks and investment banks, as well as insurance companies, go by by, ushering in the highly sophisticated financial instruments known as derivatives, or credit default swaps, which are, in essence, side bets for or against the investment at hand, such as those bundled toxic assets left over from the housing bubble.  As this game went on, all through the not years of this twenty first century, with huge unpaid for tax breaks, 4.1 trillion dollars worth, coupled with two unpaid for wars, as well as a giant pharma deal, creating the huge national debt WE owe foreign nationals like China, as our own infrastructure and society at large crumbles into the sea, more and more American citizens lost their jobs, went bankrupt and were shut out of the gated community, through no fault of their own.  However, one cannot, as we all know, pin this on one ‘corporation’, for not all corporations are ‘bad’.  The point is, that we need to address the big problems in this nation by not putting our collective heads in the sand, rather, BEND a little so that we can begin competing again on the global market and then, perhaps, we might see that some good will come back into the electorate en masse.  Arresting, brutally arresting 140 people, early yesterday morning, 1:30 a.m., to be precise, sleeping protesters from the “Occupy Wall Street-Boston” crowd at the Rose Kennedy Green in that great city did not help matters, in fact, it only made them ‘worse’, for it brought forth more attention to a movement that strikes a nerve with everyone, unless you have been living under a rock.  There is not a single person on these shores of the United States of America who has not felt the pain of this reckless behavior on behalf of some of Wall Street’s power players and their cozy relationship with Washington D.C., moreover, the bedroom eyes projected at their ‘elected’ leaders who were hired to do a job for their constituents, which, the last time I checked, was a job that did not include bending them over a radiator by way of putting the goals and aspirations of their corporate lobbying friends above said, the historically relevant and some would say divinely written statement, per some heavy documents, WE THE PEOPLE… Have a nice day folks and a big shout out to Franklin, Massachusetts this fine a.m., Joe, they just don’t get any better than you brother!  PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS! Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy island of Nantucket!  Great to be with you on this Tuesday morning, the eleventh day of October, 2011, roughly 6 a.m. or so, a warm start to the day again, as we here on Cape, as well as most of New England, have seen record temperatures for this time of year, an Indian Summer to be remembered for sure… It is Day 25 of “Occupy Wall Street”, the organic, real (as opposed to the fake Koch Brother’s/corporate tea party) grassroots movement that has caught FIRE across this great land of ours, speaking to the “BIG LIE” promulgated by ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’, which is, of course, that the whole problem of our government revolves around regulations and taxes, both of which are not wanted by the current puppet show, rather, not wanted by the people who pull their strings, for those functions of a healthy government only stand in the way of ‘progress’, progress, as defined by the plutocratic ruling class as being the complete and utter destruction of the middle class via various ’shock therapies’, one of which was the predatory housing bubble, brought on by the casino-like derivatives market Wall Street has turned into, the globalization of labor/manufactured goods , and the obliteration of the concept of ‘one person, one vote’ (what the plutocrats are REALLY afraid of) via the tough new ‘voter ID laws’ that were put in place in 37 states, after the 2010 republican landslide elections results, not to mention destroying OUR actual living environment by taking out the teeth of the EPA, and punishing the poor by taking away the safety nets that allow those ‘little people’ to eat more than once a week.  Good luck tonight at Dartmouth College boys, and gal, you are going to need it! The big lie of trickle down economics, or voodoo economics, and the ever vocalized mantra spoken is not done by accident, for GOP strategists have long known that if you say something, even if it is a FALSEHOOD, over and over again, it will become ‘fact’ to those who do not take the time to debunk it, thus, hijacking the very people this will hurt the most, the middle and lower class of this country.  This, like the bank bailouts of 2008, were all well orchestrated–if you will recall the arrogant, bullying Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson, former CEO of Goldman Sachs, after those monies, the PEOPLE’S MONIES, were secured for the big banks–as if it were a special op mission in Pakistan.  The government has been taken over, ’tis true, but not by ‘that socialist Barack Obama’, no, it was taken over long ago by the winner of the investment bank derby, Goldman Sachs, a bank for all occasions, and this rigged system of Wall Street, the embodiment of ‘crony capitalism’ is the cancer that is eating away at our economy, our people, and our environment, as it offers nothing in the way of value and proves itself a poisonous snake every day, sucking more life out of our dreams, aspirations, and goals as a nation.  Hell, if we can’t even agree that a bridge falling down is a bad thing, how are we going to agree that continuing to put carbon into the atmosphere is going to result in anything less than catastrophic?  Early this morning, 50 protesters were arrested in Boston for ‘trespassing’, in this great “Occupy Wall Street”, Boston chapter, and thus, will bring more attention to a movement that, again, because it reaches so deep, does not really need any charity from any ‘news’ outlet, for it pretty much speaks for itself and stands on it’s own merits, as “the TRUTH does not need defending”, only discovery and acceptance.  How do you like them apples Charlie!  I wonder if the Romney’s, Perry’s, Cain’s, etc., of the world will stand up tonight, at this republican debate on nothing but the economy, held in beautiful Hanover, New Hampshire, not too far from where this reporter went to college, the University of Vermont, in Burlington, Vermont, yes, I wonder if these professional snake oil salesmen would concur that the Keystone XL pipeline might just be a bad idea, as it is slated to go right through Nebraska, built upon some precious aquifers, running this Tar Sands pipe from it’s origin in Canada to the Gulf coast (not helping our economy at all, save a few thousand jobs that do not justify it’s existence, or by way of ‘weaning ourselves off of foreign oil, as it will simply be put on a barge after being sold overseas to the highest bidder on the international market) will offer up all kinds of environmental problems, one of which is the fact that this type of gritty, nasty oil emits three times as much carbon dioxide into said atmosphere, as well as the fact that it is 16 times more corrosive than light crude normally reserved for these type of pipelines, exposing more risk to OUR water sources and wilderness at large, yes, this horrible experiment of a new form of carbon emission, that one scientist stated, ‘would spell the end of our environment as we know it’, seems as though it will go on through, as President Obama has obviously forgotten just how important our environment really IS, and has been pushed around by the oil and gas industry since his taking over the Presidency, seeming to have given up on doing what is right by that environment, an environment that is not owned by these rotten industries, industries that are systematically poisoning US all, as they make money hand over fist.  This all bringing LIGHT to what is really happening right now in our nation’s Capitol, a cesspool of dirty deals, dirty politicians and dirty intentions, a place devoid of HONOR, HONESTY, INTEGRITY and SOUL.  This is one of the platforms of “Occupy Everything”, as one sign put it, and in this day and age of instant FACT checking and information, I have HOPE that the majority of people in this country will WAKE UP in time to stop this highway robbery of a few greedy plutocrats who still believe that the majority of those “American People” (credit Mitch, ‘the mouse’, McConnell (R-KY)) are too stupid, too busy, too poor, too tired, sick and disillusioned to do anything about their less than honorable intentions, thus keeping the status quo of the past fifty years alive and well...we shall see GOP, we shall see. sun rises to my east outside of my office window, peaking above Cotuit Bay, beaming the first light of day upon the green marshes and the Great Blue Heron who lives in those marshes, unfettered by the goings on of us human beings as we scamper about, hopefully enjoying this planet as much as our feathered friends who make this whole experiment called LIFE worth living…  The Sunday morning talk shows will be fun to watch this ‘morn, for we all know what the topics at hand to be discussed will be, or should be–centered around JOBS and WAGES–the two fundamental problems facing our country today, no matter what kind of spin ‘they’ might put on it.  Robert Reich, one of the most prominent and best minds in the field of economics today, and the Chancellor’s Professor of Public Policy at the University of California at Berkeley, has joined forces, albeit in a talk circuit mode, with the “Occupy Wall Street” movement that has caught FIRE across this great land of OURS, with protests of Wall Street and Plutocratic GREED covering the nation from sea to shining sea, please pardon, again, the sometimes jingoistic tendencies of this particular writer.  He gave a lecture recently, that I watched on CSPAN the other day that caught my attention, for he spoke of ‘the big lie’ that the radical right wing hijackers have continued to spin, namely, consistently stating that the problem in Washington is ‘runaway spending’ and that taxes are too high for corporations as well as individuals, rich individuals.  That the current state of the economy is all the ‘fault’ of President Obama, and that by raising taxes, it would, somehow, even with all of the empirical and historical evidence dismissing this notion outright, ‘hurt’ the ‘job creators’, the old VOODOO economics, i.e. the ‘trickle down’ economics started in earnest by then President Ronald Reagan, who propelled the top one percent in this nation to OWN 35 percent of the wealth, while the average wage for the common man or woman has remained stagnant for the past thirty years, yes, Robert spoke to that big lie and the fact that this republican movement towards total rule by the wealthy will come to fruition IF the republican puppet show in congress continues telling their empty lies as if they were FACTS–brainwashing 101… By ‘employing’ propaganda machines like Rupert, arrggghhhh matie!, Murdoch’s FOX NEWS, the ruling elite can ‘fool all of the people some of the time, or fool some of the people all of the time’, but, as WE all know, they cannot, per Abraham Lincoln, fool ALL of the people, ALL of the time!  That is why we have elections, a brain and a heart, given to us by GOD, not a wizard from Madison Avenue, and thus, may, if applied en masse, bring this nation into an alignment with the TRUTH and put these bums out of business for GOOD.  The only snag to this solution is the now thirty state wide push to make it more difficult to vote, as tougher new voter ID laws have been put into place, making it next to impossible for people of color, the elderly, the young and the indigent to make their ‘little’ voices known.  Slick republican strategists, sharks (my apologies to real sharks everywhere in the seven seas of this world) for lack of a better word, have made this their central issue in the next election, for they know that if they make it more difficult for those aforementioned people to vote, while using intimidation tactics to keep them away from the polls in the first place, they may have enough wiggle room to propel, GOD FORBID, someone like Mitt, ‘corporations are people too’, Romney into the Executive, spelling doom for progressive ideas that involve the concepts and applications of evolution, intelligence and compassion, words the republican party disavows with every fiber of their collective being.  Reich, who also worked as the secretary of Labor under President Bill Clinton, also spoke of HOPE, however, for he knows that progressive ideas always win out when pitted against their REGRESSIVE opposite.  For that IS the definition of this current, ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’, republican offering, as they, the puppets who occupy much of congress today, do their master’s bidding (the corporate milieu), who pine for the days before the Great Depression, you know, around 1920, when Prohibition came into focus, days that saw limited government that favored the rich as it does today, while the whole of the nation floundered, not knowing it was about to go off a cliff in what was that depression that saw soup lines, homeless men building shanty towns in New York City’s Central Park, and one out of every four adults without work, as children in Boston walked to school with cardboard on their feet, as most could not afford shoes, let alone buy them, for the factories were all closed…  This plutocratic grab, i.e., ‘not your grandfather’s GOP’, is not on your side.  Make that perfectly clear. The only thing ‘men’ like David and Charles Koch see, when they look at this beautiful country of ours, are so many dollar signs. For they know, that if they OWN the small, not to be questioned ‘government of the corporation’, they also know they can, as the ENFORCEMENT of our current laws has been de-funded and de-toothed,  continue to rape and pillage our land, air and water at will, PROFIT OVER PEOPLE, bringing nothing of value to those people whom this land was gifted, and thus, only become more and more powerful, as they step on these here ‘little people’ with all of the glee and sadistic joy normally reserved for villainous monsters, destroying one family homestead, with their fracking (chalk full of 596 deadly, unregulated, chemicals used in the process of attaining ‘natural gas’) fluids, at a time.  God help you ‘Brother’s Koch’, God help you, for your actions will be exposed and your deeds will not go unpunished. Greetings and salutations from the sand, sun and surf of Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard and the foggy island of Nantucket~!  Great to be with you on this Friday morning, the seventh day of October, 2011, another stunner on Cape, as you look out onto Nantucket Sound from the high perch of “Faith Hill” at Dowses Beach, in the beautiful seaside village of Osterville, with more grand weather expected up and down the Atlantic seaboard this week end, another feel of Indian Summer that makes us all look forward to another season of warmth, long days and fun in the sun…  Looking at the ‘video tape’ last night, most of which was gleaned from Keith Olbermann’s “Countdown, with Keith Olbermann”, only on Current TV, airing every week night at 8 p.m., EDT, re-airing at 11, 2, 7 and 3 the next day, a display of outstanding coverage that exposed the brutality offered up by your tax dollars at work, yes, give it up for the ‘NYPD’s “white shirted’ officer’s performance last night in lower Manhattan of literally beating the living $hit out of hundreds of peaceful, unarmed protesters who ‘dared’ to cross the ‘agreed’ line and march on the public street named ‘Wall’ itself, as the peaceful ‘bitnicks’ were pepper sprayed randomly, hit with night sticks, slammed down hard on the ground and against walls, arrested, and, in one case that hit home for me personally, a man who cried out three times, “I’m not resisting, I’m not resisting, I’m not resisting”, only to be thrown to the ground and then kicked in the head with a heavy leather boot.  Jesus, please help US! Not to make light of the matter, but a tweet just came into seacapecod.net, asking me to delivery a message to the NYPD. Apparently, the creators of the movie ‘Airplane!’ want some compensation for plagiarizing their script, as in the end of that classic film, where ‘Rex Kramer’, who was the hero in helping ‘Ted’ land the disabled plane safely, said this in his obvious gratitude that his help was appreciated and that, more importantly, it worked–”Ted, that was the lousiest landing this airport has ever seen, but some of us up here in the control tower would like to shake your hand and buy you a drink…(as ‘Ted’ and ‘Elaine’ exit the plane with big smiles on their faces).  “Government issued triple A rated Bonds Ted, that’s the ticket, best investment in America… (as ‘Kramer’, the old pilot, continues to speak to an empty cockpit from the control tower, unbeknownst to him, trying to impart his ‘knowledge’ to someone, anyone, while we all know, that even if ‘Ted’ were still there, would not understand it anyway)… “and Ted, here’s a question for you, have you ever been kicked in the head with an iron boot?  Strike that Ted, of course you haven’t, nobody has, forget I said it…”–I say, dear chaps, it’s not very sporting of you to kick a man in the head when he is already down, now, is it? But, that is, after all, what “Occupy Wall Street” is all about, for the American people have been kept in the dark for decades NOW, intimidated, manipulated, with FEAR tactics by the corporate owned airwaves, and ripped off by GIANT banking, insurance, and energy institutions, who see them, ‘the American people’, as so many fleas on a dog, only valuable if they can ‘work (for slave wages), consume (by way of manipulation from Madison Avenue wizards), and be silent (by not voting, or, should they have the proper ID to vote, vote for someone who does not have their best interests in mind, keeping the status quo alive and well for the United Plutocratic ‘States’ of America, the planet they are from, forever loyal to their modus operandi, “PROFIT OVER PEOPLE”… I find it hilarious that these so called ‘news’ organizations, all owned by the corporate milieu, even PBS to some degree, are only ‘brave’ enough to put their pinky toe in the pool,  never finding the will to jump into the water, as they wince and say, “that’s too cold, I think I’ll just sit on the deck here and sip a margarita, while watching Transformers Five on the big screen, do you want to join me?”  Herman Cain, the surprising Pizza man delivery guy who is making all kinds of stupid statements as of late, is the most recent republican to make a huge gaffe on national television, where Lawrence O’Donnell, of “The Last Word, with Lawrence O’Donnell”, cornered him beautifully and made him say what they all think anyway, namely, and I paraphrase only slightly here, “if you are poor and down and out, don’t blame Wall Street, blame the Obama administration…”.  What?  Hey Herman, easy on the Anchovies, or the pipe, ’cause you be talkin’ out of your a$$, brother’.  I don’t care who you are, but that horse#hit does not fly around these here parts. Wall Street IS the cancer, and you know it. How much did they pay you to say that one?  So, my dear friends, the fight goes on, and today we will see ‘ordinary’ citizens of this great land, still, stand up in Washington D.C., New York, Boston, Detroit, Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Denver, and perhaps even Osterville, no, that is going too far, as Osterville is 99 percent republican, unless you are one of the ‘help’ in town–a servant, a butler, a nanny, a gardener, a wet nurse, a bartender, a waiter, a gas station attendant, a cook, one of the ‘maintenance’ people, a caddy, well, we could be here all day, but, rest assured, none of these people whom I just mentioned can or will vote, I will see to it personally, for they do not possess the magic decoder ring to gain the new ‘proper identification’ cards that will allow all of us to vote for, fingers crossed, Willard, my friends call me “mitt”, but you can call me Mr. “corporations are people too”, Romney, a man who will (God forbid) lead us out of poverty, poverty of the wallet, mind, body and spirit, and into the glory that is the corporation, that wonderful cozy piece of paper that caresses, loves, feeds, gives and brings joy to so many undeserving little people out there…praise the Lord! Have a nice week end folks and remember to not accept any of Sean Hannity’s wooden nickles from FOX NEWS, a plutocratic, brain bending propaganda machine…although, I do hope the reporter and camera man from that outpost, who were beaten yesterday by the NYPD, are alright, as no one should ever be beaten, sprayed or defiled in any way, especially by people who were sworn to ‘protect and serve’… PRESERVE THE WILDERNESS!
