Nantucket could not look any more beautiful than it does today…  Looking out onto the “far away island” on this December 7th, 2009, I have a simple prayer for the 192 nations that have gathered in Copenhagen, Denmark for the world conference on the single most important issue facing our country, as well as the 6 billion other people living with us on planet Earth…GLOBAL WARMING.  I pray that Infinite Light will shine through the politics of ego and offer a real solution to the reduction and eventual elimination of carbon emissions into earth’s fragile atmosphere.  That we can all look at the Polar Bear as ourselves, sitting alone on an iceberg in the middle of the Arctic Ocean wondering how he is going to get home.  I want us all to review how the pollution we have carelessly been throwing into our air, water and soil has hurt this temporary home to us ALL and how important it is for us to THINK about future generations and how they too, even though they cannot speak for themselves, wish to see the splendor of the Polar Bear, the Orca, the Siberian Tiger, the African Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Cheetah, Cape Water Buffalo, Giraffe, Hippo, Crocodile, and every other species on this little blue rock called the EARTH.  You cannot put a price on a child’s smile, on a child’s innocent joy, on a child’s infinite LOVE.  There is a better way.  I pray to God that he brings some sense to a non-sensical system of “doing things”, that He allows for us to heal as a world, that His voice drowns out the small, petty, sometimes inhuman voices of the “powers that be”.  The POWER of God will win in the end, and 100 years from now those voices of greed, cruelty and false witness will fade into the oblivion from whence they came.  God speed leaders of the free world!  Unite for the POLAR BEAR, for it is in his destiny that we find our own.  God Bless Us ALL.  Peace~ M
